The microstructure of Ag?4%SnO2 contact materials was characterized, and the relative density, hardness and electrical conductivity were measured. The arc erosion of Ag?4%SnO2 contact materials was tested, the arc duration and mass loss before and after arc erosion were determined, the surface morphologies and compositions of Ag?4%SnO2 contact materials after arc erosion were characterized, and the arc erosion mechanism of AgSnO2 contact materials was discussed. The results show that fine SnO2 particle is beneficial for the improvement of the relative density and hardness, but decreases the electrical conductivity. With the decrease of SnO2 particle size, Ag?4%SnO2contact material presents shorter arc duration, less mass loss, larger erosion area and shallower arc erosion pits.展开更多

Independent of the deposited temperature, the growth was mainly controlled by the ion-by-ion growth mechanism at the beginning of the film deposition, then the cluster-by-cluster mechanism came to be dominant. The growth rate increased faster with the increasing of temperature until the thickness reached the limitation, then thickness instead become thinner. The scanning electron micro- scope results revealed that the morphology of the CdS film changed from pinholes to rough, inhomogeneous surface with increasing deposition time and deposition temperature. The X- ray diffraction results showed the film structure was a mixture of two phases: hexagonal and cubic, and it was very important to controll deposition time to the film's crystal phase. All films in depth of approxilnate 100 nm existed above 65% transmittance, the absorption edge became "red-shift" with temperature rising. At 60 and 70℃, with 20 min deposited-time, the energy band gap was more than 2.42 eV and decreased with time, while at 80 and 90℃ the energy band gap was less than 2.42 eV and increased little when the time changed from 10min to 15 nfin at 80℃.展开更多

The results showed that the dielectric characteristics of Nd2O3 doped BaTiO3 ceramics were improved by doping. When Nd2O3 content was 0.003 mol, the results were even better, the dielectric constant was increased, the dielectric loss was decreased, the Curie-temperature (Tc) was 110 ℃, and the frequency characteristic was also good. The resistivity of Nd2O3 doped BaTiO3 ceramics was lower than that of pure BaTiO3 ceramics, when Nd2O3 content was 0.001 mol,the resistivity was (2.364×)108 Ω·m, the smallest. The grain resistance of Nd2O3 doped BaTiO3 ceramics exhibited NTC effect, but the grain boundary resistance showed PTC effect, and the grain boundary resistance was larger than that of the grain resistance, so the PTC effect originated from the grain boundary. The analysis of the element binding energy through X-ray photoelectron spectrum were indicated that the quantivalence of Ba2+and Ti4+in Nd2O3 doped BaTiO3 ceramics was variable, and resulted in the improvement of the conductibility of BaTiO3 ceramics.展开更多

Study on the effects of graphite particle size and shape on the bipolar plate performance, such as electrical conductivity, strength, etc. showed that with decrease of graphite particle size, bulk electrical conductivity and thermometric conductivity decreased, but that flexural strength was enhanced. After spherical graphite occurrence in flake-like form, the flexural strength of the bipolar plate was enhanced, electrical conductivity increased but thermal conductivity decreased in direction paralleling pressure direction, and both electrical conductivity and thermometric conductivity reduced in direction perpendicular to pressure direction.展开更多

TiO2 was formed directly in matrix by hydrolysis and condensation reaction of tetrabutyl titanate. The crystallinity, morphology and ionic conductivity of composite polymer electrolyte films were examined by differential scanning calorimetry, scanning electron microscopy, atom force microscopy and alternating current impedance spectroscopy, respectively. The glass transition temperature and the crystallinity of composite polymer electrolytes are decreased compared with those of PEO-LiClO4 polymer electrolyte film. The results show that TiO2 particles are uniformly dispersed in PEO-LiClO4-5%TiO2 composite polymer electrolyte film. The maximal conductivity of 5.5×10、5 Scm at 20 ℃ of PEO-LiClO4-TiO2 film is obtained at 5% mass fraction of TiO2.展开更多

Large electric current is required to impose the magnetic field on the ship hull, which in turn means that the deperming coil needs to be wound on ship hull when the coil is composed of conventional conductive materials, such as copper. We considered a few HTS (high temperature superconducting) coil systems to deperm naval ships because we expect the shorter deperming time and lower manual workload for ship deperming operation, compared conventional conductor coil systems. We have in the past presented a solution using a fiat two-coil system arranged on seabed with tightly bound HTS conductor by analytical calculation of magnetic field on the conductor. By considering present and already developed technologies, a conductor with cylindrically wound on the core arranged as fiat multi-turn coils on seabed was designed using analytical methods.展开更多

In the present work, an electro-conductive nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC) film filled with TiO2-reduced-graphene oxide (TiO2-RGO) was developed. Initially, graphene oxide (GO) was prepared using the modified Hummers method and thereafter photocatalytically reduced using TiO2 as a catalyst. Subsequently, an electro-conductive NCC film was prepared via vacuum filtration with the as-prepared TiO2-RGO nanocomposite as a functional filler. The TiO2-RGO nanocomposite and the NCC/TiO2-RGO film were systematically characterized. The results showed that the obtained TiO2-RGO nanocomposite exhibited reduced oxygen-containing group content and enhanced electro-conductivity as compared with those of GO. Moreover, the NCC flm flled with TiO2-RGO nanocomposite displayed an electro-conductivity of up to 9.3 S/m and improved mechanical properties compared with that of the control. This work could provide a route for producing electro-conductive NCC flms, which may hold signifcant potential as transparent ?exible substrates for future electronic device applications.展开更多

The measurements of Hall effect show p-type con- ductivity of PbSe epitaxial films. At 295 K, the PbSe samples display hole concentrations of (5~8)×1017 cm–3 with mobilities of about 300 cm2/(V·s), and at 77 K the hole mobility is as high as 3×103 cm2/(V·s). Five scattering mechanisms limiting hole mobilities are theoretically analyzed. The calculations and Raman scattering measurements show that, in the temperatures between 200 and 295 K, the scattering of polar optical phonon modes dominates the impact on the observed hole mobility in the epitaxial PbSe films. Raman spectra characterization observed strong optical phonon scatterings at high temperature in the PbSe epitaxial films, which is consistent with the result of the measured hole mobility.展开更多
