SCM is the main controller and output voltage o{ DC power supply can be set by keyboard. The analog voltage can be obtained through D/A converter (DAC0832) so that different voltages can be provided by operational amplifier. The output voltage varies from 0 V to 12 V with the incremental value of 0. 1 V. The actual output voltage is shown in the nixietube. This DC regulated power supply is characterized by simple structure and easy operation.展开更多

The main requirements are: high voltage capability, small size and weight. The HV, HF transformer is the main critical block of a high frequency power converter system. The transformer must have high electrical efficiency and in the proposed approach has to be optimized by the number of the cores. The transformer concept has been investigated analytically and through software simulations and experiments. This paper introduces the transformer topology and discusses the design procedure. Experimental measurements to predict core losses are also presented. The losses of epoxy coated nanocrystalline are compared to the losses in a new uncoated core.展开更多

On the other hand, traditional AC (alternating current) loads like a directly connected induction motors will also be used. In the circumstances, a smart power conversion unit is one of key components, which can integrate these DC or AC apparatus and trade power among them. Authors have developed an integrated power converter based on a well-known circuit topology of flying capacitor multilevel converter. This paper describes the detail of the circuit topology and its characteristics depending on designed parameters. The achieved power quality is also verified by simulation study.展开更多

This paper discloses a very interested candidate to control DC-DC power converters, the Digital Signal Controller (DSC). For that matter, a study was done by carrying out simulations and experimental results. Moreover, an additional voltage-input feed-forward (IVFF) algorithm is given in order to show the benefits of this technology. Finally, a complete analysis of the quantization effect is presented, and its influence over the controller performance is included.展开更多
