Planet host stars in open clusters

We have compiled a list of all planet host star candidates reported in the literature,which are likely to be cluster members,and we checked their memberships by the spatial location,radial velocity,proper motion and photometric criteria.We found that only six stars,BD-13 2130,HD 28305,Kepler-66,Kepler-67,Pr0201 and Pr0211,are planet orbiting stars in open clusters to date.Two stars,HD 70573 and HD 89744,belong to moving groups and one star,TYC 8975-2606-1,may not be a planet host star,while three stars,HD 16175,HD 46375 and HD 108874 are not members of open clusters.We note that all these six planetary systems in the stellar cluster environment are younger than^1 Gyr,which might indicate that the planetary system in open cluster can not survive for a long time,and we speculate that close stellar encounters between member stars in open cluster can potentially destroy,or at least strongly affect,the presence of planetary systems. 展开更多

To understand the formation mechanism of blue stragglers in open clusters, we conducted a photometric analysis for a blue straggler eclipsing binary in the old open cluster NGC 2141. By using the least square fitting of times of minima, we derived the ephemeris and redetermined the orbital period of this system to be 0.6227 d. We have also done a photometric analysis for light curve with the Wilson-Devinney Code (2003). The photometric solutions reveal a semi-detached binary with the second- ary component filling its Roche lobe. The photometric mass ratio MJMI (secondary/primary) was determined to be 0.190_+0.002 and the ratio of V-band luminosity L2/LI(V) is about 0.033_+0.001, which indicates the secondary component is overluminous. Thus, this blue straggler likely results from a substantial mass exchange between these two components. 展开更多

The low-cost activated carbon was prepared from a renewable aquatic plant residue,Trapa natans husk,and tested for its ability to remove norfloxacin (NOR) from aqueous solutions. Physical and chemical properties of the Trapa natans husk activated carbon (TAC) were characterized. TAC has a large surface area of 1274 m2/g and mesoporous structure. Carboxylic and hydroxyl groups contributed to the sorption of NOR onto TAC but they were not the most important factors in the sorption process. The rates of adsorption followed the pseudo-second-order kinetics and the overall rate of NOR uptake was controlled by both external mass transfer and intro particle diffusion during the entire adsorption period. The equilibrium data fitted well with the Freundlich and Tempkin models and the sorption was found to be a favorable process. The adsorption of NOR by TAC was strongly dependent on the solution pH. Electrostatic interaction and hydrophobic interaction were proposed to be the principal NOR sorption mechanism. 展开更多
