Bas...The Main Optical Telescope (MOT) is an important payload of the Space Solar Telescope (SST) with various instruments and observation modes. Its real-time data handling and management and control tasks are arduous. Based on the advanced techniques of foreign countries, an improved structure of onboard data handling systems feasible for SST, is proposed. This article concentrated on the development of a Central Management & Control Unit (MCU) based on FPGA and DSP. Through reconfigurating the FPGA and DSP programs, the prototype could perform different tasks. Thus the inheritability of the whole system is improved. The completed dual-channel prototype proves that the system meets all requirements of the MOT. Its high reliability and safety features also meet the requirements under harsh conditions such as mine detection.展开更多

AIM:To explore the prognostic value in the monitoring of treatment efficacy of serial α-fetoprotein(AFP) in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) patients.METHODS:We searched MEDLINE,EMBASE and COCHRANE LIBRARY through April...AIM:To explore the prognostic value in the monitoring of treatment efficacy of serial α-fetoprotein(AFP) in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) patients.METHODS:We searched MEDLINE,EMBASE and COCHRANE LIBRARY through April 21,2012,to find qualifying articles.Our overall search strategy included terms for HCC,AFP,treatment response,and prognosis.Literature was limited to English-language,human studies.Studies reporting cumulative survival rates were summa-rized qualitatively.For the prognostic meta-analysis,we undertook a series of meta-analyses that summarised the Cox proportional hazard ratios(HRs) by assuming a random effects model.With regards to the correlation of AFP change with radiologic response,the categorical dichotomous variables were assessed using Poisson relative risks(RRs),which were incorporated into the random effects model meta-analysis of accuracy prediction.Between-study heterogeneity was estimated by use of the I2 statistic.Publication bias was evaluated using the Begg funnel plot and Egger plot.Sensitivity analyses were conducted first by separating systemic treatment estimates from locoregional therapy estimates,evaluating different AFP response cut-off point effects,and exploring the impact of different study sizes.RESULTS:Of 142 titles identified in our original search,11 articles(12 clinical studies) met our criteria.Six studies investigated outcome in a total of 464 cases who underwent systemic treatment,and six studies investigated outcome in a total of 510 patients who received locoregional therapy.A random-effects model metaanalysis showed that AFP response was associated with an mortality HR of 0.55(95%CI,0.47-0.65) across HCC in overall survival(OS) and 0.50(95%CI,0.38-0.65) in progression-free survival.Restricting analysis to the six eligible analyses of systemic treatment,the pooled HRs were 0.64(95%CI,0.53-0.77) for OS.Limiting analysis to the six analyses of locoregional therapy,the pooled HRs for OS was 0.39(95%CI,0.29-0.53).We showed a larger pooled HR in the 50% definition studies(HR,0.67,95%CI,0.55-0.83) compared with that from the 20% definition studies(HR,0.41,95%CI,0.32-0.53).Restricting analysis to the four studies including over 100 patients individually,the pooled HR was 0.65(95%CI,0.54-0.79),with a pooled HR for OS of 0.35(95%CI,0.23-0.46) in the studies of less than 100 patients.As to radiological imaging,43.1%(155/360) of the patients in the AFP response group presented with a radiological overall response,while the response rate decreased to 11.5%(36/313) in the patients from theAFP nonresponse group.The RR of having no overall response was significantly lower in the AFP response group than the AFP nonresponse group(RR,0.67;95%CI,0.61-0.75).In terms of disease control rate,86.9%(287/330) in the AFP response group and 51.0%(153/300) in the AFP nonresponse group showed successful disease control,respectively.The RR of disease control failure,similarly,was significantly lower in the AFP response group(RR,0.37;95%CI,0.23-0.58).But these findings could be overestimates because of publication and reporting bias.CONCLUSION:HCC patients presenting with an AFP response are at decreased risk of mortality.In addition,patients with an AFP response also present with a higher overall response rate and disease control rate.展开更多

It contains regular o...Long-term observations of pulse and arterial blood pressure taken from a patient's daily self-control diary have been analyzed in the paper. The diary was kept in the morning and in the evening. It contains regular observational data collected during over 13 years. Statistical estimates of series and their spectral responses were obtained. A difference between the morning and evening series was noted. Spectral harmonics with the period of 7 days was typical of the evening series. The morning series are characterized by a "lunar" component with the -27.35-day period. The examined series were also compared with the daily series of atmospheric pressure and daily Wolf numbers. Seasonal pulse and arterial pressure pattern and average monthly self-control tabulated data obtained during 13 years are presented in the paper.展开更多

This paper describes two ways photogrammetric techniques are being used. First,photogrammetric data of laboratory testing is being used to correlate energy input and support deformation. This information can be used to infer remaining support toughness after ground deformation events. This technique is also demonstrated in a field application.Second,field photogrammetric data is compared to crackmeter data from a deep underground mine.Accuracies were found to average 8 mm,but have produced results within 0.2 mm of true displacement,as measured by crackmeters. Application of these techniques consists of monitoring overall fault activity by monitoring multiple points around the crackmeter. A case study is provided in which a crackmeter is clearly shown to have provided insufficient information regarding overall fault ground deformation.Photogrammetry is proving to be a useful ground monitoring tool due to its unobtrusiveness and ease of use.展开更多

However, little attention is paid to evaluate the functional state ...The diagnosis of disease and prescription of therapy are mainly realized through the control of physiological functions in humans during wakefulness. However, little attention is paid to evaluate the functional state of a patient in sleep. The efficiency of prescribed medicines is also determined in wakefulness. The effects of these drugs during sleep are usually out-of-sight of a physician. Human psychoemotional state during wakefulness is closely related to sleep. Various serious disturbances in physiological functions appear during the night sleep. They include cardiovascular disorders (hypertensive crisis, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, stroke, etc.), which may cause sudden death. A large body of evidence shows that stress is followed by sleep disorders. They serve as a factor, which contributes to the development of stress. It should be noted that sleep is the major anti-stress factor. The vicious circle is formed, which can be revealed by a complex control of human physiological functions during wakefulness and sleep. We developed a new methodology and constructed an information-and-equipment device for monitoring of vital physiological functions of humans during sleep in a real everyday life. This approach holds much promise for the diagnosis of disease and evaluation of therapeutic efficacy.展开更多

AIM:To determine the effect of oral sumatriptan on gastric emptying using a continuous 13 C breath test(BreathID system).METHODS:Ten healthy male volunteers participated in this randomized,2-way crossover study.The su...AIM:To determine the effect of oral sumatriptan on gastric emptying using a continuous 13 C breath test(BreathID system).METHODS:Ten healthy male volunteers participated in this randomized,2-way crossover study.The subjects fasted overnight and were randomly assigned to receive a test meal(200 kcal/200 mL) 30 min after pre-medication with sumatriptan 50 mg(sumatriptan condition),or the test meal alone(control condition).Gastric emptying was monitored for 4 h after administration of the test meal by the 13 C-acetic acid breath test performed continually using the BreathID system.Then,using Oridion Research Software(β version),the time taken for emptying of 50% of the labeled meal(T 1/2) similar to the scintigraphy lag time for 10% emptying of the labeled meal(T lag),the gastric emptying coefficient(GEC),and the regression-estimated constants(β and κ) were calculated.The statistical significance of any differences in the parameters were analyzed using Wilcoxon's signed-rank test.RESULTS:In the sumatriptan condition,significant differences compared with the control condition were found in T 1/2 [median 131.84 min(range,103.13-168.70) vs 120.27 min(89.61-138.25);P = 0.0016],T lag [median 80.085 min(59.23-125.89) vs 61.11 min(39.86-87.05);P = 0.0125],and β [median 2.3374(1.6407-3.8209) vs 2.0847(1.4755-2.9269);P = 0.0284].There were no significant differences in the GEC or κ between the 2 conditions.CONCLUSION:This study showed that oral sumatriptan significantly delayed gastric emptying of a liquid meal.展开更多

文摘AIM:To determine the effect of oral sumatriptan on gastric emptying using a continuous 13 C breath test(BreathID system).METHODS:Ten healthy male volunteers participated in this randomized,2-way crossover study.The subjects fasted overnight and were randomly assigned to receive a test meal(200 kcal/200 mL) 30 min after pre-medication with sumatriptan 50 mg(sumatriptan condition),or the test meal alone(control condition).Gastric emptying was monitored for 4 h after administration of the test meal by the 13 C-acetic acid breath test performed continually using the BreathID system.Then,using Oridion Research Software(β version),the time taken for emptying of 50% of the labeled meal(T 1/2) similar to the scintigraphy lag time for 10% emptying of the labeled meal(T lag),the gastric emptying coefficient(GEC),and the regression-estimated constants(β and κ) were calculated.The statistical significance of any differences in the parameters were analyzed using Wilcoxon's signed-rank test.RESULTS:In the sumatriptan condition,significant differences compared with the control condition were found in T 1/2 [median 131.84 min(range,103.13-168.70) vs 120.27 min(89.61-138.25);P = 0.0016],T lag [median 80.085 min(59.23-125.89) vs 61.11 min(39.86-87.05);P = 0.0125],and β [median 2.3374(1.6407-3.8209) vs 2.0847(1.4755-2.9269);P = 0.0284].There were no significant differences in the GEC or κ between the 2 conditions.CONCLUSION:This study showed that oral sumatriptan significantly delayed gastric emptying of a liquid meal.
