Methods The large positioning errors caused by the time varying deadzone were significantly reduced by using the dynamic compensation method for the deadzone; and the large overshoot caused by the time varying gain were dramatically reduced by using the three section intelligent control schemes. Results Experimental results demonstrated that the positioning performance of rapid response, high accuracy and smaller or even no overshoot was achieved under a wide variations of load torque. Conclusion The good positioning performance for valve controlled motor servo systems has been achieved in the presence of the time varying deadzone and gain.展开更多

Meanwhile the relation between the optimal ORP ( ORPopt ) and influent C/N ratio was evaluated, in which the influent chemical oxygen demand ( COD ) concentration was stabilized at (290 ± 10 ) mg/L, the influent total phosphorus (TP) concentration was stabilized at (7.0 ± 0.5 ) mg/L. The results indicated that: (1) the ORP in the second anoxic zone had effect on nitrogen and phosphorus removal capability, and the average percentages of phosphorus uptake in ANO2 zone ( ηa ) increased with increasing ORP, i. e. , increasing from 12. 0% at - 143 mV to 22.0%,30.0%,37.0%, and45.0% at -123, -111, -105 and -95 mV, respectively; (2) the ORPopt as function of influent C/N ratio could be calculated by the equation: y ffi 252. 73e〈 -x/3.39) _ 131.01 ; the maximum percentage of phosphorus uptake in ANO2 as function of the ORPopt could be calculated by the equation: y ffi -0.49e(x/15.58) + 1. 51. The ORPopt was the important process control parameter that must be optimized for operation of enhanced biological phosphorus removal ( EBPR ) system. Moreover, ORP sensor is very simple, and the industrial applications of this strategy is practical.展开更多

Methods: Artificial cerebrospinal fluid with carnosine was directly administrated over the exposed rat hippocampus. The changes of neuron activity in the CA1 region of hippocampus were evaluated by orthodromically- and antidromically-evoked potentials, as well as paired-pulse stimulation paradigm. Results: In both orthodromic and antidromic response potentials, carnosine transformed population spikes (PSs) with single spike into epileptiform multiple spikes. In addition, similar to the effect of 7-aminobutyric acidA (GABAA) antagonist picrotoxin, camosine decreased paired-pulse stimulating depression significantly. However, no significant change was observed in the spontaneous field potentials during the application of carnosine. Conclusion: The results indicate a disinhibition-induced excitation effect of carnosine on the CA1 pyramidal neurons. It provides important information against the application of carnosine as a potential anticonvulsant in clinical treatment.展开更多

Methods:A total of 300 CP cases aged between 1 and 5 years were randomly allocated into a treatment group (n=150) and a control group (n=150). Patients in the treatment group were treated with Governor Vessel-unblocking and brain- refreshing scalp acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training, whereas patients in the control group received rehabilitation training alone. The Beijing Gesell developmental (Gesell) scale and gross motor function measure (GMFM) scale were used to assess the motor and intellectual development before and 3 months after the treatment. In addition, the head CT/MRI examination was applied to assess the brain nerve repair before and after the treatment. Results:After the treatment, the total effective rate in the treatment group was 78.0%, versus 42.7% in the control group, showing a statistical significance (P〈0.05). As for scores of five subscales in the Gesell scale, there were significant intra-group differences in the treatment group (allP〈0.05); and the scores in the treatment group were significantly better than those in the control group (allP〈0.05). As for scores of five dimensions in GMFM scale, there were significant intra-group differences in the treatment group (allP〈0.05); and the scores in the treatment group were significantly better than those in the control group (allP〈0.05). According to the head CT/MRI findings, the total effective rate was 73.3% in the treatment group, versus 62.0% in the control group, showing a statistical significance (P〈0.05). Conclusion:When used in combination with rehabilitative training, Governor Vessel-unblocking and brain-refreshing scalp acupuncture can significantly improve the clinical efficacy for cerebral palsy complicated with intellectual disabilities. It can also improve the patients' motor function, intelligence and language ability.展开更多
