The energy and buffer constraints are general in DTNs composed of the mobile phones or Pads. This paper proposes a novel opportunistic routing protocol, denoted by Large Opporturioty (LAOP), for the energy and buffer constrained DTNs. The objective of LAOP is to reach many receivers of a message with a small number of transmissions. By LAOP, the sender floods a message when the number of its neighbors is not less than a threshold. We compare the delivery performance of LAOP with other four widely used Delay or Disruption Tolerant Network (DTN) routing protocols, Direct Delivery, Epidemic routing, SprayAndWait and PRoPHET and demonstrate that LAOP can improve the delivery performance and decrease the delivery latency simultaneously.展开更多

Since the dialogue is one of the basic ways to shape characters in literary works, the analysis of dialogues, especially that of those contradictory dialogues helps better analyze the novel itself. This paper analyzes different conversational implicatures in the typical dialogues in Sense and Sensibility, in order to help us to understand character differences, and to further understand the novel’ s theme. Through the analysis, this paper finds that there exist many indirect expressions in the dialogues in Sense and Sensibility, which reflect that characters violate the four maxims of Cooperative Principle in order to implicitly express their true thoughts and avoid such unpleasant communicational effects as embarrassment and conflict.展开更多

The two different arts of money-making are based on two very different psychological attitudes: in the first case, desire is channeled, managed, and organized by practical wisdom with a view to a further end; in the second case, desire is an end unto itself, insatiable, boundless and contrary to the commands of practical wisdom. Only in the first case there is a "true wealth", that is a wealth oriented toward a good life that constitutes the end (telos) and the limit (peras) of the wealth itself. The conclusion is that, for the Stagirite, wealth is not an evil, nor, in itself, is the pursuit of wealth, that is, the art of money-making, because if it is rightly organized and oriented in function of the end, it constitutes the conditio sine qua non of a life that is good, ordered and happy for the individual and for the city展开更多

Interactions in the class play an important role. Thus, teachers exploit a number of opportunities to give chance to participants for communication. Writing drama and enacting it can be a good space for generating discussion to develop language skills. Analysis of language interaction in drama focuses on negotiations of language. Co-generative dialogues help participants to focus on the social aspects of life. The interaction and communication to environment play a vital role as it conveys a positive message through performance and fulfills the socio effective requirement. As English Language teaching teachers, we always look for innovative and motivational ideas for language learning and thus, “Drama for language learning through co-generative dialogues” helped me to expand the repertoire of dynamics in the classroom. Drama included co-generative dialogues stage production and performance. It is a powerful and innovative medium for exploring and learning language. It communicated response, moods, and information to the audience. The research explored the effect of drama for language learning through co-generative dialogues, to build cultural awareness, create bondage, meet people, and solve problems.展开更多
文摘Non-English majors' evaluation on teachers is a vital way to get feedback of English language classroom teaching and learning. This paper reports on a study which used a discourse-analytic approach to look into the existing problems in English classroom teaching at undergraduates' level. The ways of searching solutions for the problems are also discussed.
