Based on the samples of A-share companies listed in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchange during 2012-2014. we studied different effects of managers' self-interest motivation on listed company's business performance under different situations. The innovation of this paper mainly lies in the following two points: on the one hand, we did not adopt the previous research methods which does not distinguish different kinds of company's business performance. Therefore, we divided business performance into two types firstly, then we made empirical text of the influences of managers' self-interest motivation on business performance by virtue of Hausman Model and drew related conclusions under different situations of operating performance. On the other hand, the index measuring managers' self-interest is relatively new.展开更多

Physicochemical properties of the catalysts, such as the specific surface area, pore volume and acidity, etc., were characterized to correlate with their aromatization performance data. The results showed that the pore structure of Al2O3 could significantly affect the catalyst performance. As the accessible pore diameter of the catalyst increased from 8.0 nm to 9.0 nm, the light aromatics yield increased by 2.7 percentage points, while the operating time of the catalyst nearly doubled. In addition, catalysts prepared with SiO2 and aluminum phosphate was more active and stable than that prepared with Al2O3, of which the light aromatics yield enhanced 6---8 percentage points and the rtm length, or seivice eife run length nearly doubled.展开更多

To guarantee a safe operation, process hazard analysis(PHA) is very important to proactively identify the potential safety problems. In the chemical process industry, hazard and operability(HAZOP) analysis is the most widely used method. In this paper, based on proposed qualitative simulation and inference method, an automatic HAZOP analysis method for unsteady operation processes is proposed. Mass transfer and relationships among process variables are expressed by Petri net–directed graph model based fuzzy logic. Operating procedure is expressed according to a formal expression. Possible operation deviations from normal operating procedure are identified by using a group of guidewords. Hazards are identified automatically by qualitative simulation and inference when wrong operation process is performed. The method is validated by a rectification column system.展开更多

Consequently, indicators are useful to assess and improve the performance of existing buildings. In this study, we carried out a literature review and organized a focus group with facility management experts to gather and analyze facility managers' perceptions on operational indicators that could be used to assess the performance of buildings. The results revealed that the core indicators used to measure a building's operational performance are related to safety and assets working properly, health and comfort, space functionality, and energy performance. The findings also revealed that these indicators can be obtained from three sources: a)facility managers/operators, who carry out corrective maintenance and perform technical inspections, b) regular users, who report complaints and fill-in satisfaction questionnaires, and c) sporadic users, who also fill-in satisfaction questionnaires. These indicators and their sources can contribute to a better analysis of building performance and the definition of measures to improve performance during the operational phase of a building.展开更多
