The protocol we proposed can interoperate different mon...This paper describes a hierarchical architecture and a high-performance and interoperability protocol for centralized monitoring and controlling systems (CMCS) . The protocol we proposed can interoperate different monitoring and controlling systems constructed by different companies, each with different functions and communication protocols. The protocol reduces the amount of traffic and has real-time and high-perfor-mance advantages. The protocol was implemented in CMCS for telecommunication power supply and air-condi-tioner used by the Telecommunication Bureau of Zhejiang Province. This paper deals with the hierarchical architecture and function of CMCS and packet format, command ID, and SDL description of its protocol. We also discuss the properties of the interoperability and performance of the protocol in this paper.展开更多

The new protocol, which is called PRMA (Priority Rotation Multiple Access), is based on priority rotation theory. In PRMA, each access cycle consists of a contention period and a data transmission period. During contention period, a node competes for the right to control the channel according to its priority. The winner of contention can control the channel and can send data without collision in data transmission period. Analysis and simulation results show that PRMA is a stable protocol, which means that it can achieve high throughput both under high-load and under low-load conditions.展开更多

The biggest challenge of vehicular ad hoe network routing prot...This paper studies a routing protocol used in the application of collecting real-time traffic information using mobile vehicles to monitor traffic status. The biggest challenge of vehicular ad hoe network routing protocol lies in the mismatch between the direction of moving vehicles and routed data. In order to deal with this mismatch, a mesh based routing protocol with a two-tier network architecture is proposed. By using mesh nodes deployed at intersections, data can be routed through an optimized path which can improve the delivery ratio and reduce the consumption of network resources. The simulation uses the mobility model processed from the GPS data of taxis mnning in Shanghai urban areas. The result shows that the proposed protocol outperforms the existing flooding protocol.展开更多
