The morphology and crystallization behavior of the alloy material were investigated by means of SEM, POM and DSC. The SEM study of the alloy samples revealed that PPS and PETG comprised an incompatible system and the interface structure of two phases could be observed distinctly when the composition of the binary alloy was being changed. The POM results had revealed that incorporation of PETG into PPS could lead to formation of larger spherulite crystals in the course of PPS crystallization, but small and grainy spherulite crystals appeared with further increase in the PETG concentration. The DSC analyses revealed that addition of PETG to the alloy composition could shift the PPS crystallization temperature towards the high-temperature region.展开更多

The system concludes gasification scrubbing system the opposed multi-burner gasifier (OMB) methanol production and purification shift system. The distributions of ammonia con- centration in streams were obtained. The study demonstrates that ammonium crystallization problem caused by ammonia ac- cumulation, and if the process has ammonia exports its concentration will greatly reduced and the ammonia salt problem will effectively alleviate. Aspen plus simulation is a useful tool strengthening the ammonia recycling use and reducing pollutant for improving water quality, maintaining stable production, emissions.展开更多

TOF spectra of nascent H atom products were measured. Simulation of these spectra reveals three different atomic H loss processes: one from hydroxyl H elimination, one from methyl (ethyl) H elimination, and one from secondary dissociation of the methoxy (ethoxy) radical. The relative branching ratio indicates secondary dissociation of ethoxy is less important than that of methoxy. The average angular anisotropy parameter of methanol is negative (with β≈-0.3), indicating the transition dipole moment is perpendicular to the C-O-H plane. The slightly more negative β value of ethanol (with β≈-0.4) implies that ethanol has a longer rotational period. These experimental results indicate that both systems undergo fast internal conversion to the 3s surface after it is excited to the 3px surface, and then dissociate on the 3s surface. The translational energy distribution of the CH3O+H products reveals extensive CH3 rocking or CH3 umbrella excitation in the CH30 radical. However the vibrational structures are not resolved in the C2H5O radical.展开更多

In order to assess the antifouling efficacy of selected marine organisms, methanolic extracts of these organisms were tested against different fouling bacterial forms and II-instar stage of the barnacle, Balanus amphitrite. Antibiosis, bioactivity and followed by multivariate analyses were carried out to check the efficacy of antifouling effect of the selected marine organisms. Principal component analysis revealed the exemplary antifouling efficacy of the sponge extracts of Stylissa sp. observed followed by Hyrtios sp. against bacterial forms in the laboratory study. De-trended correspondence analysis confirmed that the contribution of antifouling efficacy of the selected sponge extracts was observed to be more towards Bacillus sp., Vibrio sp. and Alteromonas sp. Moreover, the efficacy of Hyrtios sp. extract(20.430 μg m L^(-1)) followed by Stylissa sp.(30.945 μg m L^(-1)) showed higher against barnacle instar compared with other extracts in the bioactivity assay. Bray-Curtis cluster analysis under paired linkage categorized all the sponge extracts into one major cluster with 75% similarity, and one outlier tunicate. More than 80% similarity observed between Hyrtios sp. and Stylissa sp. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) showed that the contribution of major peaks found in the marine organisms were towards sulfones, sulfoxides, cyanates and ketones.展开更多
