Since then it has been spreading rapidly, particularly in the southern and southwestern parts of China and caused serious economic loss. The biological research and inte-grated control on E. adenophorum were carried out from 1980's in Yunnan Province. Together with other 15 invasive external species, the weed has been listed in the White Paper by The State Environmental Protection Administration of China. This paper briefly reviews the studies on natural distribution, biological character, ecological character, chemical component, hazard, potential application and the control of E. adenophorum. The research direction for this invasive external species in future was also discussed.展开更多

[Method] Four treatments including different types of fertilizers were set in the test. Growth, photosynthesis and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters at flowering stage such as plant height, stem diameter, shoot and root dry matter, net photosynthesis, light energy conversion effi- ciency (Fv/Fm) and SPAD value, were investigated. The effects of fertilizer treat-ments on the yield of rapeseed were evaluated as well. [Result] Both multi-functional fertilizer and controlled release fertilizer could improve plant height, stem diameter, shoot dry matter, SPAD value, net photosynthesis, non-photochemical quenching (NPQ), etc., which helped increase yield and stress resistance. [Conclusion] Both multi-functional fertilizer and controlled release fertilizer could improve yield significantly while multi-functional fertilizer (MFF) was better than controlled release fertilizer (CRF).展开更多
The human-induced vertical vibration serviceability of low-frequency and lightweight footbridges is studied based on the moving mass-spring-damper(MMSD) biodynamic model, and the mass damper(TMD) with different op...The human-induced vertical vibration serviceability of low-frequency and lightweight footbridges is studied based on the moving mass-spring-damper(MMSD) biodynamic model, and the mass damper(TMD) with different optimal model parameters being used to control the vertical vibration.First, the MMSD biodynamic model is employed to simulate the pedestrians, and the time-varying control equations of the vertical dynamic coupling system of the pedestrian-bridgeTMD are established with the consideration of pedestrianbridge dynamic interaction; and the equations are solved by using the Runge-Kutta-Felhberg integral method with variable step size. Secondly, the footbridge dynamic response is calculated under the model of pedestrian-structure dynamic interaction and the model of moving load when the pedestrian pace frequency is consistent with the natural frequency of footbridge. Finally, a comparative study and analysis are made on the control effects of the vertical dynamic coupling system in different optimal models of the TMD. The calculation results show that the pedestrian-bridge dynamic interaction cannot be ignored when the vertical human-induced vibration serviceability of low-frequency and light-weight footbridge is evaluated. The TMD can effectively reduce the vibration under the resonance of pedestrian-bridge, and TMD parameters are recommended for the determination by the Warburton optimization model.展开更多

The extruded rods were heat treated with aging trea...Mg-2.7Nd-0.2Zn-0.4Zr (mass fraction, %) alloy was designed for degradable biomedical material. The ingots of the alloy were solution treated and then hot extruded. The extruded rods were heat treated with aging treatment, solution treatment and solution+aging treatment, respectively. Microstructures of the alloy were observed by optical microscopy (OM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Mechanical properties at room temperature were tested. In vitro degradation behavior of the alloy immersed in simulated body fluid was measured by hydrogen evolution and mass loss tests. The degradation morphologies of the alloy with and without degradation products were observed by SEM. The results show that the grains grow apparently after solution treatment. Solution treatment improves the elongation of as-extruded alloy significantly and decreases the strength, while aging treatment improves the strength and reduces the elongation of the alloy. The yield ratio is reduced by heat treatment. The in vitro degradation results of the alloy show that solution treatment on the as-extruded alloy results in a little higher degradation rate and aging treatment on the alloy can reduce degradation rate slightly.展开更多

In June and July of 2014, the excessive rainfal leads to the serious outbreak of leaf disease of L. lanci-folium. In mid-June, the wilting rate of L. lancifolium in seriously-infected field was even up to 50%-70%. In some fields, the shoots of L. lancifolium even al wilted. The pathogen was isolated from the infected leaves of L. lancifolium. Its pathogenici-ty, spore morphology, 18S rDNA sequence and biological characteristics were stud-ied. The results showed the isolated pathogen was Alternaria alternate. The lethal temperature of mycelial growth was 55 ℃. The optimum pH was 6-7. Among the tested carbon sources and nitrogen sources, the optimum carbon source was mal-tose, and the optimum nitrogen source was yeast extract.展开更多

The effect of Si on the growth kinetics of intermetallic compounds during the reaction of solid iron and molten aluminum was investigated with a scanning electron microscope coupled with an energy dispersive X-ray spe...The effect of Si on the growth kinetics of intermetallic compounds during the reaction of solid iron and molten aluminum was investigated with a scanning electron microscope coupled with an energy dispersive X-ray spectroscope, and hot-dip aluminized experiments. The results show that the intermetallic layer is composed of major Fe2Al5 and minor FeAl3. The Al-Fe-Si ternary phase, rl/rg, is formed in the Fe2Al5 layer. The tongue-like morphology of the Fe2Als layer becomes less distinct and disappears finally as the content of Si in aluminum bath increases. Si in the bath improves the prohibiting ability to the growth of Fe2Als and FeAl3. When the contents of Si are 0, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0% and 3.0%, the activation energies of Fe2Al5 are evaluated to be 207, 186, 169, 168, 167 and 172 kJ/mol, respectively. The reduction of the activation energy might result from the lattice distortion caused by Si atom penetrating into the Fe2Al5 phase. When Si atom occupies the vacancy site, it blocks easy diffusion path and results in the disappearance of tongue-like morphology.展开更多
Twenty-two nitrate nonutilizing (nit) mutants were recovered from five wild-type isolates of Fusarium graminearum and fifty nit mutants were recovered from three JS399-19-resistant mutants of F. graminearum cultured...Twenty-two nitrate nonutilizing (nit) mutants were recovered from five wild-type isolates of Fusarium graminearum and fifty nit mutants were recovered from three JS399-19-resistant mutants of F. graminearum cultured on MMC medium. Some biological properties were compared between nit mutants and their parental isolates. The results showed that there were no significant differences in growth rate, cultural characters or pathogenicity between JS399-19-resistant nit mutants and their parental isolates. But the conidial production and the sexual reproduction ability changed to some extent. There was no cross resistance toward chlorate and JS399-19 in F. graminearum and the resistance could be stable through 20-time subcultures. Therefore, the nit could be used as a genetic marker for studying the genetics of JS399-19 resistance in E graminearum, which was used to study JS399-19 resistance transferability in hyphal fusion. Resistance in JS399-19 could not be transferred by hyphal fusion or could be transferred with low chance between two compatible isolates, which would delay the development of JS399-19 resistance in the field.展开更多

The results showed that: there was no notable difference among the physical and chem- ical properties of IPIs of the five north medicinal plants; the IPIs were mainly hy- drophilic; the IPIs were mainly located in chloroplasts by subcellular localization; serine phosphorylation sites were the most; the secondary structures mainly consist- ed of c^-helixes and random coils; no signal peptide existed, indicating that the pro- tein IPI was non-secreted protein; no trans-membrane domain existed; and one functional domain was shown, Le., Nudix Hydrolase Superfamily. This study is of great significance to research on IPI gene functions, deep research on north medic- inal plants, improvement of efficacy of north medicinal plants and rational develop- ment and utilization of medicinal plant resources.展开更多

The denomination on this group of Asplenium is very confused in the herbaria. We hop e by means of a biosystematic study to find out their genetic relationships in the reticulate evolution, and to raise a suggestion on their taxonomic treatment. Evidence from cytology, allozyme, morphology, and palynology shows that three ancestor diploids have formed Asplenium sarelii complex comprising 13 members. A. sarelii Hook. should be typified as a diploid. The so-called tetraploid 'A. sarelii' before is an allotetraploid that comes from the doubled hybrid between diploid A. sarelii and A. tenuicaule Hayata, which should be treated as a new species A. wudangense Z. R. Wang et X. Hou. A. pekinense Hance is an autotetraploid that comes from the doubled diploid ancestor A. sarelii. A. lushanense C. Chr., a diploid species and the only ancestor of A. yunnariense group, should not been sunk as a synonym of tetraploid A. yunnariense Franch. Most probably, A. varians Wall. ex Hook. et Grev. is an autotetraploid of A. tenuicaule Hayata. Three new natural tetraploid hybrids and their origins have been found out: they are A. x longmenense ( = A. pekinense x varians), A. x jingyunense ( = A. pekinense x yunnanense) and A. x kidoi ( = A. pekinense x wudangense). Three other new natural triploid hybrids have been found and their origins have been inferred: they are A. X huawuense ( = A. sarelii X wudangense), A. x luyunense ( = A. lushanense x yunnanense) and A. x teniuvaians ( = A. tenuicaule x varians). The method of allozyme comparion combined with cytological observation is employed to reveal the complicated relationships among the members of Asplenium sarelii complex in reticulate evolution and proved to be a highly effective tool to investigate the origin of polyploid and hybrid.展开更多

[ Result] The identified snR95 box H/ACA snoRNA had conservative component and structural features of box C/D snoRNA family, possessed two more than 10 nt long rRNA antisense elements. The result revealed that the novel snoRNA is a partial counterpart of the rice Z270, named box C/D snoRNA -AthZ270. [ Conclusion ] Z270 snoRNA in Arabidopsis thalianan has different function with common snoRNA.展开更多
The aim of this work was to study the influence of the processing route on the microstructural constituents,hardness andtribological(wear and friction)behavior of Ti6Al4V biomedical alloy.In this sense,three different...The aim of this work was to study the influence of the processing route on the microstructural constituents,hardness andtribological(wear and friction)behavior of Ti6Al4V biomedical alloy.In this sense,three different processing routes were studied:conventional casting,hot pressing and selective laser melting.A comprehensive metallurgical,mechanical and tribologicalcharacterization was performed by X-ray diffraction analysis,Vickers hardness tests and reciprocating ball-on-plate wear tests ofTi6Al4V/Al2O3sliding pairs.The results showed a great influence of the processing route on the microstructural constituents andconsequent differences on hardness and wear performance.The highest hardness and wear resistance were obtained for Ti6Al4Valloy produced by selective laser melting,due to a markedly different cooling rate that leads to significantly different microstructurewhen compared to hot pressing and casting.This study assesses and confirms that selective laser melting is potential to producecustomized Ti6Al4V implants with improved wear performance.展开更多

In this study, a total of 1 808 chloroplast core proteins in Arabidopsis thaliana were reliably identified by combining the results of pr...Chloroplast is a typical plant cell organelle where photosynthesis takes place. In this study, a total of 1 808 chloroplast core proteins in Arabidopsis thaliana were reliably identified by combining the results of previously published studies and our own predictions. We then constructed a chloroplast protein interaction network primarily based on these core protein interactions. The network had 22 925 protein interaction pairs which involved 2 214 proteins. A total of 160 previously uncharacterized proteins were annotated in this network. The subunits of the photosynthetic complexes were modularized, and the functional relationships among photosystem Ⅰ (PSI), photosystem Ⅱ (PSII), light harvesting complex of photosystem Ⅰ (LHC Ⅰ) and light harvesting complex of photosystem Ⅰ (LHC Ⅱ) could be deduced from the predicted protein interactions in this network. We further confirmed an interaction between an unknown protein AT1G52220 and a photosynthetic subunit PSI-D2 by yeast two-hybrid analysis. Our chloroplast protein interaction network should be useful for functional mining of photosynthetic proteins and investigation of chloroplast-related functions at the systems biology level in Arabidopsis.展开更多

High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis of photosynthetic pigments in samples from Western Xiamen Bay and the Jiulong River Estuary showed that their major carotenoids were fucoxanthin, peridinin, zeaxa...High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis of photosynthetic pigments in samples from Western Xiamen Bay and the Jiulong River Estuary showed that their major carotenoids were fucoxanthin, peridinin, zeaxanthin, violaxanthin, and diadinoxanthin. Diatoms dominated in the spring bloom, dinoflagellates in summer. Violaxanthin and chlorophyll b indicated the appearance of chrysophytes and green algae, most of which were freshwater species. The high phytoplankton biomass region was located at the inner part of the bay. Diatoms and dinoflagellates dominated phytoplankton communities, contributing to over 50% of total biomass. All the main diagnostic carotenoids were significantly (P<0.01) correlated negatively to dissolved inorganic phosphorus, suggesting that they were limited by phosphorus. The high negative linear relationship (P<0.0001) between dissolved inorganic phosphorus and peridinin (dinoflagellates indicator) implied the potential of dissolved inorganic phosphorus for triggering red tide events in this region.展开更多
Engineered Corynebacterium glutamicum was constructed for L-ornithine production by disrupting genes of argF and proB to prevent the flux away from L-ornithine.Effect of the inactivation of 2-oxoglutarate de-hydrogena...Engineered Corynebacterium glutamicum was constructed for L-ornithine production by disrupting genes of argF and proB to prevent the flux away from L-ornithine.Effect of the inactivation of 2-oxoglutarate de-hydrogenase complex(ODHC) on L-ornithine production was also investigated.It was found that the inactivation of ODHC by knockout of the kgd gene enhanced L-ornithine production.The engineered C.glutamicum ATCC13032(ΔargFΔproBΔkgd) produced L-ornithine up to 4.78 g·L-1 from 0.24 g·L-1 of the wild-type strain.In order to understand the mechanism of L-ornithine production in C.glutamicum ATCC13032(ΔargFΔproBΔkgd) and find out new strategies for further enhancing L-ornithine production,the comparative proteome between the wild-type and the engineered strain was analyzed.L-Ornithine overproduction in the engineered strain was related to the up-regulation of the expression levels of enzymes involved in L-ornithine biosynthesis pathway and down-regulation of the expression levels of proteins involved in pentose phosphate pathway.The overexpression of genes in the upstream pathway of glutamate to increase the availability of endogenous glutamate may further in-crease ornithine production in the engineered C.glutamicum and the ornithine synthesis enzymes(ArgCJBD) may not be the limiting enzymes in the engineered C.glutamicum.展开更多
The regenerating islet-derived members (Reg), a group of small secretory proteins, which are involved in cell proliferation or differentiation in digestive organs, are upregulated in several gastrointestinal cancers...The regenerating islet-derived members (Reg), a group of small secretory proteins, which are involved in cell proliferation or differentiation in digestive organs, are upregulated in several gastrointestinal cancers, functioning as trophic or antiapoptotic factors. Regenerat- ing islet-derived type Ⅳ (RegⅣ), a member of the Reg gene family, has been reported to be overexpressed in gastroenterological cancers. RegIV overexpression in tumor cells has been associated with carcinogen- esis, cell growth, survival and resistance to apoptosis. Cancer tissue expressing RegIV is generally associated with more malignant characteristics than that with- out such expression, and RegⅣ is considered a novel prognostic factor as well as diagnostic marker in some gastroenterological cancers. We previously investigated the expression levels of RegⅣ mRNA of 202 surgical colorectal cancer specimens with quantitative real-time reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction and reported that a higher level of RegⅣ gene expression was a significant independent predictor of colorec- tal cancer. The biologic functions of RegⅣ protein in cancer tissue, associated with carcinogenesis, anti- apoptosis and invasiveness, are being elucidated by molecular investigations using transfection techniques or neutralizing antibodies of RegIV, and the feasibility of antibody therapy targeting RegIV is being assessed. These studies may lead to novel therapeutic strate- gies for gastroenterological cancers expressing RegⅣ. This review article summarizes the current information related to biological functions as well as clinical impor- tance of RegⅣ gene to clarify the significance of Reg~ expression in gastroenterological cancers.展开更多

The in vitro degradation results of the alloy show that solution treatment on the as-extruded alloy results in a little higher degradation rate and aging treatment on the alloy can reduce degradation rate slightly.

文摘With the increasing planting area of Lilium lancifolium, the leaf fungal dis-ease of L. lancifolium is becoming more and more serious. In June and July of 2014, the excessive rainfal leads to the serious outbreak of leaf disease of L. lanci-folium. In mid-June, the wilting rate of L. lancifolium in seriously-infected field was even up to 50%-70%. In some fields, the shoots of L. lancifolium even al wilted. The pathogen was isolated from the infected leaves of L. lancifolium. Its pathogenici-ty, spore morphology, 18S rDNA sequence and biological characteristics were stud-ied. The results showed the isolated pathogen was Alternaria alternate. The lethal temperature of mycelial growth was 55 ℃. The optimum pH was 6-7. Among the tested carbon sources and nitrogen sources, the optimum carbon source was mal-tose, and the optimum nitrogen source was yeast extract.

Result Anisodine wasobtainded with an overall yield of 2.6 % . Conclusion Total synthetic route of anisodine wasachieved which may afford a possible route for commercial preparation of anisodine.

文摘The effect of Si on the growth kinetics of intermetallic compounds during the reaction of solid iron and molten aluminum was investigated with a scanning electron microscope coupled with an energy dispersive X-ray spectroscope, and hot-dip aluminized experiments. The results show that the intermetallic layer is composed of major Fe2Al5 and minor FeAl3. The Al-Fe-Si ternary phase, rl/rg, is formed in the Fe2Al5 layer. The tongue-like morphology of the Fe2Als layer becomes less distinct and disappears finally as the content of Si in aluminum bath increases. Si in the bath improves the prohibiting ability to the growth of Fe2Als and FeAl3. When the contents of Si are 0, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0% and 3.0%, the activation energies of Fe2Al5 are evaluated to be 207, 186, 169, 168, 167 and 172 kJ/mol, respectively. The reduction of the activation energy might result from the lattice distortion caused by Si atom penetrating into the Fe2Al5 phase. When Si atom occupies the vacancy site, it blocks easy diffusion path and results in the disappearance of tongue-like morphology.

文摘Twenty-two nitrate nonutilizing (nit) mutants were recovered from five wild-type isolates of Fusarium graminearum and fifty nit mutants were recovered from three JS399-19-resistant mutants of F. graminearum cultured on MMC medium. Some biological properties were compared between nit mutants and their parental isolates. The results showed that there were no significant differences in growth rate, cultural characters or pathogenicity between JS399-19-resistant nit mutants and their parental isolates. But the conidial production and the sexual reproduction ability changed to some extent. There was no cross resistance toward chlorate and JS399-19 in F. graminearum and the resistance could be stable through 20-time subcultures. Therefore, the nit could be used as a genetic marker for studying the genetics of JS399-19 resistance in E graminearum, which was used to study JS399-19 resistance transferability in hyphal fusion. Resistance in JS399-19 could not be transferred by hyphal fusion or could be transferred with low chance between two compatible isolates, which would delay the development of JS399-19 resistance in the field.

文摘This study analyzed and predicted following aspects of isopentenyl py- rophosphate isomerases (IPIs) of five north medicinal plants using bioinformatics methods and tools: physical and chemical properties, hydrophobicity/hydrophilicity, trans-membrane domain, secondary structure, subcellular localization and so on. The results showed that: there was no notable difference among the physical and chem- ical properties of IPIs of the five north medicinal plants; the IPIs were mainly hy- drophilic; the IPIs were mainly located in chloroplasts by subcellular localization; serine phosphorylation sites were the most; the secondary structures mainly consist- ed of c^-helixes and random coils; no signal peptide existed, indicating that the pro- tein IPI was non-secreted protein; no trans-membrane domain existed; and one functional domain was shown, Le., Nudix Hydrolase Superfamily. This study is of great significance to research on IPI gene functions, deep research on north medic- inal plants, improvement of efficacy of north medicinal plants and rational develop- ment and utilization of medicinal plant resources.
文摘The series Variantia Ching et S. H. Wu mainly occur in China and its members are highly variable in morphology. The denomination on this group of Asplenium is very confused in the herbaria. We hop e by means of a biosystematic study to find out their genetic relationships in the reticulate evolution, and to raise a suggestion on their taxonomic treatment. Evidence from cytology, allozyme, morphology, and palynology shows that three ancestor diploids have formed Asplenium sarelii complex comprising 13 members. A. sarelii Hook. should be typified as a diploid. The so-called tetraploid 'A. sarelii' before is an allotetraploid that comes from the doubled hybrid between diploid A. sarelii and A. tenuicaule Hayata, which should be treated as a new species A. wudangense Z. R. Wang et X. Hou. A. pekinense Hance is an autotetraploid that comes from the doubled diploid ancestor A. sarelii. A. lushanense C. Chr., a diploid species and the only ancestor of A. yunnariense group, should not been sunk as a synonym of tetraploid A. yunnariense Franch. Most probably, A. varians Wall. ex Hook. et Grev. is an autotetraploid of A. tenuicaule Hayata. Three new natural tetraploid hybrids and their origins have been found out: they are A. x longmenense ( = A. pekinense x varians), A. x jingyunense ( = A. pekinense x yunnanense) and A. x kidoi ( = A. pekinense x wudangense). Three other new natural triploid hybrids have been found and their origins have been inferred: they are A. X huawuense ( = A. sarelii X wudangense), A. x luyunense ( = A. lushanense x yunnanense) and A. x teniuvaians ( = A. tenuicaule x varians). The method of allozyme comparion combined with cytological observation is employed to reveal the complicated relationships among the members of Asplenium sarelii complex in reticulate evolution and proved to be a highly effective tool to investigate the origin of polyploid and hybrid.

文摘[ Objective] To identify a novel snoRNA gene in Arabidopsis thalianan. [ Method ] Genome sequence of Arabidopsis thalianan was screened by using bioinformatics methods, and the sequence structure, organization form and function of typical candidate gene were analyzed. [ Result] The identified snR95 box H/ACA snoRNA had conservative component and structural features of box C/D snoRNA family, possessed two more than 10 nt long rRNA antisense elements. The result revealed that the novel snoRNA is a partial counterpart of the rice Z270, named box C/D snoRNA -AthZ270. [ Conclusion ] Z270 snoRNA in Arabidopsis thalianan has different function with common snoRNA.

文摘The aim of this work was to study the influence of the processing route on the microstructural constituents,hardness andtribological(wear and friction)behavior of Ti6Al4V biomedical alloy.In this sense,three different processing routes were studied:conventional casting,hot pressing and selective laser melting.A comprehensive metallurgical,mechanical and tribologicalcharacterization was performed by X-ray diffraction analysis,Vickers hardness tests and reciprocating ball-on-plate wear tests ofTi6Al4V/Al2O3sliding pairs.The results showed a great influence of the processing route on the microstructural constituents andconsequent differences on hardness and wear performance.The highest hardness and wear resistance were obtained for Ti6Al4Valloy produced by selective laser melting,due to a markedly different cooling rate that leads to significantly different microstructurewhen compared to hot pressing and casting.This study assesses and confirms that selective laser melting is potential to producecustomized Ti6Al4V implants with improved wear performance.

文摘Chloroplast is a typical plant cell organelle where photosynthesis takes place. In this study, a total of 1 808 chloroplast core proteins in Arabidopsis thaliana were reliably identified by combining the results of previously published studies and our own predictions. We then constructed a chloroplast protein interaction network primarily based on these core protein interactions. The network had 22 925 protein interaction pairs which involved 2 214 proteins. A total of 160 previously uncharacterized proteins were annotated in this network. The subunits of the photosynthetic complexes were modularized, and the functional relationships among photosystem Ⅰ (PSI), photosystem Ⅱ (PSII), light harvesting complex of photosystem Ⅰ (LHC Ⅰ) and light harvesting complex of photosystem Ⅰ (LHC Ⅱ) could be deduced from the predicted protein interactions in this network. We further confirmed an interaction between an unknown protein AT1G52220 and a photosynthetic subunit PSI-D2 by yeast two-hybrid analysis. Our chloroplast protein interaction network should be useful for functional mining of photosynthetic proteins and investigation of chloroplast-related functions at the systems biology level in Arabidopsis.

文摘Thermodynamic models for molecular-beam epitaxy(MBE) growth of ternary Ⅲ-Ⅴ semiconductor materials are proposed.These models are in agreement with our experimental materials InGaP/GaAs and InGaAs/InP,and reported GaAsP/GaAs and InAsP/InP in thermodynamic growth.The lattice strain energy △G and thermal decomposition sensitive to growth temperature are demonstrated in the models simultaneously.△G is the function of the alloy composition,which is affected by flux ratio and growth temperature directly.The calculation results reveal that flux ratio and growth temperature mainly influence the growth process.Thermodynamic model of quaternary InGaAsP/GaAs semiconductor material is discussed also.
文摘High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis of photosynthetic pigments in samples from Western Xiamen Bay and the Jiulong River Estuary showed that their major carotenoids were fucoxanthin, peridinin, zeaxanthin, violaxanthin, and diadinoxanthin. Diatoms dominated in the spring bloom, dinoflagellates in summer. Violaxanthin and chlorophyll b indicated the appearance of chrysophytes and green algae, most of which were freshwater species. The high phytoplankton biomass region was located at the inner part of the bay. Diatoms and dinoflagellates dominated phytoplankton communities, contributing to over 50% of total biomass. All the main diagnostic carotenoids were significantly (P<0.01) correlated negatively to dissolved inorganic phosphorus, suggesting that they were limited by phosphorus. The high negative linear relationship (P<0.0001) between dissolved inorganic phosphorus and peridinin (dinoflagellates indicator) implied the potential of dissolved inorganic phosphorus for triggering red tide events in this region.

文摘Engineered Corynebacterium glutamicum was constructed for L-ornithine production by disrupting genes of argF and proB to prevent the flux away from L-ornithine.Effect of the inactivation of 2-oxoglutarate de-hydrogenase complex(ODHC) on L-ornithine production was also investigated.It was found that the inactivation of ODHC by knockout of the kgd gene enhanced L-ornithine production.The engineered C.glutamicum ATCC13032(ΔargFΔproBΔkgd) produced L-ornithine up to 4.78 g·L-1 from 0.24 g·L-1 of the wild-type strain.In order to understand the mechanism of L-ornithine production in C.glutamicum ATCC13032(ΔargFΔproBΔkgd) and find out new strategies for further enhancing L-ornithine production,the comparative proteome between the wild-type and the engineered strain was analyzed.L-Ornithine overproduction in the engineered strain was related to the up-regulation of the expression levels of enzymes involved in L-ornithine biosynthesis pathway and down-regulation of the expression levels of proteins involved in pentose phosphate pathway.The overexpression of genes in the upstream pathway of glutamate to increase the availability of endogenous glutamate may further in-crease ornithine production in the engineered C.glutamicum and the ornithine synthesis enzymes(ArgCJBD) may not be the limiting enzymes in the engineered C.glutamicum.
文摘The regenerating islet-derived members (Reg), a group of small secretory proteins, which are involved in cell proliferation or differentiation in digestive organs, are upregulated in several gastrointestinal cancers, functioning as trophic or antiapoptotic factors. Regenerat- ing islet-derived type Ⅳ (RegⅣ), a member of the Reg gene family, has been reported to be overexpressed in gastroenterological cancers. RegIV overexpression in tumor cells has been associated with carcinogen- esis, cell growth, survival and resistance to apoptosis. Cancer tissue expressing RegIV is generally associated with more malignant characteristics than that with- out such expression, and RegⅣ is considered a novel prognostic factor as well as diagnostic marker in some gastroenterological cancers. We previously investigated the expression levels of RegⅣ mRNA of 202 surgical colorectal cancer specimens with quantitative real-time reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction and reported that a higher level of RegⅣ gene expression was a significant independent predictor of colorec- tal cancer. The biologic functions of RegⅣ protein in cancer tissue, associated with carcinogenesis, anti- apoptosis and invasiveness, are being elucidated by molecular investigations using transfection techniques or neutralizing antibodies of RegIV, and the feasibility of antibody therapy targeting RegIV is being assessed. These studies may lead to novel therapeutic strate- gies for gastroenterological cancers expressing RegⅣ. This review article summarizes the current information related to biological functions as well as clinical impor- tance of RegⅣ gene to clarify the significance of Reg~ expression in gastroenterological cancers.
