只有深刻认识人类及其文明的发展规律和历程才能充分把握社会发展的能动性。全面把握人类的发展及其阶段性主要就是从人类的本质和发展方向把握人类发展的主线,再从人类发展的主线把握文明形态的演化及其阶段性。为了深入把握文明形态... 只有深刻认识人类及其文明的发展规律和历程才能充分把握社会发展的能动性。全面把握人类的发展及其阶段性主要就是从人类的本质和发展方向把握人类发展的主线,再从人类发展的主线把握文明形态的演化及其阶段性。为了深入把握文明形态的演进,必须把物质生产方式作为文明形态的核心和文明演进的主线。历史证明,人类物质生产的发展方向是沿着自然物质的层次由浅入深而展开的:"生命物质—生物文明"—→"化学物质—化学文明"—→"物理物质—物理文明"。每个大的文明阶段又分为初级和高级两个小的阶段:在初级阶段,人类是依靠采集利用该类天然物质来进行生产的;到高级阶段,人类则能够人工生产和利用该类物质。所以"生物文明"、"化学文明"、"物理文明"这三大文明又划分为六个小的阶段或时代:"天然生物时代—人工生物时代"—→"天然化学时代—人工化学时代"—→"天然物理时代—人工物理时代"。这就是人类及其文明的基本演进历程。 展开更多

The adoption by the 18th Congress of the Communist Party of China in November 2012 of a policy on ecological civilization is a landmark event for the nation and the world community. China's vision for building an ecological civilization is comprehensive, multi-sectoral and systemic and is intended to direct and balance progress among ecological, economic, social, cultural and political dimensions of change. Some on-going efforts and potential future activities that meet China's vision of an ecological civilization are described. Establishment of dedicated ecological civilization areas for experimenting with legal, regulatory and administrative incentives that would facilitate the march towards the ideal is encouraged. Chinese biosphere reserves which are designated with the explicit aim of building harmony between humans and nature would be suitable candidates for designing and developing such dedicated ecological civilization areas. 展开更多

Energy plays a vital role in our modern civilization. Energy has needs in every sector all over the world, such as transportation, industrial development, home heating, and electricity production and in our daily life. Till now most of the energy production depends on the crude oil sources but in our planet the crude oil sources are limited. There is a probability that once these energy sources may come to an end, it could cause disastrous collapse of the human civilization considering the future fade of this universe scientist and researchers all over the world had been doing research for new alternate energy sources like solar energy, wind energy, bio-fuel etc. Plastics are produced mainly from crude oil. Incomprehensible amount of plastic bags are consumed every year all over the world and after use the discarded plastics bags become a severe problems to the natural environment. Dumping of these waste plastics create hazardous land fill problems, to avoid this problem transport of plastic waste to landfill cost $2800/ton. A new simple and cost effective technology has been developed for the conversion of the waste plastics into low sulfur diesel fuel. This developed technology can convert most types of waste plastic into low sulfur diesel fuel. 展开更多

Degradable, absorbable or resorbable——what is the best grammatical modifier for an implant that is eventually absorbed by the body?

The adoption of grammatical modifier for im- plants or other kinds of biomaterials eventually absorbed by the body has been a long-standing confusing issue, and there are diverse terms in the large fields of research, which not only causes the difficulties when searching on the Internet, but also blurs the meaning and boundaries for researchers. Prior unification attempts at laws/standards set the basis for such research fields towards researching, labeling, marketing and instructions for use. Considering this, the typical gram- matical modifiers "biodegradable", "resorbable" "absorbable", along with their noun forms used in the decades of scien- tific research have been reviewed and explained, interdiscipli- nary in chemistry, ecology, materials science, biology, micro- biology, medicine, and based on usage customs, laws, stan- dards and markets. The term "biodegradable" has been not only used in biomaterials but also in ecology waste manage- ment, biomedicine and even natural environment. Mean- while, the term "resorbable" has long been used in biological reaction (osteoclast driven bone resorption), but is inappro- priate for implants that do not carry the potential to grow back into their original form. The term "absorbable" focuses more on the host metabolism to the foreign biodegradation products of the implanted material/device compared with the term "degradable/biodegradable". Meanwhile the coherence and normalization of the term "absorbable" carried by its own in laws and standards contributes as well. In general, the au- thors consider the term "absorbable" to be the best grammat- ical modifier with respect to other adjectives which share the same inherence.
