Our results showed that HCl(g), SO2(g) and (P2O5)2(g) were released from the sewage sludge co-incineration. Cl was found to weaken adsorption of Cu by Al2O3, CaO and Fe2O3, while S de- layed reactions of Fe2O3 and Al2O3 with Cu, with P having no effect on reactions between the minerals and Cu. Among the coupled systems ofCl, S and P, the co-existences of Cl and S, and Cl, S and P were determined to inhibit Cu volatilization, and the co-existence of Cl and P had an enhancing effect Cu migration was affected only by S in the S and P system. With the SiO2, CaO and Al2O3 system, both Cl alone and Cl and P led to failed reactions be- tween the minerals and Cu. In the systems of S, S and Cl, S and P, and S, Cl and P, the migration behavior of Cu was mainly affected by S at low temperatures and by Cl at high temperatures, whereas P had no effect on Cu mi- gration during the entire nrocess.展开更多

The area ratios, viz. AAluminiurn:A∝ brass, studied were 0.125, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 4 and 8. The galvanic corrosion behaviour of the metals was studied in terms of the relative increase in the corrosion rate of aluminium due to galvanic coupling with oc brass, the relative decrease in the corrosion rate of ∝ brass due to galvanic coupling with aluminium, and the susceptibility of aluminium to pitting owing to galvanic coupling with ∝ brass. The galvanic potential and galvanic current of the system were monitored. Pits of different dimensions ranging from mild etchings to perforations were experienced on the borders arid the surfaces of the interface of aluminium in contact with ∝ brass. The corrosion products resulting from galvanic corrosion were analysed using XRD and the pitting on aluminium as a result of galvanic corrosion was highlighted in terms of pit depth, size and density of pit, using a high resolution microscope. The most favourable area ratio of aluminium - ∝ brass in marine atmosphere in terms of gravimetric corrosion rate is 8:1 and the most unfavourable area ratio of aluminium - ∝ brass is 1:4.展开更多

When ADVN releases free radical during the decomposition process, it can accompany abundant heat and huge pressure to increase the possibility of thermal runaway and hazard, causing unacceptable thermal explosion or fire accidents. To develop an inherently safer process for ADVN, the thermal stability parameters of ADVN were obtained to investigate thermal decomposition characteristics using a DSC (differential scanning calorimetry) and TG (thermogravimetry). We used various kinetic models to completely depict the kinetic behavior and determine the thermal safety parameters for ADVN. The green thermal analysis approach could be used to substitute for complicated procedures and large-scale experiments of traditional thermal analysis methods, avoiding environmental pollution and energy depletion.展开更多
