The article also points out that the phenomenon of difficult discernment of the authenticity of information in “partner” socialization reflects the superficial and instrumental tendencies of interpersonal communication, weakening the sense of responsibility and moral restraint of individuals. In addition, “partner” socialization may lead to conflicts in social value norms, such as commercialization, consumerist tendencies, as well as social problems under the trends of individualization and atomization. To address the challenges, the article proposes solutions from aspects such as cognitive ability, cultural norms, and atmosphere creation to promote the harmonious development of individuals and society.展开更多

The Summer Before the Dark is a representative work of Lessing’s women portrayal transition from focusing on their outside world exploration to on their inner world seeking. This essay tries to look at the content and form of the novel, and to illustrate that Lessing’s border-crossing is also fulfilled in one single novel.
