In order to research on the design and implementation of a modernized GPS civil signals simulation system,a brief review of the modernized GPS signals is introduced,including the signal structure and characteristics o...In order to research on the design and implementation of a modernized GPS civil signals simulation system,a brief review of the modernized GPS signals is introduced,including the signal structure and characteristics of L2C,L5 and L1C signals.The design and implementation of the main modules of the simulation system is described in detail.The simulation system is mainly composed of parameter setting,system initialization,signal generator,noise generator,disturbance generator,signal synthesis,low-pass filter,A/D conversion and storage.The simulation results based on Matlab are then presented,and the power spectral density(PSD) of all navigation signals is analyzed.The simulation system completes the physical layer simulation of a modernized GPS new civil signal and can provide a controllable signal source for designing and testing of modernized GPS civil receivers,especially for the signal processing algorithm design of the GPS software receiver.展开更多

Therefore, the Paddy Fertilizer Recommendation System (PFRS) application package was designed to aid in the dissemination of fertilizer recommendations for paddy fields. PFRS utilized geographical information system (GIS) ActiveX Controls, enabling the user to select a location of interest linked to a spatial database of paddy field soil characteristics. The application package also incorporated different soil fertilizer recommendation methods, forming a relational database. The application's structure consisted primarily of building database queries using Standard Query Language (SQL) constructed during run-time, based on user provided spatial parameters of a selected location, the type of soil desired and paddy production criteria. PFRS, which was comprised of five modules including: File, View, Edit, Layer and Fertilizer/Model, provided the user with map-based fertilizer recommendations based on selected soil nutrient P and K map layers as well as N characteristics and land use maps.展开更多

The new technologies such as virtualisation, consolidation, cloud computing, and software-based solutions are great ways to minimise resource use while maximising the business value of information systems. Technologies and innovations are necessary to ride the inevitable tide of change. Most of enterprises are striving to reduce their computing costs through the means of virtualization. This demand of reducing the computing cost has led to the innovation of cloud computing. Cloud technology offers better computing through improved utilization and reduced administration and infrastructure costs. Cloud computing is the sum of Software as a Service (SaaS) and utility computing. Cloud computing represents a fundamental change in the way computing power is generated and distributed, transforming the delivery of IT tools and products into elastic, on demand services characterized by flexible "pay as you go" payment models. More than half of European Union (EU) businesses and consumers already use some kind of cloud services. The diffusion of cloud computing is expected to generate substantial direct and indirect impacts on economic and employment growth in the EU, thanks to the migration to a new IT paradigm enabling greater innovation and productivity. The cost of using digital technologies, such as information service providers, decreases as the number of users increases. All of these factors work together to promote a rapid growth in the demand for, and supply of, IT products and services.展开更多

The subject matter is modelling for optimal control that ul...The aim of this paper is to propose a discussion about inventory control and to present a new method for testing the control process in terms of uncertainty. The subject matter is modelling for optimal control that ultimately provides the basic parameters for the level of safety stock and the cycle of deliveries. An optimisation criterion is a function minimising the total costs of storage and production coming to a halt because of depleted stock of inputs. Considering the results of the study, it is found that appropriate management process of textile companies requires determining raw materials stocks and its costs very precisely. The stream management process in the enterprise includes an element of fluctuations in demand. This is the source of "a conflict" that appears in two sub-systems: storage and production. At the same time, a systemic approach to the optimal coordination of supply/production calls for effective management of the whole system. Implementation of modem information technologies is one of the factors that support the effective control.展开更多
