Nonrenewable energy resource exploitation produces a great deal of environment pollution and ecological degradation in northern Shaanxi area.The objective of this paper is to investigate the resident population’s wil...Nonrenewable energy resource exploitation produces a great deal of environment pollution and ecological degradation in northern Shaanxi area.The objective of this paper is to investigate the resident population’s willing-to-pay(WTP) for the repristination of the environment in this area.The resident’s survey is conducted in this research in order to establish a Tobit model to estimate their WTP.Results show that the resident’s WTP for repristination of the environment is positively related to the individual’s attitude on environment,his education degree and family income.Also we found that the person will give a higher WTP if he is in the coal mining area.The results show that the total annual WTP in Shaanxi area is 276974800 to 578108400 yuan,and the total WTP during repristination term is 5539495000 to 11562170000 yuan.展开更多
