Combined with thermodynamic calculation, X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(SEM-EDS), and inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry(ICP-AES) analyses, process parameters of pellet making were optimized, and the enhancement of vanadium oxidation and conversion was realized. The results show that, in balling stage, adding Na;SO;can promote the thermal decrepitation resistance of green pellets;in the drying stage, higher wind temperature can improve the dispersion of sodium salt in pellets;in preheating stage, using O;-rich hot gas can promote more thorough oxidation of vanadium;in roasting stage, the effect of vanadium conversion to sodium vanadate is better when the liquid amount is 15.5%-22.5%. Based on the above measures, the vanadium conversion rate achieved in the roasted pellets is 85.6%, proving the feasibility of vanadium recovery using an existing pellet production line.展开更多

Based on the properties of feed coal and requirements for size distribution of final product, the model gives the required grinding probability for various particles and corresponding ball size distribution. By using this model, 3 different sizes of ball mill are designed and put into commercial use for coal water fuel. The forecasted ball mill capacity, the particle sizes and particle size distribution as well as the coal water fuel quality parameters are all in line with industrial operation results, which have proved the suitability of the model.展开更多

The research results indicate that this 3D-ADS system has the potential to increase reliability and reduce uncertainty in open pit mining operations by customizing the local 3D digital mining map, con-structing 3D truck models, tracking vehicles in real time using a 3D interface and indicating available escape routes for driver safety.展开更多

The results show that there is stronger chemisorption between organic functional groups in MHA binder molecular and specularite particles, improving the green pellet strength. MHA binder has obvious effect on the strength and microstructure of preheated pellets due to the thermal decomposition of organic matters in MHA binder. Appropriately increasing preheating temperature or time can eliminate the adverse impact of organic matters on the preheated pellet strength. Compared with the bentonite pellets, the roasted pellets with MHA binder have a more compact microstructure, and the recrystallization of the Fe2O3 crystal grains is better.Consequently, under optimal conditions, 0.75%(mass fraction) MHA binder pellets have equal or better pellet strengths and contain1.06% more total iron than 2 % bentonite pellets. The testing results indicate that MHA binder is a promising and effective alternative to bentonite for the specularite pellets.展开更多
