Characteristic of early and late normalized inductiveelectromotive force was investigated. According to the turning point, the transient process is divided into the earlyphase, the turning point, and the late phase. Afterwards, apparent resistivity is obtained through inverse spline interpo-lation in the early and the late phases, respectively. Finally, the resistivities of the early-time and the late-time wereconnected together by the turning point. The result shows that the inverse spline method is feasible and the method alsolays a foundation for initial model construction in the TEM automatic inversion.展开更多

Based on the observation conditions, the observation system, and the observed data of Lhasa station preliminary discussed, the main characteristics of the abnormal change and evolution process are analyzed and studied, using the following two methods; the "synthesis energy accumulation"and the "power as MSA spectrum"analysis, from the two aspects of the"Time Domain"and"Frequency Domain. "The results show that the abnormal change of the geo-electric field observation of Lhasa station experienced a development stage following the process of "trend change- disturbance change- earthquake period-recovery period",and an evolution process of "low frequency change- high frequency change- smooth change- high frequency change ",before and after the Nepal M_S8. 1strong earthquake. Comprehensive analysis shows that the variation characteristics and evolution process of the geo-electric field at Lhasa station are basically consistent with the results of the relevant mechanism and phenomenon research. So far, this is valuable information with certain objectivity, which is typical and representative to reflect the whole process of the gestation, occurrence and complete development of such strongearthquakes.展开更多

The high precision magnetometer(HPM), which contains two fluxgate sensors and a coupled dark state magnetometer(CDSM), measures the vector of the Earth's magnetic field with a bandwidth from DC to 15 Hz. The two fluxgate sensors are in a gradiometer configuration in order to reduce satellite interferences. Additionally, the CDSM sensor measures the scalar value of the magnetic field with higher accuracy and stability.Several data processing and calibration methods have been prepared to get accurate vector magnetic field data. This includes the calibration of each of the three sensors, the absolute vector correction algorithm, the spacecraft magnetic interference elimination and the coordinate transformation method. Also the instrument performances based on ground calibration activities are shown in this article.展开更多

There have been a number of publications reporting EM anomalies associated with earthquakes. With increasing applications and research of artificial-source extremely low frequency EM and satellite EM technologies in earthquake studies, the amount of observed data from the alternating EM method increases rapidly and exponentially, so it is imperative to develop suitable and effective methods for processing and analyzing the influx of big data. This paper presents research on the self-adaptive filter and wavelet techniques and their applications to analyzing EM data obtained from ground measurements and satellite observations, respectively. Analysis results show that the self-adaptive filter method can identify both natural- and artificial-source EM signals, and enhance the ratio between signal and noise of EM field spectra, apparent resistivity, and others. The wavelet analysis is capable of detecting possible correlation between EM anomalies and seismic events. These techniques are effective in processing and analyzing massive data obtained from EM observations.展开更多
