[Objective]The aim of this study was to provide a theoretical basis for the large-scale breeding of Exopalaemon carinicauda. [Method]Effects of salinity fluctuation (S0,S3,S6 and S9 represented salinity fluctuations of 0,3,6 and 9 respectivley) and dietary traditional Chinese herbal medicines (0,1%,2% and 4% respectively) on survival,growth and immunity of E.carinicauda were studied,and its experiment lasted for 60 d. [Result]The results showed that specific growth rate,feed conversion efficiency and superoxide dismutase activity of E.carinicauda in the treatment group with 1% dietary traditional Chinese herbal medicine and S6 salinity fluctuation were higher than those in other treatments,which was significantly higher than the treatment groups with S0,S3 and S9 salinity fluctuation at the same adding level of 1% dietary traditional Chinese herbal medicine. The regression analysis indicated that at S0,S3 and S6 salinity fluctuation,the optimal adding level of dietary traditional Chinese herbal medicines in feeds decreased with the increase of salinity fluctuation,accounting for 2.74%,1.77% and 0.51% respectively. At four adding levels of dietary traditional Chinese herbal medicines,the optimal salinity fluctuation of E.carinicauda also decreased with the increase of dietary traditional Chinese herbal medicines in feeds,accounting for 5.26,4.95,3.54 and 1.97 respectively. [Conclusion]Salinity,dietary traditional Chinese herbal medicines and their interactions have a significant effect on survival,growth and immunity of E.carinicauda,which calls for attentions in the breeding. 展开更多

MethodsHPLC-DAD method was used to determine the constituents in preparations. Diamonsil? C_(18) (200mm X 4.6 mm, 5 μm) was used as analytical column, and acetonitrile/KH_2PO_4 was used as mobilephase with gradient elu-tion. The column temperature was at 24 ℃. The HPLC profile of chemicalconstituents of control sample and preparations were analyzed using similarity software. Results Thefingerprints of different preparations from different companies were slightly different because ofthe different preparing procedures. Mean while, the fingerprints of different batches of the samepreparation from the same company were similar to each other and the technology of each preparationwas stable. Conclusion This method is accurate, reproducible , simple, and can be used as ananalytical method for the routine quality control of Ginkgo biloba preparations. 展开更多

Control Effect of Four Kinds of Agents for Anthracnose in Autumn Greenhouse Cowpea

In order to mitigate the occurrence and damage of cowpea anthracnose and reduce the chemical pesticide consumption, residue and environmental pollution, the methods of forecasting, randomized block design and statistical analysis were conducted to study the control effect of biopesticide chitosan, biochemical compound Prochloraz-Chitosan and chemical pesticides difenoconazole and thifluzamide by field efficacy trials. The results showed that under serious occurrence of anthracnose in autumn greenhouse cowpea, when the 2% chJtosan AS (2 250 g/hm^2), 46% Prochloraz-Chitosan EW (450 g/hm^2), 10% difenoconazole WG (900 g/hm^2, CK) or 24% thifluzamide SC (360 ml/hm^2) were applied three times with an interval of 5-8 d, the control efficiency on day 7, 14 and 20 reached 83%, 78% and 73%, respectively. No significant difference was found in control efficiency among the four kinds of agents. These four kinds of agents, especially chitosan and Prochloraz-Chitosan, could be used as ideal agents for controlling anthracnose, as well as for modern agricultural demonstration zones, pollution-free agricultural products, green agricultural products and organic agricultural products,thereby meeting the develop- ment needs of 'modern agriculture, green agriculture, organic agriculture and ecological agriculture. 展开更多

HPLC Determination of Captopril in Human Plasma with Pre-column Derivation and Solid-phase Extraction and Studies on Its Pharmacokinetic and Relative Bioavailability

A new pre-column derivation HPLC method with solid-phase extraction to determine captopril in human plasma was established. Derivation products were extracted by a solid-phase extraction method after the reagent, p-a-dibromoacetophenone(p-BPB), was added in the plasma samples. The samples were analyzed in a VP-ODS column with UV-detector. The calibration curve of captopril was linear within the range of 5~1000 ngmL-1 with r=0.9987, the recovery of this method was 98.652.04%, within day and between day RSD were no more than 3.4% and 8.4% respectively. To study the pharmacokinetics and the relative bioavailability of captopril tablets, two formulations of captopril tablets were given to 18 healthy male volunteers according to a randomized 2-way cross-over design with a 1-week washout period. The respective AUC0~6 , Cmax and Tmax values of the two formulations were 424.5125.7 and 439.4113.3 mghL-1; 505.9244.6 and 504.8172.2 mgL-1; 0.6620.181 and 0.5280.176 h. Results from statistics analysis showed that there were no significant difference between the AUC0~6 , Cmax and Tmax values of the two formulations, The relative bioavailability of tablets I with respect to II was 96.114.6% from AUC0~6 measurement. AIM: To observe the effect of Chinese traditional herbal decoction Weikang-ning (WKN) on cell growth and expression of VEGF and its receptors KDR and Flt-1 in gastric cancer cell line MGC-803. METHODS: A total of 120 male Wistar rats were divided into control group, high dose, medium dose and low dose groups fed with natural saline, 20, 10, and 5 g/kg of WKN, respectively. The experimental animals were finally killed for the preparation of drug-containing serum. The gastric cancer cell MGC-803 was cultured with the drug-containing serum drawn from the rats in different groups. We observed the growth condition of the cancer cells with light microscope and flow cytometer. The expression of mRNA of VEGF and its receptors KDR and Flt-1 was detected with RT-PCR. RESULTS: The proportion of cells in G0-G1 phase was (65.40±0.41)%, (56.92±0.62)%, (55.89±0.69)% in high, medium and low dose groups respectively vs(41.35±0.55)% in control group (P<0.01), while the cells in G2-S and S phases were (11.62±0.62)% and (22.99±0.69)%, (17.08±0.80)% and (26.00±0.71)%, (19.37±0.57)% and (24.74±0.64)% in high, medium and low dose groups, respectively, vs(23.65±0.56)% and (35.00±0.60)% in control group (P<0.01). The expression of mRNA of VEGF and its receptors was significantly decreased, the area of electrophoresis bands (AREA), the absorptivity of mean optical density (A) and the product of AREA and A were significantly lower in WKN-administered groups than that in control group(P<0.01). CONCLUSION: The decoction of WKN suppresses the growth of gastric cancer cell MGC-803 and decreases the expression of mRNA of both VEGF and its receptors KDR and Flt-1. 展开更多

It is generally accepted that eggs besides being a source of everyday diet, can also be used as raw material for special food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic production. The biological activity of the majority of substances presented in egg matter is related to their anti-microbial and anti-cancer properties and their immunogenic features as well. Due to the use of new generation of feed additives and techniques of immunisation of hens, the chemical composition and biological features of eggs may be modified and enriched with desired components, like n-3 fatty acids (alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) phospholipids), vitamins, microelements. Egg material may also be used for the production of new biopreparations for the prophylaxis of various civilisation diseases, such as heart and cardiovascular diseases, cancers, neurogenerative disorders, metabolic bone diseases etc.. New progress in egg science allowed to discover new bioactive substances, like monomeric and dimeric cystatin and yolkin. It is necessary to develop efficient methods of isolation of biologically active substances contained in eggs, which would make it possible to produce new generation of diet supplements and biomedical products. It seems that new generation of eggs could be the best source for production of natural, high value nutraceutical supplements of diet, and also biomedical and biocosmetic preparations. 展开更多

Aqueous extracts from the native Chilean Quillaja saponaria tree are used orally and topically to treat lung inflammatory problems and toothache. This study aimed to corroborate their presumed anti-inflammatory activity, identify their active ingredients and validate their use. The topical anti-inflammatory activity of a commercial partially purified Quillaja saponin aqueous extract (Ultra Dry 100Q, UD), the crude acid hydrolysate (H-100Q) of this material, its two most abundant sapogenins QA (quillaic acid) and PA (phytolaccagenic acid), and two formulations containing QA were subjected to topical assays for the inhibition ofmurine ear inflammation elicited by AA (arachidonic acid) or TPA (phorbol ester). The dose-dependent anti-inflammatory activity of QA was confirmed in both AA (maximal effect 92.1%) and TPA (maximal effect 62.2%) assays, and PA showed significant anti-inflammatory activity against AA (46.5%). Two dermo pharmaceutical formulations containing 8% w/v QA as the active ingredient--a cream and a gel--also exhibited significant anti-inflammatory effects in the TPA (50.8%) and AA (39.5%) assays. 展开更多

Antiangiogenic agents combined with chemotherapy in non-small cell lung cancer

As a targeted therapy, antiangiogenic treatment has been increasingly studied for advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) and has proven effective for the treatment of advanced NSCLC. Bevacizumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting angiogenesis, is the only antiangiogenic agent approved for use in combination with first-line chemotherapy for non-squamous NSCLC. Small-molecule inhibitors targeting the tyrosine kinase receptor have also shown promise when combined with standard chemotherapeutic agents in patients with advanced NSCLC. However, unlike bevacizumab, not all other antiangiogenic agents show significant benefits when combined with chemotherapy. As for the failures of most other combinations, the combination schedule may be an important reason that has so far been overlooked in clinical trials. This article reviews the combination of angiogenic agents with chemotherapy in the treatment of NSCLC. 展开更多
