Early reports, suggested that auxin might affect plant stress response. We have identified a number of auxin responsive genes in Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) Heynh. by using cDNA an-ay and found that stress responsive genes, such as,Arabidopsis homolog of MEK kinase 1 (ATMEKK1), ReL/SpoT homolog 3 ( At-RSH3), Catalase 1 ( Cat1) and Ferritin 1 (Fer1), were down-regulated by auxin, indicating that auxin regulates ale expression of stress responsive genes. We also demonstrated that nitrilase genes, nitrilase I ( NIT]) and nitrilase 2 (NIT2) involving in indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) biosynthesis, were induced by salinity stress, suggesting that the level of IAA might increase in response to salinity stress. To dissect the signal pathway involved in the interaction, two auxin insensitive mutants, auxin resistant 2 (axr2) and auxin resistant 1-3 (axrl-3) were used. Stress responsive genes were induced by salt stress in wild type and axr2, but not in axr1-3. The result suggests that die interaction between auxin and stress responses may be linked in the ubiquitin pathway.展开更多

Vill. and explore the feasibility of mass production of its multiple shoots by bioreactor culture. [Method] The effects of cytokinin or cytokinin/auxin mixture solution at different concentrations on its shoot growth and propagation by nodal segment culture were tested. In order to mass-proliferate its shoots, multiple shoots were suspension-cultured on Murashige and Skoog (MS) liquid medium in the bioreactor. [Results] Thidiazuron (TDZ) showed the highest cytokinin-like activity and the number of its shoots at the TDZ concentration of 0.1 mg/L was the maximum up to 21.5 shoots per explant, without the TDZ effect on shoot elongation, but zeatin signifcantly promoted the shoot elongation and each explant grew 6.8 relatively long shoots at 5.0 mg/L of zeatin. There was no signifcant effect on shoot propagation on induction medium supplemented with auxin. By inoculating 10 g/L (260 shoots) of multiple shoots into 3 L airlift bioreactor containing 2 L MS liquid medium supplemented with 0.1 mg/L TDZ for solution culture, 6 100 multiple shoots with a fresh weight of 183.13 g were harvested. After explant regeneration was conducted in MS solid medium, the regenerated plants were transplanted into flowerpot and the morphologically normal and healthy plants were obtained. [Conclusion] The development of bioreactor technology was conducive to the high efficiency propagation of L. pumila shoot.展开更多

Low-molecular-weight gelatin hydrolysate (LMW-GH) of 700-- 1700 Da was produced using an ultrafiltration membrane bioreaetor system. Chemiluminescence analysis revealed that LMW-GH scavenges high free radicals in a concentration-dependent manner; IC50 value for superoxide and hydroxyl radicals was 442 and 285 μgmL-1, respectively. LMW-GH exhibited excellent inhibitory characteristics against melanin synthesis and tyrosinase activity in B16 cells. Furthermore, LMW-GH notably increased in- traeellular glutathione (GSH), which in turn suppressed melanogenesis. LMW-GH performs antioxidation activity, holding the potential of being used as a valuable ingredient in function foods, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals or nutriceuticals.展开更多

Such advanced technology and innovation that we are facing is necessary to adopt in Mongolia. In this study, the myostatin gene (MSTN) was investigated as a candidate gene for meat animal in Mongolian breeds of cattle. The conventional phenol-chloroform method and FavorPrepTM tissue DNA extraction kit were used for DNA isolation, and the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and sequencing analysis were used for further study. The nucleotide sequences of MSTN gene from Selenge, Kazakh white head breeds and Mongolian cattle were sequenced and reported on the DDBJ/EMBL/GenBank database (LC142726, LC146648, LC146649), and Selenge breed showed the result of single nucleotide mutation in MSTN gene.展开更多
