The electrical properties of oil shale under different temperatures, especially the resistance, become important. Charging oil shale underground to heat oil shale till kerogen's decomposition temperature, then crude oil and other gases can be generated. The resistance of the oil shale samples was measured by Direct Current (DC) quadripole method to find out the variation rules of resistance value. In the experiments, oil shale presented its semiconductor property. When heated till 350℃-450℃, its resistance changed greatly, optional for heating and cracking. The porosity, oil content, media and composition affected the resistance largely.展开更多
The inhibition ability of 4-amino-5-phenyl-4H-1, 2, 4-trizole-3-thiol (APTT), ethylenediaminetetra-acetic acid (EDTA) and thiourea (TU) for mild steel corrosion in 1.0 moFL HC1 solution at 30 ℃ was investigated...The inhibition ability of 4-amino-5-phenyl-4H-1, 2, 4-trizole-3-thiol (APTT), ethylenediaminetetra-acetic acid (EDTA) and thiourea (TU) for mild steel corrosion in 1.0 moFL HC1 solution at 30 ℃ was investigated. Tafel polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were used to investigate the influence of these organic compounds as corrosion inhibitors of mild steel in 1.0 mol/L HC1 solution at 30 ℃. The inhibition mechanism was discussed in terms of Langrnuir isotherm model. Results obtained from Tafel polarization and impedance measurements are in a good agreement. The inhibition efficiency increases with the increase of the inhibitor concentration. The adsorption of the inhibitors on the mild steel surface follows Langmuir adsorption isotherm and the free energy of adsorption AGads indicates that the adsorption of APTT, EDTA, and TU molecules is a spontaneous process and a typical chemisorption.展开更多

The new apparatus is...A novel analytical method with the guarded-hot-box (GHB) in investigating the thermal resistance of heat-resistant fabrics is described and the analytical method is also presented in this paper. The new apparatus is capable of measure thermal resistance of the fabrics in high temperature up to an average applied temperature of 250~C. The maximum measurement error of the apparatus is 6.5% and relative error is less than 2.8% between the introduced method and standard given value. In the G/-IB method, air layer thickness is the most important factor that influences measurement value of thermal resistance of heat-resistant fabrics. Results show that the method is more accurate and efficient than GBl1048-89 one in measuring thermal resistance of heat-resistant fabrics.展开更多

B...In order to explore the mineral resources buried in sea mud,it is necessary to use seabed resistivity measuring equipment,which works closer to the sediments than ordinary ship-based geophysical measuring equipment. Because of the harsh environment of seafloor,high pressure and highly conductive seawater,marine magnetotelluric method developed slowly. The sea floor environment is similar to the environment of logging, According to the design of dual lateral logging equipment,a new equipment for seafloor electrical resistivity measurement is designed. Four 3D FEM models that contain resistivity abnormal targets are built to test the ability of this equipment to locate different shape of shallow buried resistivity abnormal targets in sea mud. The authors propose the method to correct the response curve while the bottom surface of this equipment is suspended or not parallel to the seafloor. The resistivity of targets can be calculated accurately.展开更多
