And the influences of welding parameters on arc force were also studied. The results show that...The electromagnetic emission(EME) induced from the rock containing piezoelectric materials was investigated under both static stress and exploding stress wave in the view of piezoelectric effect. The results show that the intensity of the EME induced from the rock under static stress increases with increasing stress level and loading rate; the relationship between the amplitude of the EME from the rock under different modes of stress wave and elastic parameters and propagation distance was presented. The intensity of the EME relates not only to the strength and elastic moduli of rock masses,but also to the initial damage of the rock. The intensity of EME induced by stress wave reaches the highest at the explosion-center and attenuates with the propagation distance. The intensity of EME increases with increasing the elastic modulus and decreases with increasing initial damage. The results are in good agreement with the experimental results.展开更多

Static and free vibration analyses of simply-supported bender elements are carried out for the sensor function. Experimental study showed that the fuel pressure of the plunger and the fuel drainage of the pressu...The electronic in-line pump (EIP) is a complex system consisting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electromagnetic parts. Experimental study showed that the fuel pressure of the plunger and the fuel drainage of the pressure system after fuel injection could result in fuel pressure fluctuation in the low pressure system. Such fluctuation exhibited pulsating cycle fluctuation as the amplitude rose with the increase of the injection pulse width. The time domain analysis found that the pressure time history curve and injection cylinders corresponded with a one-to-one relationship. By frequency domain analysis, the result was that with the increase of the working cylinder number, the high frequency amplitude gradually increased and the basic frequency amplitude gradually decreased. The conclusion was that through wavelet transformation, the low pressure signal simultaneously moved towards low frequency as the high frequency of the wavelet transformation signal with the working cylinder number increased. Lastly, by using the numerical model, the study investigated the simulation research concerning the relationship of the fluctuation dynamic characteristic in the low pressure system and the fuel injection characteristic of the high pressure system, completing the conclusions obtained by the experimental study.展开更多

The first model is based on approximate analytical expressions of the electromagnetic lbrces as they have been compiled in earlier versions of the IEC standard 60076-5. The second model is based on a finite element model of the transformer using the software FEMM (Finite Element Method Magnetics). The paper shows how valid the analytical model is for design purposes. Results have been obtained and compared from both models in a number of actual power distribution transformers. It is possible to conclude that the analytical formulation provides satisfactory results for the design of power transformers compared to detailed finite element models. A tool has been designed for this purpose and the main features of it will be described in the paper.展开更多

The paper focuses on the needed modifications to a general purpose gate driver for IGBT (insulated gate bipolar transistors) that will give pressure tolerance. The LVRT programs described in this paper developed field tests for newly installed wind turbines on wind farms in Northeast China. It is therefore different from other papers that only validate LVRT control strategies through running computer software simulations. To examine a single wind turbine's LVRT capability, the wind turbine's terminal voltage dip was realized by using a grid voltage dip emulator, which was located on the 690 V side of the generator transformer. In this paper, by artificially making various grid faults, the dynamic behavior of DFIG and PMSG wind turbines are analyzed and compared, control strategies such as active/passive crowbar and chopper protection schemes are verified, and new active/reactive power compensation methods are investigated and compared.展开更多

This paper investigates a new control method able to improve the fault-ride through capability of DFIG. In such generators the appearance of severe voltage sags at the coupling point make highlight important over currents at the rotor/stator windings, making the use of crowbar protection device necessary and inevitable in order to protect the machine as well as the rotor side power converter. The simulator consists of the DFIG analytical model, power transformer model and the detailed frequency converter model including crowbar protection device. Simulation results are carried out to show the transient behavior of the DFIG when a sudden voltage dip is introduced with and without the crowbar implementation.展开更多

Also this law (1997) introduces the division between generators, distri...The quality of supply in Spain is regulated by Act 54/1997 as the basic standard and further developed by Royal Decree 1955/2000, among others. Also this law (1997) introduces the division between generators, distribution companies and retailers. The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of the fundamental parameters to be taken into account when examining the status of national regulations in Spain on the quality of electricity supply, in addition to describing the various agents intervening in these. There are two more aspects to consider: the guarantee of supply and energy is provided at the lowest cost to consumers. The authors propose to include phase-shifting transformers at specific strategic points, in accordance with power flow control principles in parallel circuits. Finally, it can be concluded that Royal Decree 222/2008 needs reviewing and applying effectively, as do modifications to Royal Decree 1995/2000 providing remuneration that effectively induces electricity companies to invest in their networks, and ends with "a well-paid electricity company is obliged to invest in network improvements".展开更多
