A speed-sensorless vector control system for induction machines (IMs)is presented, According to the vector control theory of IMs, the rotor flux is estimated based on a flux observer,and the speed is estimated through the method of q-axis rotor flux converging on zero with proportional integral regulator, A 0.75 kW,50 Hz,two-pole induction machine was used in the simulation and experimental verification, The simulation model was constructed in Matlab. A series of tests were performed in the field weakening region, for both no-load and loaded operation. The estimated speed tracks the actual speed well in the based speed region and field weakening region ( 1 per unit value to 4 per unit value). The small estimation error of residual speed is due to the existence of slip. 展开更多

The vector control algorithm based on vector space decomposition (VSD) transformation method has a more flexible control freedom, which can control the fundamental and harmonic subspace separately. To this end, a current vector decoupling control algorithm for six-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is designed. Using the proposed synchronous rotating coordinate transformation matrix, the fundamental and harmonic components in d-q subspace are changed into direct current (DC) component, only using the traditional proportional integral (PI) controller can meet the non-static difference adjustment, and the controller parameter design method is given by employing intemal model principle. In addition, in order to remove the 5th and 7th harmonic components of stator current, the current PI controller parallel with resonant controller is employed in x-y subspace to realize the specific harmonic component compensation. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of current decoupling vector controller. 展开更多

DTC (direct torque control) can produce quick and robust response, but it has the problems of large torque ripples and inconstant inverter switching frequency. This paper introduces a modified direct torque control based on the SVM (space vector modulation) for IPMSM (interior permanent magnet synchronous motor) drive. Two PI (proportional-integral) controllers regulate the flux and torque, respectively, and the inverter is controlled by the SVM technique in the proposed DTC system. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed DTC system has been improved with respect to the conventional DTC. The DTC system can effectively reduce the flux and torque ripples. 展开更多

For computing the whole PMSM model, differential equations are used.
