Methods The solubility of PGE1 under different pH conditions was determined. Then, the drug solubility in different concentrations of HP-β-CD acidic or pH neutral solutions was measured, respectively. Finally, a theoretical solubility equation for the drug as a function of HP-β-CD concentration and media pH was deduced and confirmed in experiment. Results PGEs was solubilized by HP-β-CD or by increasing media pH. The drug solubility as a function of HP-β-CD concentration was found to follow the AL-type complexation model in acidic or neutral pH media, suggesting that both the ionized and neutral drugs form 1:1 molecular ratio complexes. Conclusions The solubility of PGE1 may be improved by increasing media pH or by using HP-β-CD as a solubilizer. HP-β-CD and media pH can produce combined effect on the solubility of PGE1. The deduced equation for the drug solubility in this study effectively characterizes the roles of HP-β-CD and media pH in determining total solubility of the drug.展开更多

Many properties including binding energy, optimum geometry structures and population analysis were calculated. It was shown that there was little change on the coronary structure before and after C4-AIa combination with small I A or |I A cations, and the electrons moved from C4-AIa to alkaline-earth cations or alkali cations during this process. Combination with C4-Ala, Be2~ was more predominant than Mg2~ and Ca2~ remarkably, but Li~ was not more predominant than Na+ and K+. The distances between alkaline-earth cations and the center of C4-Ala were 0.000 nm, 0.150 nm and 0.225 nm, respectively, when the binding energy at minimum, and that for alkali cations were 0.225 nm, 0.250 nm and 0.300 nm.展开更多

Eighteen stable structures for the luteolin-guanine complexes have been found respectively. The results indicate that the complexes are mainly stabilized by the hydrogen bonding interactions. Meanwhile, both the number and strength of hydrogen bond play important roles in determining the stability of the complexes which can form two or more hydrogen bonds. Theories of atoms in molecules and natural bond orbital have also been utilized to investigate the hydrogen bonds involved in all the systems. The interaction energies of all the complexes which were corrected by basis set superposition error are 6.04-56.94 kJ/mol. The calculation results indicate that there are strong hydrogen bonding interactions in the luteolin-guanine complexes. We compared the interaction between luteolin and four bases of DNA, and found luteolin-thymine was the strongest and luteolin-adenine was the weakest. The interaction between luteolin and DNA bases are all stronger than luteolin-water.展开更多

This method was developed through comprehensive analysis of the uncoupled Helmholtz equation obtained by the decomposition of elastic equations and the structure of the solution of a finite cylindrical shell analyzed by thin shell theory. The proposed method is theoretically suitable for arbitrary thickness of the shell and any frequency. Also, the results obtained through the method can be used to determine the range of application of the thin shell theory. Furthermore, the proposed method can deal with the problems limited by the thin shell theory. Additionally, the method can be suitable for several types of complex cylindrical shell such as the ring-stiffened cylindrical shell, damped cylindrical shell, and double cylindrical shell.展开更多

For Mach interactions, an analytical method known as spa- tial-dimension reduction, which transforms the problem of 3D steady shock/shock interaction into a two-dimensional (2D) pseudo-steady problem on cross sections, is used to obtain the solutions in the vicinity of the Mach stem. The theoretical solu- tions include the pressure, temperature, density, Mach number behind the Mach stem, and total pressure recovery coefficient. Numerical simulations are performed to validate the theoretical results. Here, the NND scheme is employed by solving 3D in- viscid Euler equations, and good agreements are obtained. The asymmetry of the flow characteristics induced by the wedge angle and sweep angle are thoroughly discussed.展开更多

In particular, we discuss an application of the 5 expansion method (created to deal with problems in Quantum Field Theory) which will enable both the linearization and perturbation expansion of such equations. Such a method allows for one to quickly obtain the order zero perturbation theory in terms of certain special functions which are governed by linear equations. Higher order perturbation theories can then be obtained in terms of such special functions. One benefit to such a method is that it may be applied even to models without small physical parameters, as the perturbation is given in terms of the degree of nonlinearity, rather than any physical parameter. As an application, we discuss a method of linearizing the six Painlev~ equations by an application of the method.
