The results show that the intermetallic layer is composed of major Fe2Al5 and minor FeAl3. The Al-Fe-Si ternary phase, rl/rg, is formed in the Fe2Al5 layer. The tongue-like morphology of the Fe2Als layer becomes less distinct and disappears finally as the content of Si in aluminum bath increases. Si in the bath improves the prohibiting ability to the growth of Fe2Als and FeAl3. When the contents of Si are 0, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0% and 3.0%, the activation energies of Fe2Al5 are evaluated to be 207, 186, 169, 168, 167 and 172 kJ/mol, respectively. The reduction of the activation energy might result from the lattice distortion caused by Si atom penetrating into the Fe2Al5 phase. When Si atom occupies the vacancy site, it blocks easy diffusion path and results in the disappearance of tongue-like morphology.展开更多

Methods: The p35 gene was amplified by polymerase chain reaction(PCR), cloned to pQE31, and a positive clone was screened. PCR-mediated mutagenesis was used to change the two "TGA" triplets to "TGG" triplets within the p35 gene. Production of the recombinant protein was induced by the addition of IPTG to the E.coli culture. rP35 was purified with a Ni-NTA Spin Kit and rP35 purification was analyzed by Western blot. Results: About 1Kb PCR amplification was cloned into pQE31. The two "TGA" triplets within the p35 gene were successfully changed to "TGG" triplets. The pQE31/p35 vector expressed a protein with a calculated molecular mass of 37.4kDa in E.coli. Western blot indicated the 37.4kDa protein was rP35 . Conclusion: PQE31/p35, a prokaryotic expression vector containing p35 gene, was successfully constructed and expressed in E.coli.展开更多

In Europe the subarctic and arctic tundra are abundant only in Nenetsky autonomous area and in the north-east of the republic of Komi. Oil and gas production activity has threatened richest biological resources and health of the population of the region. A singularity of petroliferous fields of the north of Russia is the existence of the thick strata of permafrost. On top of them different heat-insulating overlying layers (snow, biogenic covers) reside. State and dynamics of permafrost cause progressing dangerous exogenic geoecological processes, which are exhibited completely. State of permafrost is instituted by exchange of heat in near-surface strata of a geological section. During the development of oil fields there is a disturbance of a temperature schedule of permafrost. For estimation of technical attack the analytical computational method of influence of the different factors on value of annual heat exchange and prediction of geocryological conditions is proposed. It is shown, that such dangerous phenomena as degradation of permafrost and thermokarst would develop in the first place, which would cause the destruction of natural ecosystems.展开更多

Against this background,we explored the unique ideas, properties, and standards of fracture repositioning in traditional Mongolian medicine.RESULTS: Fracture treatment with osteopathy in traditional Mongolian medicine in China is based on(a) the ideas of natural, sealed, self and dynamic repositioning of fractures;(b) the properties of structural continuity and functional completeness;(c) the standards of "integration of movement and stillness" and "force to force." CONCLUSION: The unique ideas, properties, and standards of fracture repositioning with osteopathy in traditional Mongolian medicine in China have resulted in the widespread use of such techniques and represents the future direction of the development of fracture repositioning.展开更多

METHODS: Sixty patients with AD in Wuhan No.1 Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for Geriatrics from May 2009 to April 2011 were randomly divided into two groups, with 30 in each group. Patients in Bushenhuatanyizhi group (BHY group) took BHY instant granules (6 g, twice per day). Patients in the control group took piracetam (0.8 g, 3 times per day). There were twelve weeks in a course. Changes in the mini-mental state examination (MMSE) score and Activity of Daily Living Scale (ADL) score were analyzed before and after treatment. RESULTS: MMSE scores in the two groups in-creased and ADL scores decreased after treatment, compared with those before treatment (both P< 0.05).The total effective rate was 86.67% in the BHY group (10 very effective, 13 effective, 7 non-responsive). The control group was 57.69% (5 very effective, 16 effective, 9 non-responsive) (P<0.05). Superoxide dismutase levels were increased, lipid peroxide and triglyceride levels decreased after treatment in the BHY group as compared with the control group. CONCLUSION: Reinforcing kidney-essence, removing phlegm, and promoting mental therapy can improve cognitive function and daily life of AD patients. The mechanism of the therapy might be related to improving blood fat, scavenging free radicals, and inhibiting lipid peroxides.展开更多
