目的使用美国临床和实验室标准协会(CLSI)GP29-A文件方法评估日立7600和贝克曼DXC800测量结果的可比性。方法按生化项目[丙氨酸氨基转移酶(ALT)、天门冬氨酸氨基转移酶(AST)、总胆红素(TBIL)、葡萄糖(GLU)、钾(K)、钠(Na)、氯(Cl)、钙(... 目的使用美国临床和实验室标准协会(CLSI)GP29-A文件方法评估日立7600和贝克曼DXC800测量结果的可比性。方法按生化项目[丙氨酸氨基转移酶(ALT)、天门冬氨酸氨基转移酶(AST)、总胆红素(TBIL)、葡萄糖(GLU)、钾(K)、钠(Na)、氯(Cl)、钙(Ca)、肌酐(Crea)、尿素(Urea)]分别收集单人份血清样本各20份,血清浓度范围均匀覆盖各检验项目的线性范围。每份样本混匀并均分为两份,分别在日立7600全自动生化分析仪和贝克曼DXC800全自动生化分析仪两种不同生化测量系统上进行测量。依据CLSI GP29-A文件方法,以已实现溯源的日立7600全自动生化分析仪为比较测量系统,以贝克曼DXC800全自动生化分析仪为实验测量系统,对两种不同生化测量系统测量结果进行统计并作散点图评估。结果血清生化项目中GLU、K、Na、Cl、Ca、Crea、Urea项目两种测量系统的测量结果在x±D区间内比例在95%以上(不在区间内结果数不超过1个);ALT、AST、TBIL项目两种测量系统的测量结果在x±D区间内比例不足95%(不在区间内结果数大于1个)。结论血清生化项目中GLU、K、Na、Cl、Ca、Crea、Urea两种测量系统的测量结果具有可比性;ALT、AST、TBIL两种测量系统的测量结果不具有可比性。 展开更多

目的了解异基因造血干细胞移植患儿营养状况的变化。方法分别于移植前、移植后30d、60d、100d对89例异基因造血干细胞移植患儿进行身高、体质量、体质指数(BMI)、三头肌皮褶厚度(TSF)、中上臂围(MUAC)、腰围(WC)等人体学测量,同时测量... 目的了解异基因造血干细胞移植患儿营养状况的变化。方法分别于移植前、移植后30d、60d、100d对89例异基因造血干细胞移植患儿进行身高、体质量、体质指数(BMI)、三头肌皮褶厚度(TSF)、中上臂围(MUAC)、腰围(WC)等人体学测量,同时测量脂肪组织(FM)、体脂百分比(%BF)、去脂组织(FFM)及去脂组织百分比(%FFM)等人体成分,并进行生化指标白蛋白(ALB)、前白蛋白(PreALB)测量,比较异基因造血干细胞移植患儿营养状况的改变。结果人体学测量结果显示,在移植后100d内患儿体质量、BMI、TSF均呈现先降后升趋势,在移植后30d降至最低点,然后逐渐上升(P<0.05,P<0.01),WC在移植后100d内持续升高(P<0.01);人体成分测量结果显示,%BF、FM在移植后60d内明显升高(均P<0.05),%FFM在移植后60d内显著降低(P<0.01);生化测量结果显示,ALB呈先升后降再上升的趋势,PreALB在移植后60d内显著上升(P<0.01)。结论在异基因造血干细胞移植后30d内,多数人体学及人体成分测量指标下降;而在移植后60d则存在FFM丢失和FM不断蓄积的现象。不建议将ALB和PreALB作为评价造血干细胞移植患儿营养状况的可靠指标。 展开更多

The results show that Se in burdock stem, skin and leaf are 32.40, 48.63, 38.10 μg/g, respectively; Cd in burdock stem, skin and leaf are 0. 160 0, 0. 300 0, 0. 140 0 μg/g, respectively; Cd in burdock stem, skin and leaf are 2. 020, 3. 960, 2. 410 μg/g, respectively. In the ginkgo and ginko leaf, Se contents are 17.63 and 16.91 μg/g, respectively ; for Cd are 0. 181 0 and 0.2020μg/g, respectively ; for Pb are 3. 572 and 4. 021 μg/g, respectively. In garlic, Se, Cd and Pb are 73. 900 0, 6. 900 0 and 0. 390 0, respectively. All the standard deviations of measured results are below 2.3%, recovery rate are from 99% to 101%. 展开更多

River Ghataprabha, during its course through Belgaum district in Karnataka state (India), receives untreated domestic waste from Gokak town and other neighboring villages situated on the bank of the river. The present study involves the application of water quality model QUAL2K to predict the water quality of this polluted segment of the river. The model was calibrated and validated for biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), dissolved oxygen (DO) and total nitrogen (TN) in pre-monsoon season. Data for calibration and validation were obtained after the field and laboratory measurements. The performance of the model was evaluated using statistics based on standard errors (SE) and mean multiplicative errors (MME). The model represented the field data quite well with some exceptions. In spite of some differences between the measured and simulated data sets at some points, the calibration and validation results are acceptable especially for the developing countries where the financial resources are often limited for frequent monitoring campaigns and higher accuracy data analysis. 展开更多

AIM: To determine serum leptin levels and investigate their correlations with anthropometric and metabolic parameters and biochemical liver function in patients with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection and their potential clinical implications.METHODS: Forty-two chronic HCV-infected patients without anti-viral treatment were enrolled in this study, 30 patients had chronic hepatitis C, 10 had cirrhosis, and 2 had hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Thirty age- and sex-matched healthy individuals served as controls. Serum leptin levels were determined by ELISA. The biochemical liver function and serum lipids were determined at the same time. The height and body weight of patients and controls were measured, and body mass index (BMI) and body fat were calculated simultaneously. The correlations of serum leptin levels with anthropometric and metabolic parameters and biochemical liver function were assessed statistically.RESULTS: The mean of serum leptin levels in patients with chronic hepatitis C, HCV-associated cirrhosis, HCVassociated HCC and control groups was (6.13±3.94),(5.25±4.21), (4.17±0.28), and (3.59±3.44) ng/mL, respectively. The serum leptin level in patients with chronic hepatitis C was significantly higher than that in controls. The serum leptin levels between cirrhotic patients and controls and between male and female cirrhotic patients had no significant difference. Serum leptin levels were positively-correlated with body fat, BMI, and apolipoprotein B (Apo B) in patients with chronic HCV infection. The serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels were closelycorrelated with BMI in patients with chronic hepatitis C. CONCLUSION: HCV infection interferes with fat and lipid metabolism in patients with chronic HCV infection and leptin may play a role in hepatosteatosis. 展开更多

As the competition from companies in low cost countries increases,the need for more automated production which reduces labour cost while improving product quality is required.A new rotary compression bending set-up with automated closed-loop feedback control is thus being developed.By transferring in-process measurement data into an algorithm for predicting springback and bend angle prior to the unloading sequence,the dimensional accuracy is improved.This work focuses on the development of this steering model.Since the method used does not increase cycle time,it is attractive for high-volume industrial applications.More than 150 bending tests of AA6060 extrusions were conducted to determine the capability of the technology.The results show that by activating the automated closed-loop feedback system,the dimensional accuracy of the bent parts is more than three times better than that obtained by traditional compression bending.Since the steering model permits the direct use of additional process data,such as instant wall thickness and cross sectional distortions,it is believed that extension of the measurement capabilities would improve the accuracy of the methodology even further. 展开更多

This paper identifies low-carbon, energy-efficient, and green economic growth as the primary goals of China's new industrialization and defines productivity under new industrialization which; unlike conventional productivity, simultaneously satisfies these goals. In contrast to conventional methods for measuring productivity, this paper employs a non-radial, non-angular SBM directional distance function to estimate new industrialization productivity of industrial sectors across 30 Chinese provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions between 1998 and 2008. Our research shows that conventional measurements of productivity overestimate industrial growth in China's central and western regions. On the whole, prospects for growth performance of China's industrial sectors are not optimistic. The degree of new industrialization is higher in eastern region than in central and western regions, where balancing industrial growth with resources and the environment is a daunting task. This paper's conclusions support "environmental Kuznets curve" and "Porter hypothesis" but reject "pollution asylum hypothesis ". 展开更多

This study aimed to contribute in establishing an international journalism model of professionalism in the production of the news. The main purpose is to explore the degree to which this model predicts the professional values in the media content. In particular, this model was tested on the content of a leading news organization in the Middle East, AI Jazeera, to identify whether or not AI Jazeera reflected professional values in news production or other non-professional values. A total of 592 news stories--234 from AJE and 358 from AJA--published from January I, 2014, to April 30, 2014, were analyzed. The findings of this study indicate that AI Jazeera reflects professional values to a substantial degree. The professional values were reflected highly and nearly two thirds of the stories had professional values in the content. The chi square tests shows there are frequency/percentage differences, but overall the patterns are similar, with no statistically significant differences in the AJA and AlE. Scholarly implications, future studies and limitations were presented in this study. 展开更多

A study about some physicochemical parameters of Egbe reservoir was carried out from September 2005 to December 2006. The parameters include mean temperature, pH, conductivity, alkalinity, TSS, TDS, DO and BOD which have values of 28.7±0.9 ℃ ; 8.3±0.3; 831±172.5 μS/cm; 165.4±18.3 mg/L; 0.06±0.1 mg/L; 0.4±0.6 mg/L; 7.8±2.4 mg/L and 5.2±1.6mg/L, respectively. Temperature and pH were measured in the field using mercury-in-glass thermometer calibrated in degrees Celsius and pH meter, respectively. TSS and TDS were measured by grayimetric methods, while alkalinity was measured titrimetrically and DO and BOD were measured by Winkler's method. For the nutrients, nitrate was measured color±metrically, phosphate by Stannous Chloride method and sulphate by turbidimetric method. Mean concentration of nitrate, phosphate, and sulphate were 15.6±8.6 rag/L; 42.5±19.4 mg/L and 72.3±14.7 mg/L respectively. Nowadays, eutrophication of natural waters is one of the most significant causes of deterioration of water quality, and nitrates and phosphates are probably the key nutrients in controlling the growth of aquatic plants. Though the mean concentration of nitrates and phosphates in the reservoir water were within the acceptable limit, yet their concentrations in some locations of reservoir were high enough to encourage the growth of aquatic macrophytes which would increase productivities. Hence, it is necessary to check their further increase, and periodic monitoring and preventive measures must be adopted to save the reservoir from eutrophication. 展开更多

Optical fiber based SPR sensors have attracted more and more attention due to their unique advantages over the prism-based SPR sensors. A novel fiber-optic SPR sensor with multi-alternating metal layers for biochemical analysis is presented in this paper. Based on the fundamental SPR theory of the fiber optic sensing technology, we theoretically investigated the effects of the existence of alternating layers deposited on sensing region SPR wavelength changes. The emphasis was placed on the numerical simulation of the fiber-optic SPR sensor's sensitivity which could be affected by its technical parameters such as the metal thickness, number of alternating layers. Results showed that, compared to the normal SPR sensor with the single metal layer, the proposed sensor had a wider detecting range of the refractive index and higher sensitivity, which can find applications in biological analysis. 展开更多

Field plate(FP)-terminated 4H-SiC trench gate MOSFETs are demonstrated in this work.N+/P?/N?/N+multiple epitaxial layers were grown on 3-inch N+type 4H-SiC substrate by chemical vapor deposition(CVD),and then the 4H-SiC trench gate MOSFETs were fabricated based on the standard trench transistor fabrication.Current-voltage measurements in forward and reverse bias have been performed on different devices with and without FP protections.It is found that more than 60%of the devices protected with FP termination are able to block 850 V.The measurements also show that the devices have the small leakage currents 0.15 nA at 600 V and 2.5 nA at 800 V,respectively.The experimental results also were compared with the simulated results,which show good agreement with each other in the trend.The limited performance of the devices is mainly because of the damage induced on the trench sidewalls from the etching process and the quality of the SiO2 films.Therefore,the 4H-SiC trench gate MOSFETs are expected to be optimized by reducing the etching damage and growing high-quality SiO2 dielectric films. 展开更多

The assay method of SAL-Na included in the pharmacopoeia is a microbiological method, which is not suitable for the rapid detection in daily scientific research. Besides, the assay methods of SAL-Na reported by literature are not suitable for quantification due to the interference of various excipients. Consequently, the deep study on biological mechanism of SAL-Na is hindered by its assay method. In the present study, we aimed to establish an ultraviolet visible(UV-vis) spectrophotometric method to determine the content of SAL-Na in the liposomes. The first approach was a UV spectrophotometry, in which SAL-Na was dissolved in ethanol and then detected at 287 nm. Although the standard curve measured at 287 nm by UV method had good linearity, the quantification limitation was too high to meet the requirement in determining SAL-Na in the liposomes. In addition, the membrane materials in the liposomes severely affected the measurement. The second one was an improved UV-vis spectrophotometry by vanillin derivatization. In this method, SAL-Na was dissolved in 95% ethanol, mixed with vanillin test solution and heated at 72 ℃ for 40 min for derivatization. After cooling down to room temperature, the solution was detected using UV-vis spectrophotometer at 526 nm. This method could be used to accurately determine the content of SAL-Na at lower concentration, and the absorbance value was stable for 5 d at least. Moreover, the membrane materials of the liposomes did not affect the absorbance of SAL-Na at 526 nm. The precision and recovery studies demonstrated that the vanillin derivatization approach was stable and precise in assaying SAL-Na. In conclusion, the UV-vis spectrophotometry by vanillin derivatization could be used for measuring SAL-Na in the liposomes, thereby laying a foundation for deep study of the biological mechanism of SAL-Na in the liposomes. 展开更多

Due to limited in situ data and diagnostic numerical models, the summer circulation structure and formation mechanism in the Beibu Gulf have always been in controversy in the past 50 years. Therefore, a new three-dimensional hindcast model was built within the northwestern South China Sea(SCS), forced with the daily averaged wind, heat flux, lateral flux, as well as tidal harmonic and eight major rivers discharges. And the east boundary was set up far away off the Qiongzhou Strait(QS). Lastly, the model results were consistent with not only the synchronous observation data from the project 908 but also the historical observed data. As a result, the summer circulation structure was revealed that the southern Gulf was occupied by an anticyclonic eddy whereas the northern Gulf was dominated by a cyclonic gyre. Although the circulation major structure was stable, its area and strength had yearly and monthly oscillation. The other three sensitive experiments indicated that the circulations in the southern and northern Gulf were driven by the SCS circulation and monsoon wind, respectively. After the theoretical analysis of the potential vorticity budget, it was further revealed the circulation in the northern Gulf was driven by the positive wind stress curl in summer. Besides, the river discharge was also significant as the vertical circulation had two layer structures outside the mouth of the Red River. Generally, this work calls for the further research on other subjects, such as ocean biogeochemical or marine fisheries. 展开更多
