The shape, stopping length, velocity and current of streamers are investigated. Six untreated commercial oils extracted from grape seeds, sunflower and rape seeds, corn, rice and sesame that could constitute potential liquids for high voltage applications are tested. A naphthenic mineral oil is also tested for comparison. It's shown that the streamers are filamentary for both polarities. For a given voltage, the stopping lengths (Lf) of streamers are longer when the point is positive than when it is negative; also, except mineral oil when the point is negative, the values of Lf-are very close in all tested oils. The streamers' velocities are in the same range for all vegetable oils and they vary between 0.4 km/s and 1.2 km/s for positive polarity and 0.2 km/s and 0.8 km/s for negative polarity.展开更多

Currently, energy detector is the most common way of spectrum sensing because of its low computational complexity. However, performunce of the method will be possibly degraded due to the uncertainty noise. This paper illustrates the benefits of one-order and two-order cyclostationary properties of primary user's signals in time domain. These feature detection techniques in time domain possess the advantages of simple structure and low computational complexity comparing with spectral feature detection methods. Furthermore, performance of the one-order and two-order feature detection is studied and the analytical results are given. Our analysis and numerical results show that the sensing performance of the one-order feature detection is improved significantly comparing with conventional energy detector since it is robust to noise. Meanwhile, numerical results show that the two-order feature detection technique is better than the one-order feature detection. However, this benefit comes at the cost of hardware burdens and power consumption due to the additional multiplying algorithm.展开更多

Au-molecule-Au junctions are constructed with borazine and BCN unit structure as core molecule and sulphur (S), oxygen (O), selenium (Se) and cyano-group (CN) as terminal groups. The electron transport characteristics of the borazine and BCN molecular systems are analyzed through the transmission spectra and the current-voltage curve. The results demonstrate that the terminal groups modifying the transport behaviors of these systems in a controlled way. Our result shows that, selenium is the best linker to couple borazine to Au electrode and oxygen is the best one to couple BCN to Au electrode. Furthermore, the results of borazine systems are compared with that of BCN molecular systems and are discussed. Simulation results show that the conductance through BCN molecular systems is four times larger than the borazine molecular systems. Negative differential resistance behavior is observed with borazine-CN system and the saturation feature appears in BCN systems.展开更多
