The control algorithm for the speed sensorless IM is studied based on the stator flux orientation (SFO). The algorithm structure is simple to be implemented and cannot be influenced by motor parameters, The improved stator flux estimation is used to compensate errors caused by the low pass filter (LPF). A new speed regulator is designed to ensure the system working with the maximal torque in the transient state. The system simulation and the prototype experiment are made. The fluid flowing in a hydraulic cylinder is employed to drive an electromagnetic generator for harvesting vibration energy, which on the other hand, leads to a damping effect of the hydraulic damper. To make the damping force variable, an adjustable resistor is adopted to tune the capability of energy harvesting. The present approach is validated by both theoretical analysis and experimental evaluation. When connected with different resistance loads, the prototype damper has different equivalent damping coefficients ranging from 3. 987 × 104 to 2. 488 × 105 N· s/m. The results show that the damping force of the damper is variable in response to the adjustable load for the vibration energy harvesting.展开更多
A new kind of volume control hydraulic press that combines the advantages of both hydraulic and SRM(switched reluctance motor) driving technology is developed.Considering that the serious dead zone and time-variant no...A new kind of volume control hydraulic press that combines the advantages of both hydraulic and SRM(switched reluctance motor) driving technology is developed.Considering that the serious dead zone and time-variant nonlinearity exist in the volume control electro-hydraulic servo system,the ILC(iterative learning control) method is applied to tracking the displacement curve of the hydraulic press slider.In order to improve the convergence speed and precision of ILC,a fuzzy ILC algorithm that utilizes the fuzzy strategy to adaptively adjust the iterative learning gains is put forward.The simulation and experimental researches are carried out to investigate the convergence speed and precision of the fuzzy ILC for hydraulic press slider position tracking.The results show that the fuzzy ILC can raise the iterative learning speed enormously,and realize the tracking control of slider displacement curve with rapid response speed and high control precision.In experiment,the maximum tracking error 0.02 V is achieved through 12 iterations only.展开更多

The accuracy and validity of this virtual test system proposed were verified by comparing the measurements made with the system proposed with the measurements made with conventional torque meters. It is concluded from the results of comparison that from the mathematic model established for the DC permant magnet motors, both major parameters and operating characteristics can be directly established for the DC motors without measuring their torques and rotational speed, a perfect on line measurement and test system has been established for the DC permanent magnet motors using the theory of virtual test system. The system proposed features shorter test time, higher efficiency and lower cost.展开更多

In order to magnetic field should be vertical with the rotor magnetic field and be synchronous with rotor rotating, so the position and speed of PMSM is estimated in real time and the estimated position is modified continuously. The principle, structure, and drive signals of tail fin electromagnetic drive are researched, the enforced situation of fish under eIectromagnetic driving modes are analyzed, and the experimental plat-form of tail fin electromagnetic drive is established. The best distance between electro- magnet and armature, which can realize the swing of tail fin, was researched in the experiment under water. A high-performance digital servo system built on the platform of a field programmable gate array (FPGA),a fully digitized hardware design scheme of a direct torque control (DTC) and a low speed permanent magnet synchr...A high-performance digital servo system built on the platform of a field programmable gate array (FPGA),a fully digitized hardware design scheme of a direct torque control (DTC) and a low speed permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is proposed. The DTC strategy of PMSM is described with Verilog hardware description language and is employed on-chip FPGA in accordance with the electronic design automation design methodology. Due to large torque ripples in low speed PMSM,the hysteresis controller in a conventional PMSM DTC was replaced by a fuzzy controller. This FPGA scheme integrates the direct torque controller strategy,the time speed measurement algorithm,the fuzzy regulating technique and the space vector pulse width modulation principle. Experimental results indicate the fuzzy controller can provide a controllable speed at 20 r min-1 and torque at 330 N m with satisfactory dynamic and static performance. Furthermore,the results show that this new control strategy decreases the torque ripple drastically and enhances control performance.展开更多

In order to dispel its adverse effect on security in mining, the chaotic system of PMSM was analyzed. With noise disturbances, the complex dynamic characteristics of chaos were also analyzed, and proved the objective existence of chaos. As we all know, it is very difficult for conventional PMSM control to meet the design requirements, therefore, in order to ensure the robustness of the system, the chaotic orbits were stabilized to arbitrary chosen fixed points and periodic orbits by means of sliding mode method. Finally MATLAB simulations were presented to confirm the validity of the controller. The results show that the PMSM with the sliding mode control has a good dynamic performance and steady state accuracy.展开更多
