Building an Ecological Civilization in China： Towards a Practice Based Learning Approach

The adoption by the 18th Congress of the Communist Party of China in November 2012 of a policy on ecological civilization is a landmark event for the nation and the world community. China＇s vision for building an ecological civilization is comprehensive, multi-sectoral and systemic and is intended to direct and balance progress among ecological, economic, social, cultural and political dimensions of change. Some on-going efforts and potential future activities that meet China＇s vision of an ecological civilization are described. Establishment of dedicated ecological civilization areas for experimenting with legal, regulatory and administrative incentives that would facilitate the march towards the ideal is encouraged. Chinese biosphere reserves which are designated with the explicit aim of building harmony between humans and nature would be suitable candidates for designing and developing such dedicated ecological civilization areas.

Analysis on the effective way of realizing the Chinese dream with the help of the socialist core values

The eighteen Party Congress report pointed out that the essence of socialist core value system is the socialist core values, the value orientation of “prosperity, democracy, civilization, harmony, freedom, equality, justice, rule of law, patriotism, dedication, integrity, kindness”. The comprehensive construction of a well-off society, the development of China socialism, in-depth implementation of Scientific Outlook on Development, people-oriented, to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation Chinese dream is the common aspiration of the people of all ethnic groups in the future and direction of the party, is the focus of future work in a period of time. The realization of “China dream”, to lead the socialist core value system and promote the socialist core values into the socialist reform and construction aspects, realize the comprehensive development of politics, economy, culture and society, promote the construction of ecological civilization. Based on this background, in this paper, the author will be the main socialist core values to achieve the “Chinese dream” theme of the path analysis.

The Modem Reading on Thought of Marxist Ecological Civilization in 〈The Economic and Philosophical Manuscripts in 1844〉

In〈The economic and philosophical manuscripts in 1844〉 （be called manuscripts for short）, Marx deeply criticized alienation of relationship between human and nature by alienated labor concept. The criticism pointed out the way for the solution of the ecological problems and showed the seeds of ecological civilization. The paper reveals the ontology about ecological civilization and generation and elimination of crisis through analyzing the Marxist thought of ecological civilization in manuscripts. The paper believes that Marxist thought of ecological civilization may enlighten us to carry forward and develop it with guidance, sense and theory. We sincerely expect that the thought of ecological civilization will be rooted in the hearts of the people deeply by means of the rise of ＂green＂ concept and the education of ecological ethics. The paper has important theoretical and practical value on deeply understanding the relationship between human and nature with scientific development angle of view, conquering the ecological crisis of globalization scientifically and building and developing ecological civilization of Chinese characteristic socialism energetically.

Empirical Studies of Ecological Civilization Education in Vocational Colleges--Take Chongqing Vocational Institute of Engineering as the Example

Vocational college students are an important force in the country＇s future socialist construction, and their concept of ecological civilization will directly affect the future of socialist construction. This article conducted a questionnaire survey by among 960 vocational college students, and it found that the presence of ecological civilization vocational colleges of education-related departments at all levels of ecological education vocational college students are lack of rational cognition, and the attention is not enough. Therefore, educators should explore effective ways of ecological civilization education colleges, the competent authorities in the school attaches great importance to play the main channel of the effectiveness of teachers and classrooms, and strengthen ecological civilization education; improving vocational college students initiative and practicality, strengthen ecological and environmental legal education to enable students to form a sense of ecological civilization and habits, in order to receive a good education results.

The Philosophical Wisdom and Action Implications of “Beautiful China”

On planet earth, the only place so far known that is suited to human life, human beings are the life form with the greatest vitality and ability. Our attitudes and concepts in relation to the world should not stop at understanding and changing it; rather, they should be sublated into a new worldview through which we can scientifically understand and rationally improve the world. Only on the basis of this new worldview can we find a new focus and a new set of values, a new way of living and acting. ＂Beautiful China,＂ as a literary metaphor for the goal of constructing ecological civilization, vividly and fully expresses a completely new vision for socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics. The building of ecological civilization is a social scheme that needs to be based on clear, comprehensive, long-term and scientific ecological values, guided by ideas and regulated by institutions. It calls for the conscious action of all members of society.
