Wind power has made rapid progress and should gain significance as an energy resource,given growing interest in renewable energy and clean energy.Offshore wind energy resources have attracted significant attention,as,...Wind power has made rapid progress and should gain significance as an energy resource,given growing interest in renewable energy and clean energy.Offshore wind energy resources have attracted significant attention,as,compared with land-based wind energy resources,offshore wind energy resources are more promising candidates for development.Sea winds are generally stronger and more reliable and with improvements in technology,the sea has become a hot spot for new designs and installation methods for wind turbines.In the present paper,based on experience building offshore wind farms,recommended foundation styles have been examined.Furthermore,wave effects have been investigated.The split installation and overall installation have been illustrated.Methods appropriate when installing a small number of turbines as well as those useful when installing large numbers of turbines were analyzed.This investigation of installation methods for wind turbines should provide practical technical guidance for their installation.展开更多

The large-sized front wind rotor and the small-sized rear wind rotor drive, as for the upwind type, the inner and the outer rotational armatures, respectively, in keeping the rotational torque counter-balanced between both wind rotors/armatures. The unique rotational behaviors of the tandem wind rotors and the fundamental performances of the unit have been discussed at the previous paper. Continuously, this paper investigates experimentally and numerically the flow condition around the wind rotors to know the flow interactions between the front and the rear wind rotors, and optimizes the blade profile in the front wind rotor. The front blade should work fruitfully at the larger radius and had better not work at the smaller radius for giving plenty of wind energy to the rear wind rotor, taking account of the flow interaction between both wind rotors.展开更多

This unit is called "intelligent wind power unit". At upwind type unit, the large-sized front wind rotor and the small-sized rear wind rotor drive the inner and the outer rotational armatures respectively, in keeping the rotational torque counter-balance between both wind rotors/armatures. This paper discusses the acoustic noise emitted from the tandem wind rotors. As for tandem wind rotors, the tip vortex shedding from the front wind rotor may make a loud acoustic noise if the vortex attacks the rear wind rotor. Intelligent wind power unit, however, has no chance to increase the acoustic noise level by the tip vortex because the diameter of the front wind rotor is reasonably larger than the diameter of the rear wind rotor. The vorticity generated in the boundary layer on the blade can be observed obviously at wake flow and can be evaluated quantitatively at flow conditions measured by a hot-wire anemometer at a wind tunnel. The flow conditions have shown that the radial and axial components of vorticities contribute to emit the acoustic noise.展开更多

Aiming at the high velocity, high precision and high flexibility requirements, a novel manipulator of planar parallel structure is developed to substitute ordinary X-Y table. In addition, the machine vision is implemented to improve the system' s flexibility. The initial angular positions of the joints are estimated by the extended Kalman filter algorithm. As a resuh, the manipulator's absolute locating accuracy in its workspace is guaranteed indirectly. For any MEMS device, the bonding system itself can be used as measurement equipment to create the device' s geometry model, which is the base to do off-line programming. A quite ideal trade-off between the system' s flexibility and efficiency is got. Finally, some verified motion specification of the manipulator, the bonding experimental results and the verified qualities of the bonded devices are provided.展开更多

A theoretical model to calculate the distribution of curr...The luminous efficiency of organic light-emitting devices depends on the recombination probability of electrons injected at the cathode and holes at the anode. A theoretical model to calculate the distribution of current densities and the recombination rate in organic single layer devices is presented taking into account the charge injection process at each electrode, charge transport and recombination in organic layer. The calculated results indicate that efficient single-layer devices are possible by adjusting the barrier heights at two electrodes and the carrier mobilities. Lowering the barrier heights can improve the electroluminescent(EL) efficiency pronouncedly in many cases, and efficient devices are still possible using an ohmic contact to inject the low mobility carrier, and a contact limited contact to inject the high mobility carrier. All in all, high EL efficiency needs to consider sufficient recombination, enough injected carriers and well transport.展开更多

At the same time, making the simulation device of the system, the FCS control system scheme is implemented on this device. It is verified by practice that the system control technology is advanced, safe, reliable and operation well. It provides a complete project for automation technology upgrade program in power plant. Recently, due to the need of higher operation speeds and lighter machines in PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly, a challenging problem has arisen which is the table positioning vibration. The high speed with the machine flexibility, make the positioning vibration inevitable although the inner control. The positioning vibration is to be reduced otherwise the machine becomes useless. Firstly, the machine is modeled, the positioning vibration is formulated, and then analyzed. Secondly, using the analysis, three direct control methods are identified to decrease the positioning vibration, they are based on the kinematics, dynamics, and operation of the machine. Thirdly, the methods are examined numerically to evaluate their efficiency. Lastly, the identified methods are discussed to conclude on their application. The results are a real contribution in the vibration control of XY table automated assembly machines, which is classified as industrial knowhow.展开更多
Most biological photoredox reactions occur in sophisticated molecular assemblies consisting of highly organized light-harvesting moieties and catalytic centers.Mimicking these prototypes by creating supramolecular ass...Most biological photoredox reactions occur in sophisticated molecular assemblies consisting of highly organized light-harvesting moieties and catalytic centers.Mimicking these prototypes by creating supramolecular assemblies could be a potentially viable approach toward artificial photosynthesis.Although self-assembled organic materials are known to carry out water splitting reactions,developing self-assembled organic materials for photocatalytic overall water splitting still remains a critical challenge.Herein,we first demonstrate that crystalline organic nanosheets assembled from linear oligo(phenylene butadiynylene)(OPB)are able to catalyze overall water splitting under visible light irradiation.Further investigations reveal that the photocatalytic activity of self-assembled organic structures is closely related to the crystalline structure along with the corresponding electronic structure.Structural disorders in OPB nanosheets and extrinsic factors such as adsorbed water molecules will induce the formation of electron traps which can make the OPB nanosheets thermodynamically unfavorable for photocatalytic overall water splitting.The deactivation mechanism unveiled in this study provides crucial insights into the assembling of artificial organic materials for future solar-to-chemical energy conversion.展开更多
