Objective:The paper aims to explore the status of intensive care unit(ICU)nurses'self-esteem,job satisfaction,and subjective well-being and to investigate the relationship among the three elements.Methods:A cross-...Objective:The paper aims to explore the status of intensive care unit(ICU)nurses'self-esteem,job satisfaction,and subjective well-being and to investigate the relationship among the three elements.Methods:A cross-sectional survey of 224 nurses from five teaching hospitals in Tianjin,China,was conducted.Self-esteem scale,job satisfaction scale,and subjective well-being scale were used to explore the status of ICU nurses'self-esteem,job satisfaction,and subjective well-being.Correlation among the three elements was calculated by SPSS 17.0.Results:The scores of three scales(i.e.,ICU nurses'self-esteem,job satisfaction,and subjective well-being)were 27.67±3.41,43.57±9.04,and 69.73±11.60,respectively.The subjective well-being was significantly positively correlated with self-esteem and job satisfaction(r=0.454,P<0.01;r=0.584,P<0.01,respectively).Conclusion:The study shows that the prevalence of subjective well-being and self-esteem with ICU nurses are at a low level,and job satisfaction is at the median level.Associations among self-esteem,job satisfaction,and subjective well-being in ICUs have been confirmed.Self-esteem and job satisfaction positively correlated with nurse subjective well-being.The higher the self-esteem and job satisfaction levels are,the stronger the subjective well-being is.The working pressure in ICUs cannot be alleviated temporarily;hence,to promote a high subjective well-being,managers and ICU nurses increase their self-esteem and job satisfaction through taking strategies that strengthen psychological construction.展开更多

The main objective is the observation of soil properties concerning the main threats to soil: soil...The purpose of soil monitoring system in Slovakia is better to protect the soils with regard to sustainable land use. The main objective is the observation of soil properties concerning the main threats to soil: soil contamination, salinisation and sodification, decline in soil organic matter (SOM), soil compaction and erosion. Soil monitoring system in Slovakia is consistently running since 1993. Its importance consists of providing the information on changing spatial and temporal variations of soil parameters as well as the evolution of soil quality in topsoil and subsoil. Soil monitoring network in Slovakia is constructed using ecological principles, taking into account all main soil types and subtypes, SOM, climatic regions, emission regions, polluted and non-polluted regions as well as various land use. The results of soil monitoring of 318 sites on agricultural land in Slovakia have been presented. Soil properties are evaluated according to the main threats to soil relating to European Commission recommendation for European soil monitoring performance as follows: soil contamination, soil salinization and sodification, decline in SOM, soil compaction and erosion. The most significant change has been determined in physical properties of soils. The physical degradation was especially manifested in compacted and the eroded soils. About 50% of agricultural land is potentially affected by soil erosion in Slovakia. In addition, decline in SOM and available nutrients indicate the serious facts on evaluation and extension of soil degradation processes during the last period in Slovakia. Obtained measured data and required outputs are reported to Joint Research Centre (JRC) in lspra (Italy) and European Environmental Agency (EEA) in Copenhagen (Denmark). Finally, soil monitoring system thus becomes a basic tool for protection of soils and sustainable land use as well as for the creation of legislatives not only in Slovakia, but in EU, too.展开更多
The Jianpudong No. 4 tunnel is a shallow tunnel, which belongs to Shaoshan County scenic highway in Hunan province, China and whose surrounding rock is weak. According to its characteristics, the field monitoring test...The Jianpudong No. 4 tunnel is a shallow tunnel, which belongs to Shaoshan County scenic highway in Hunan province, China and whose surrounding rock is weak. According to its characteristics, the field monitoring tests and numerical analysis were done. The mechanical characteristics of shallow tunnels under weak surrounding rock and the stress-strain rule of surrounding rock and support were analyzed. The numerical analysis results show that the settlement caused by upper bench excavating accounts for 44% of the total settlement, and the settlement caused by tunnel upper bench supporting accounts for 56% of the total settlement. The maximum axial force of shotcrete lining is 177.2 k N, which locates in hance under the secondary lining. The maximum moment of shotcrete lining is 5.08 k N·m, which locates in the arch foot. The stress curve of steel arch has three obvious stages during the tunnel construction. The maximum axial force of steel arch is 297.4 k N, which locates in tunnel vault. The axial forces of steel arch are respectively 23.5 k N and-21.8 k N, which is influenced by eccentric compression of shallow tunnel and locates in hance. The results show that there is larger earth pressure in tunnel vault which is most unfavorable position of steel arch. Therefore, the advance support should be strengthened in tunnel vault during construction process.展开更多
Depression is the most present mental disorders with a very expensive treatment costs. Due to the high prevalence of depression in Bosnia and Herzegovina and high work load of psychiatrists, patients that suffer from ...Depression is the most present mental disorders with a very expensive treatment costs. Due to the high prevalence of depression in Bosnia and Herzegovina and high work load of psychiatrists, patients that suffer from depression are often marginalised, stigmatised and inadequately treated. Therefore, a pharmacist can influence an adequate selection of a therapy through an interdisciplinary approach and pharmaceutical care and alos provide patient monitoring, counselling about side effects and interactions of the prescribed drugs, which will in the end improve the quality of life for patients that suffer from depression. The aim of this work was to establish the influence of pharmaceutical care on the outcome of the quality of life and the pharmacological treatment of patients suffering from depression. Results showed that the involvement of pharmacist in a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of depression lead to improvement of the effect of therapy and increased quality of life.展开更多

Under the largescale relocation projects, 2874 engineered slopes are formed along with the construction of new towns. In this paper, the cutting slopes are mainly soil slopes and rock slopes. Soil slopes include residual soil slopes, colluvial accumulation slopes, swelling soil slopes, and artificial earth fill slopes, etc. Rock slopes include blocky structure rock slopes, layer structure rock slopes, and clastic structure rock slopes, etc. Varied protection measures have been used for slope protection in the reservoir area including shotcrete concrete-anchor bars, frame beams, retaining walls, slope stabilizing piles, sheet-pile walls, anchorage anti-shear tunnels, flexible protection grids, and drainage, etc. Besides, slope deformation monitoring systems have been set up to monitor deformation failure and the stability state of slopes. The Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-Water) has encountered four problems during the management of water resources of approximately 1,300 buildings spread throughout the country-degradation, budget constraints, ...The Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-Water) has encountered four problems during the management of water resources of approximately 1,300 buildings spread throughout the country-degradation, budget constraints, lack of standards, and lack of planning. In this study, we have developed a mechanism for collecting, maintaining, and analyzing ground data for repair and replacement works. Our BMS (building maintenance system) uses the recorded repair and replacement work histories and calculates the life cycle costs of the related items. Further, it enables the performance of repair and replacement tasks through an integrated approach aimed at preventive maintenance. In this manner, the BMS is expected to maximize the efficiency of the formulation of prevention and maintenance work plans, monitoring of work histories, predictions of future tasks from the analyses of repair and replacement histories, and performance of LCC (life cycle cost) calculations. Reliable maintenance of national properties can thus be achieved by using the BMS, which promotes reasonable and efficient repair and replacement activities.展开更多
