By measuring wetland plants chlorophyll content,malondialdehyde(MDA) content and superoxide dismutase(SOD) enzyme activity,the changes of wetland plant physiological characeristics under different power strength were studied,and the mechanism of electric field on plant physiological characteristics was analyzed to provide a theoretical basis for the pollutant removal ability strengthening of artificial wetland under electricfield.The results showed that compared with the control plants,low-intensity-voltage(1 V and 3 V) had no significant effect on the normal physiological and biochemical indexes of the plants,and the growth trend was better than the control group;with the voltage increasing,plant chlorophyll content,MDA content and SOD activity were greatly affected,indicating that plants were under strong oxidative stress,and the growth was damaged.Therefore,a suitable electric field could enhance the sewage treatment effect of constructed wetland. 展开更多

However, little attention has been paid to this issue, and it retrains one of the rmin obsta-cles for the application of ABE. Most of existing ABE schemes support attribute revocation work under indirect revocation model such that all the users' private keys will be affected when the revo-cation events occur. Though some ABE schemes have realized revocation under direct revocation model such that the revocation list is embedded in the ciphertext and none of the users' private keys will be affected by revocation, they mostly focused on the user revocation that revokes the user's whole attributes, or they can only be proven to be selectively secure. In this paper, we first define a model of adaptively secure ABE supporting the at- tribute revocation under direct revocation model. Then we propose a Key-Policy ABE (KP-ABE) scheme and a Ciphertext-Policy ABE (CP-ABE) scheme on composite order bilinear groups. Finally, we prove our schemes to be adaptively secure by employing the methodology of dual system eno cryption. 展开更多

Developing efficient water oxidation catalysts(WOCs)with earth‐abundant elements still remains a challenging task for artificial photosynthesis.Iron‐based WOC is a promising candidate because it is economically cheap,little toxic and environmentally friendly.In this study,we found that the catalytic water oxidation activity on amorphous iron‐based oxide/hydroxide(FeOx)can be decreased by an order of magnitude after the dehydration process at room temperature.Thermogravimetric analysis,XRD and Raman results indicated that the dehydration process of FeOx at room temperature causes the almost completely loss of water molecule with no bulk structural changes.Based on this finding,we prepared hydrated ultrasmall(ca.2.2 nm)FeOx nanoparticles of amorphous feature,which turns out to be extremely active as WOC with turnover frequency(TOF)up to 9.3 s^-1 in the photocatalytic Ru(bpy)3^2+‐Na2S2O8 system.Our findings suggest that future design of active iron‐based oxides as WOCs requires the consideration of their hydration status. 展开更多

A comprehensive understanding of the role of the electrocatalyst in photoelectrochemical(PEC)water splitting is central to improving its performance.Herein,taking the Si-based photoanodes(n^(+)p-Si/SiO_(x)/Fe/FeOx/MOOH,M=Fe,Co,Ni)as a model system,we investigate the effect of the transition-metal electrocatalysts on the oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Among the photoanodes with the three different electrocatalysts,the best OER activity,with a low-onset potential of∼1.01 VRHE,a high photocurrent density of 24.10 mA cm^(-2)at 1.23 VRHE,and a remarkable saturation photocurrent density of 38.82 mA cm^(-2),was obtained with the NiOOH overlayer under AM 1.5G simulated sunlight(100 mW cm^(-2))in 1 M KOH electrolyte.The optimal interfacial engineering for electrocatalysts plays a key role for achieving high performance because it promotes interfacial charge transport,provides a larger number of surface active sites,and results in higher OER activity,compared to other electrocatalysts.This study provides insights into how electrocatalysts function in water-splitting devices to guide future studies of solar energy conversion. 展开更多

Molecular catalysts for H2-evolution are of interest for their integration into light-harvesting complexes for photocatalytic water splitting.Here,we report the meso-tetra(4-carboxyphenyl)porphine[(TCPP)Pt^(Ⅱ)]complex as a molecular H2-evolving photocatalyst using chloranilic acid(CA)as a sacrificial electron donor,the choice of which is critical to the stability of the photocatalyst.When triethanolamine was used,[(TCPP)Pt^(Ⅱ)]decomposed to form Pt nanoparticles.Density functional theory calculations together with evidence from electrochemical and spectroscopic analyses suggested that the catalysis was possibly initiated by a proton-coupled electron transfer(PCET)to form[(TCPP)Pt^(Ⅰ)]-N-H,followed by another electron injection and protonation to form a[(TCPP)Pt^(Ⅱ)-hydride]-N-H intermediate that can release H2.As the whole catalytic cycle involves the injection of multiple electrons,a light-harvesting network should be helpful by providing multiple photo-induced electrons.Thus,we integrated this molecular catalyst into a light-harvesting metal-organic framework to boost its activity by~830 times.This work presents a mechanistic study of the photocatalytic H2 evolution and energy transfer and highlights the importance of a light-harvesting network for multiple electron injections. 展开更多

Water oxidation is the bottleneck of artificial photosynthesis.Since the first ruthenium-based molecular water oxidation catalyst,the blue dimer,was reported by Meyer’ s group in 1982,catalysts based on transition metals have been widely employed to explore the mechanism of water oxidation.Because the oxidation of water requires harsh oxidative conditions,the stability of transition complexes under the relevant catalytic conditions has always been a challenge.In this work,we report the redox properties of a CuⅢ complex(TAML-CuⅢ] with a redox-active macrocyclic ligand(TAML) and its reactivity toward catalytic water oxidation.TAML-CuⅢ displayed a completely different electrochemical behavior from that of the TAML-CoⅢ complex previously reported by our group.TAML-CuⅢ can only be oxidized by one-electron oxidation of the ligand to form TAML·+-CuⅢand cannot achieve water activation through the ligand-centered proton-coupled electron transfer that takes place in the case of TAML-CoⅢ.The generated TAML·+-CuⅢ intermediate can undergo further oxidation and ligand hydrolysis with the assistance of borate anions,triggering the formation of a heterogeneous B/CuOx nanocatalyst Therefore,the choice of the buffer solution has a significant influence on the electrochemical behavior and stability of molecular water oxidation catalysts. 展开更多

The purpose of this study was to highlight the interacti... On the Kpinnou ranch in Benin, it was observed that the Girolando dairy cattle which graze Panieum maximum var. CI are more susceptible to infestation of ticks. The purpose of this study was to highlight the interactions between ticks and their bovine hosts and two types of artificial grazing pastures. Nineteen young Girolando dairy cattle were used during the big rainy season (March-June) 2009. All present ticks on the animals have been counted according to the body region. The bovine have been divided into two relatively homogeneous groups often and nine animals. The group I of 10 animals had been grazed on Panicum maximum whereas the group 2 of 9 animals had been grazed on Panicum maximum var. C 1. During the two months of grazing, a weekly monitoring of the evolution of the load in ticks has been achieved. Four genera of ticks were identified on the bovine Girolandos (Amblyomma, Hyalomma, Rhipicephalus and Boophilus). The Boophilus genus is the most abundant (P 〈 0.05). The animals having grazed Panicum maximum var. C I are more infested than those that have been grazed Panicum maximum. A variation of the rate of infestation of the animals has been observed in relation to the different body areas. The colour of the coat also has an effect on the load in tick of the bovine. The bovine of dark coat are in general more infested (P 〈 0.05) than those of clear colour. 展开更多

It is of great significance to enhance collaborative community policing for crime prevention and better community-police relationships. Understanding the relational structure of collaborative community policing is necessary to pinpoint the pattern of interactions among key actors involved in community policing and improve the effectiveness of network governance. Based on 234 surveys of citizens of S Community in Beijing from April 2017 to May 2017, this paper empirically examines the characteristics of formal network and informal network of citizen participation in the collaborative community policing. Beijing is widely known for its active involvement of neighborhood volunteers in different types of community policing. We focused on four different types of interpersonal work relationships in this study: workflow, problem solving, mentoring and friendship, among resident committees, neighborhood administrative offices, media, police station, business security personnel, neighborhood volunteers, and security activists. The nature of relationships between individuals in networks can be treated as from instrumental ties to expressive ties. Expressive ties cover relationships that involve the exchange of friendship, trust, and socio-emotional support. We extended this intra-organizational insight into a community policing inter-organizational context. The collaborative network showed the trend of the distributed network. The clustering analysis showed that in the workflow network, we should make thll use of the close interaction between the citizens and activists in the community. Meanwhile, in the problem-solving network, mentoring network and friendship network, interactions between citizens and neighborhood committee are weak. 展开更多

In order to constrain reaction solution in a solid state structure and increase the reaction efficiency in artificial photosynthesis reactions, we presented two methods to fabricate the chitosan scaffold with interconnected micro channels as construction structure of a novel artificial photosynthesis device. We built 3D chitosan structure with a home-made heterogeneous 3D rapid prototyping machine, and we used lyophilization method to generate the micron-scale pores inside the chitosan scaffold. Chitosan in acetic acid could achieve different viscosities. We found a proper chitosan recipe to construct 3D scaffold by our own rapid prototyping machine. Optional support material sodium bicarbonate was used in printing 3D scaffold for holding the printed structures, and the results images indicate that this method can make the scaffold stronger and more stable. 展开更多

Shopping malls are accessed by people from all walks of life and, therefore, provision of adequate fire safety measures is equally important. In Dares Salaam, Tanzania, at large construction, use of shopping malls is a relatively new experience, and risks associated with use of shopping malls, such as fire outbreak, are not evident to frequent users. The main purpose of the study is to assess awareness of fire safety measures for users and staff of two shopping malls located in Dares Salaam. The research adopted a case study strategy, and 100 respondents were involved in the study. Both random and purposive sampling methods were used to select respondents for the study. Multiple sources of evidence were used in data collection, namely literature review, observations, questionnaires and interviews. Findings indicate that both shopping malls have in place fairly fire prevention measures with varying degrees. Majority of staff and users indicated that they know fire safety measures but their poor knowledge was reflected in assessing them on diferent equipment and installations, such as foam, hose reel, sprinklers and drenchers. The paper concludes that awarenes of fire safety measure of users and staff of the two shopping malls is relatively low. It is, therefore, recommended that provision of fire safety training and instructions, such as posters for users and seminars for staff of shopping malls, shall be a main focus of shopping malls owners and responsible authorities. 展开更多

A dynamic cooperation model of multi-agent is established by combining reinforcement learning with distributed artificial intelligence(DAI),in which the concept of individual optimization loses its meaning because of the dependence of repayment on each agent itself and the choice of other agents.Utilizing the idea of DAI,the intellectual unit of each robot and the change of task and environment,each agent can make decisions independently and finish various complicated tasks by communication and reciprocation between each other.The method is superior to other reinforcement learning methods commonly used in the multi-agent system.It can improve the convergence velocity of reinforcement learning,decrease requirements of computer memory,and enhance the capability of computing and logical ratiocinating for agent.The result of a simulated robot soccer match proves that the proposed cooperative strategy is valid. 展开更多

The paper is devoted to formulations of decay and mapped elastodynamic infinite elements, based on modified Bessel shape functions. These elements are appropriate for Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI) problems, solved in time or frequency domain and can be treated as a new form of the recently proposed Elastodynamic Infinite Elements with United Shape Functions (EIEUSF) infinite elements. The formulation of 2D Horizontal type Infinite Elements (HIE) is demonstrated here, but by similar techniques 2D Vertical (VIE) and 2D Comer (CIE) Infinite Elements can also be formulated. Using elastodynamic infinite elements is the easier and appropriate way to achieve an adequate simulation including basic aspects of Soil-Structure Interaction. Continuity along the artificial boundary (the line between finite and infinite elements) is discussed as well and the application of the proposed elastodynamic infinite elements in the Finite Element Method (FEM) is explained in brief. Finally, a numerical example shows the computational efficiency of the proposed infinite elements. 展开更多

ALK (anaplastic largecell kinase) gene rearrangements are identified and targeted resulting in promising response rates for NSCLC in early studies. Ceritinib is a second-generation ALK inhibitor that has demonstrated activity in crizotinib (the first-generation ALK inhibitor)-resistant patients. In this paper, the synthesis, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, therapeutic trials, adverse events and drug-drug interactions are briefly overviewed in order to make more scholars, medical workers and patients have a more clear and comprehensive recognition on this drug. 展开更多

Silicon-based electrodes have attracted great attention in the artificial photosynthetic systems that mimic natural photosynthesis and directly convert the solar energy into chemical energy. Despite significant efforts to date,catalytic stability of the silicon photoelectrodes is limited by their poor electrochemical stability. The formation of passivation or protective layers provides a feasible strategy to improve the photocatalytic stability of silicon photoelectrodes. Many candidates including metals, metal oxides, metal silicides and polymers have been explored as the protection layers for silicon photoelectrodes. The present review gives a concise overview of the protected silicon photoanodes for water oxidation with a focus on the relationship between the structural architecture of silicon photoanodes and their photocatalytic activity and stability. 展开更多

Artificial intelligence(AI) is intrinsically data-driven.It calls for the application of statistical concepts through human-machine collaboration during the generation of data,the development of algorithms,and the evaluation of results.This paper discusses how such human-machine collaboration can be approached through the statistical concepts of population,question of interest,representativeness of training data,and scrutiny of results(PQRS).The PQRS workflow provides a conceptual framework for integrating statistical ideas with human input into AI products and researches.These ideas include experimental design principles of randomization and local control as well as the principle of stability to gain reproducibility and interpretability of algorithms and data results.We discuss the use of these principles in the contexts of self-driving cars,automated medical diagnoses,and examples from the authors' collaborative research. 展开更多

Enzymes are biomacromolecules responsible for the abundant chemical biotransformations that sustain life. Recently, biochemists have discovered that multiple conformations and numerous parallel paths are involved during the processes catalyzed by enzymes. It is plausible that the entire macromolecular scaffold is involved in catalysis via cooperative motions that result in incredible catalytic efficiency. Moreover, some enzymes can very strongly bind the transition state with an association constant of up to 1024 M-1, suggesting that covalent bond formation is a possible process during the conversion of the transition state in enzyme catalysis, in addition to the concatenation of noncovalent interactions. Supramolecular chemistry provides fundamental knowledge about the relationships between the dynamic structures and functions of organized molecules. By tak-ing advantage of supramolecular concepts, numerous supramolecular enzyme mimics with complex and hierarchical structures have been designed and investigated. Through the study of supramolecular enzyme models, a great deal of information to aid our understanding of the mechanism of catalysis by natural enzymes has been acquired. With the development of supramolec-ular artificial enzymes, it is possible to replicate the features of natural enzymes with regards to their constitutional complexity and cooperative motions, and eventually decipher the conformation-based catalytic mystery of natural enzymes. 展开更多
