Based on the saturation effect of the stator iron, six short voltage pulses are applied to determine the initial rotor position and the rotor can be found within 60°. After that, a series of short and long voltage pulses are used to accelerate the motor and the variation of the response current is utilized to detect the rotor position dynamically. When the motor reaches a certain speed at which the back-electromotive force (EMF) method can be applied, all the power devices are turned off and the running state of the motor is smoothly switched at the moment determined by the relationship between the terminal voltage waveform and the commutation phases. The experimental results verify the feasibility and validity of the proposed method.展开更多

A major criticality of such machines is the occurrence of large air-gap field harmonics due to winding distribution and to slotting effects. Predicting such harmonics analytically with adequate accuracy is a good way to significantly speed-up subsequent investigations, concerning the rotor effects of the field harmonics in terms of rotor losses. This paper proposes different analytical formulations for this purpose, covering the case of a generic number of stator phases and differing by how slotting effects are taken into account. The various approaches proposed are evaluated by comparing analytical results with finite-element analysis computations on a sample machine geometries.展开更多

The output torque's model of the joint's brushless DC motor is founded. Disturbance factors and the compensated effect of the torque's closed loop based on current measurement are analyzed. Related simulations and experiments show that the system has good current tracking and anti-disturbances performance, which improve the force control performance of the robot in assembly.展开更多

Due to the existence of ferromagnetism, antiferromagnetism and quantum magnetism in insulated charge-transfer salt, it becomes a common sense that magnetism is not good for conductivity. After the discovery of first molecular-based metallic ferromagnet, molecular-based conducting magnet with n-unit from organic conductor and magnetism from coordination counterion became a hot area. The metallic ferromagnet, semiconductor room-temperature ferrimagnet, metallic weak ferromagnet and supercon- ducting antiferromagnet have been discovered. The new molecular-based conducting magnet with higher conductivity and higher magnetic ordering temperature is expected.展开更多
