Galaxies, living beings, society, man-made worlds and all substances have or take part in the four-seasonal movement. There are transverse four-seasonal movement and longitudinal four-seasonal movement. The former is the breathing movement. All substances have the function of breathing. Breathing involves living beings, celestial bodies, society and man-made systems and living beings of different levels have different ways of breathing. The longitudinal four-seasonal movement of living beings is controlled by genes. The four-seasonal movement is confined. Life originates in seeds and seeds are generated in the four-seasonal movement. Thoughts, ideas, designs and methods are the seeds of celestial bodies, society and man-made worlds. Just like living beings, galaxies, and society also have reproductive function. Reproduction has three major means: self-generation, generation by augmentation and generation by transformation. The reproduction of living beings is self-generation while the reproduction of the solar system and other galaxies is generation by augmentation. Man-made objects, society and galaxies are formed with automatic organization of thoughts, thus called generation by transformation. The solar system and the earth have reproduction function. Living beings began with the combined action of the earth, the solar system and the universe. Life forms of the universe include dominant life and recessive life. Different forms of life transform continuously.展开更多

The process began by an oxidation/reduction reaction on the surface of pyrite energized photovoltaically by sunlight. Hydrogen sulfide was oxidized, carbon dioxide was reduced, and phosphate on the surface of the pyrite was a reactant. The first organic compounds were sulfides and phosphoglycerates. These organophosphates were at the center of the energy cycle of all life where the dehydration of a relatively unreactive "low-energy" two-phosphoglycerate transforms it into the "high-energy" phosphoenolpyruvate. Life began as a growth process and continues to grow ceaselessly out of necessity. It cannot discontinue the life-giving energy flow without irreparable loss of the process. All forms of life past and present were and are stabilized systems in which the growth process is contained in metabolic turnover.展开更多

"The earth's primordial abiogenic hydrocarbon theory" and "the serpentinization of abiogenic hydrocarbon theory" are the two mainstream theories in the field of related studies. Ser- pentinizafion generally occurs in slow expanding mid-ocean ridges and continental ophiolites tectonic environment, etc. The abiogenic hydrocarbons and other organic compounds formed through the serpentinization of ultramafic rocks provide energy and raw materials to support chemosynthetic microbial communities, which probably was the most important hydration reac- tion for the origin and early evolution of life. The superposition of biological and abiological processes creates big challenge to the identification of the abiogenic organic materials in serpentinite-hosted ecosystem. Whether abiotic (inorganic) process can form oil and gas resource is a difficult question that has been explored continuously by scientific community for more than a century but has not yet been solved. However, some important progress has been made. The prospecting practice of abiogenic hydrocarbons in commercial gases from the Songliao Basin, China, provides an important example for exploring abiogenic natural gas resources.展开更多
