Metal mineral resources play an indispensable role in the development of the national economy.Dynamic disasters in underground metal mines seriously threaten mining safety,which are major scientific and technological ...Metal mineral resources play an indispensable role in the development of the national economy.Dynamic disasters in underground metal mines seriously threaten mining safety,which are major scientific and technological problems to be solved urgently.In this article,the occurrence status and grand challenges of some typical dynamic disasters involving roof falling,spalling,collapse,large deformation,rockburst,surface subsidence,and water inrush in metal mines in China are systematically presented,the characteristics of mining-induced dynamic disasters are analyzed,the examples of dynamic disasters occurring in some metal mines in China are summarized,the occurrence mechanism,monitoring and early warning methods,and prevention and control techniques of these disasters are highlighted,and some new opinions,suggestions,and solutions are proposed simultaneously.Moreover,some shortcomings in current disaster research are pointed out,and the direction of efforts to improve the prevention and control level of dynamic disasters in China’s metal mines in the future is prospected.The integration of forward-looking key innovative theories and technologies in the abovementioned aspects will greatly enhance the cognitive level of disaster prevention and mitigation in China’s metal mining industry and achieve a significant shift from passive disaster relief to active disaster prevention.展开更多

A wide range of terrain features and landforms,which are exemplified by intricate geological formations and diverse rock compositions,are found in the western mountainous regions of China.These areas frequently encoun...A wide range of terrain features and landforms,which are exemplified by intricate geological formations and diverse rock compositions,are found in the western mountainous regions of China.These areas frequently encounter geological disasters.As one of the natural disasters,landslides lead to considerable loss of human life and property.Considering mitigation of the losses caused by landslide disasters,a necessary measure for disaster prevention and mitigation involves conducting detailed investigations and monitoring of landslides,which is also the cornerstone of landslide warning.This study compares and analyzes the feasibility of the magnetotelluric detection method for landslides using the results of engineering geological surveys and landslide monitoring.The study aims to address the scientific problem of the validity of using magnetotelluric methods to detect landslide development processes.The Tangjiawan landslide signal on the left side of the K94+000~K94+145 section of the Wenma Expressway is analyzed by employing engineering geological survey,magnetotelluric detection,landslide monitoring,landslide analysis,and other methods.Analysis results provide the static electrical characteristics of lithology,structure,and groundwater,as well as the dynamic electrical characteristics of landslide development.This study focuses on analyzing the relationship between the methods of magnetotelluric detection and engineering geological surveys and the results of landslide monitoring.The workflow and methods for data collection,processing,inversion,interpretation,and analysis using the magnetotelluric method to detect the dynamic development process of landslides are presented in the conclusion.Preliminary conclusions indicate a strong correlation between the dynamic changes in magnetotelluric wave impedance with the surface displacement of landslides and the dynamic changes in groundwater.The use of the magnetotelluric method for landslide detection and monitoring is a feasible example.The research results can offer certain technical references for the detection and monitoring of landslides using magnetotelluric methods and also provide references and guidance for the selection of diversified landslide monitoring methods in the future.展开更多

The proposed flow detection module collects traffic flow statistics in ...This paper presents an urban expressway video surveillance and monitoring system for traffic flow measurement and abnormal performance detection. The proposed flow detection module collects traffic flow statistics in real time by leveraging multi-vehicle tracking information. Based on these online statistics, road operating situations can be easily obtained. Using spatiotemporal trajectories, vehicle motion paths are encoded by hidden Markov models. With path division and parameter matching, abnormal performances containing extra low or high speed driving, illegal stopping and turning are detected in real scenes. The traffic surveillance approach is implemented and evaluated on a DM642 DSP-based embedded platform. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system is feasible for the detection of vehicle speed, vehicle counts and road efficiency, and it is effective for the monitoring of the aforementioned anomalies with low computational costs.展开更多

Results (1) The main drug supplying organizations in the countryside are township hospitals and village dispensaries. (2) The personnel in the drug supplying organizations are rather inadequately educated. (3) The drug resources in the grass-roots countryside are complex and disordered. (4) Most of the countryside retail drugstores are small, and the number of drugstores is small, but their development potential is great. Conclusion (1) A basic drug catalogue for rural areas should be made up. (2) Legitimate drug wholesale companies should be encouraged to supply drugs for vast countryside. The method is developed to handle uncontrollable and unobservable transitions existing in the constraints. The “greater-than or equal” general constraints can also be transformed into “less-than or equal” Parikh constraints. An example is analyzed to show how the problem is solved. General constraint is first transformed into Parikh vector constraints, and Matrix-Transformation is proposed to obtain the admissible constraints without uncontrollable and unobservable transitions. Then the supervisor can be constructed based on constraints only consisting of Parikh vector terms. The method is proved to be more concise and effective than the method presented by Iordache and Moody especially when applied to large scale systems.展开更多

WS-proxy is deployed as an intermediary between internal business processes and external service providers, and it provides a single point of service access with the functions of message routing and content inspection. By using an XPath engine named WS-filter, performance indicators can be generated from service messages for assessing business performance. In the experiments, the feasibility of WS-proxy is verified and it achieves good performance in the monitoring work. The latency introduced by WS-proxy is only about 15% of the overall latency while extracting performance indicators just consumes less than one third of the processing time.展开更多

Unlike the conventional multi-way principal component a...In this paper, we describe a new batch process monitoring method based on multilevel independent component analysis and principal component analysis (MLICA-PCA). Unlike the conventional multi-way principal component analysis (MPCA) method, MLICA-PCA provides a separated interpretation for multilevel batch process data. Batch process data are partitioned into two levels: the within-batch level and the between-batch level. In each level, the Gaussian and non-Gaussian components of process information can be separately extracted. I2, T2 and SPE statistics are individually built and monitored. The new method facilitates fault diagnosis. Since the two variation levels are decomposed, the variables responsible for faults in each level can be identified and interpreted more easily. A case study of the Dupont benchmark process showed that the proposed method was more efficient and interpretable in fault detection and diagnosis, compared to the alternative batch process monitoring method.展开更多

In a growing number of information processing applications,data takes the form of continuous data streams rather than traditional stored databases.Monitoring systems that seek to provide monitoring services in cloud e...In a growing number of information processing applications,data takes the form of continuous data streams rather than traditional stored databases.Monitoring systems that seek to provide monitoring services in cloud environment must be prepared to deal gracefully with huge data collections without compromising system performance.In this paper,we show that by using a concept of urgent data,our system can shorten the response time for most 'urgent' queries while guarantee lower bandwidth consumption.We argue that monitoring data can be treated differently.Some data capture critical system events;the arrival of these data will significantly influence the monitoring reaction speed which is called urgent data.High speed urgent data collections can help system to react in real time when facing fatal errors.A cloud environment in production,MagicCube,is used as a test bed.Extensive experiments over both real world and synthetic traces show that when using urgent data,monitoring system can lower the response latency compared with existing monitoring approaches.展开更多

A case study from the western Himalayan Kullu District in Himachal Prade...Methods and techniques for the identification, monitoring and management of natural hazards in high mountain areas are enumerated and described. A case study from the western Himalayan Kullu District in Himachal Pradesh, India is used to illustrate some of the methods. Research on the general topic has been conducted over three decades and that in the Kullu District has been carried out since 1994. Early methods of hazards identification in high mountain areas involved intensive and lengthy fieldwork and mapping with primary reliance on interpretation of landforms, sediments and vegetation thought to be indicative of slope failures, rock falls, debris flows, floods and accelerated soil surface erosion. Augmented by the use of airphotos and ad hoc observations of specific events over time, these methods resulted in the gradual accumulation of information on hazardous sites and the beginnings of a chronology of occurrences in an area. The use of historical methods applied to written and photographic material, often held in archives and libraries, further improved the resolution of hazards information. In the past two decades, both the need for, and the ability to, accurately identify potential hazards have increased. The need for accurate information and monitoring comes about as a result of rapid growth in population, settlements, transportation infrastructure and intensified land uses and, therefore, risk and vulnerability in mountain areas. Ability has improved as the traditional methods of gathering and manipulating data have been supplemented by the use of remote sensing, automated terrain modeling, global positioning systems and geographical information systems. This paper focuses on the development and application of the latter methods and techniques to characterize and monitor hazards in high mountain areas.展开更多

The dynamic monitoring of landslides in engineering geology has focused on the correlation among landslide stability,rainwater infiltration,and subsurface hydrogeology.However,the understanding of this complicated cor...The dynamic monitoring of landslides in engineering geology has focused on the correlation among landslide stability,rainwater infiltration,and subsurface hydrogeology.However,the understanding of this complicated correlation is still poor and inadequate.Thus,in this study,we investigated a typical landslide in southwestern China via time-lapse electrical resistivity tomography(TLERT) in November 2013 and August 2014.We studied landslide mechanisms based on the spatiotemporal characteristics of surface water infiltration and flow within the landslide body.Combined with borehole data,inverted resistivity models accurately defined the interface between Quaternary sediments and bedrock.Preferential flow pathways attributed to fracture zones and fissures were also delineated.In addition,we found that surface water permeates through these pathways into the slipping mass and drains away as fissure water in the fractured bedrock,probably causing the weakly weathered layer to gradually soften and erode,eventually leading to a landslide.Clearly,TLERT dynamic monitoring can provide precursory information of critical sliding and can be used in landslide stability analysis and prediction.展开更多

文摘Threshold decision is an important function of nuclear instrument control system based on physical parameters threshold decision. Because the conventional decision methods lack correlation with time and conditions, by analyzing the existing methods, some optimized methods are adopted. Considering safety, those methods are improved in data processing algorithms, floating threshold with multiple values, association with specific working condition, etc. These measures im- prove the nuclear instrument control system in fault tolerance and fault diagnosis, especially, the shutdown number of nucle- ar power plant decreases.

文摘This paper deals with the synthesis of Petri net supervisor enforcing the more expressive constraints including marking terms, firing vector terms and Parikh vector terms. The method is developed to handle uncontrollable and unobservable transitions existing in the constraints. The “greater-than or equal” general constraints can also be transformed into “less-than or equal” Parikh constraints. An example is analyzed to show how the problem is solved. General constraint is first transformed into Parikh vector constraints, and Matrix-Transformation is proposed to obtain the admissible constraints without uncontrollable and unobservable transitions. Then the supervisor can be constructed based on constraints only consisting of Parikh vector terms. The method is proved to be more concise and effective than the method presented by Iordache and Moody especially when applied to large scale systems.

文摘To provide efficient monitoring of web service-based business processes, a web service proxy (WS- proxy) is developed to monitor business activities by monitoring the enactment of services. WS-proxy is deployed as an intermediary between internal business processes and external service providers, and it provides a single point of service access with the functions of message routing and content inspection. By using an XPath engine named WS-filter, performance indicators can be generated from service messages for assessing business performance. In the experiments, the feasibility of WS-proxy is verified and it achieves good performance in the monitoring work. The latency introduced by WS-proxy is only about 15% of the overall latency while extracting performance indicators just consumes less than one third of the processing time.

文摘In this paper, we describe a new batch process monitoring method based on multilevel independent component analysis and principal component analysis (MLICA-PCA). Unlike the conventional multi-way principal component analysis (MPCA) method, MLICA-PCA provides a separated interpretation for multilevel batch process data. Batch process data are partitioned into two levels: the within-batch level and the between-batch level. In each level, the Gaussian and non-Gaussian components of process information can be separately extracted. I2, T2 and SPE statistics are individually built and monitored. The new method facilitates fault diagnosis. Since the two variation levels are decomposed, the variables responsible for faults in each level can be identified and interpreted more easily. A case study of the Dupont benchmark process showed that the proposed method was more efficient and interpretable in fault detection and diagnosis, compared to the alternative batch process monitoring method.

文摘In this letter,Constructive Neural Networks (CNN) is used in large-scale data mining. By introducing the principle and characteristics of CNN and pointing out its deficiencies,fuzzy theory is adopted to improve the covering algorithms. The threshold of covering algorithms is redefined. "Extended area" for test samples is built. The inference of the outlier is eliminated. Furthermore,"Sphere Neighborhood (SN)" are constructed. The membership functions of test samples are given and all of the test samples are determined accordingly. The method is used to mine large wireless monitor data (about 3×107 data points),and knowledge is found effectively.

文摘In a growing number of information processing applications,data takes the form of continuous data streams rather than traditional stored databases.Monitoring systems that seek to provide monitoring services in cloud environment must be prepared to deal gracefully with huge data collections without compromising system performance.In this paper,we show that by using a concept of urgent data,our system can shorten the response time for most 'urgent' queries while guarantee lower bandwidth consumption.We argue that monitoring data can be treated differently.Some data capture critical system events;the arrival of these data will significantly influence the monitoring reaction speed which is called urgent data.High speed urgent data collections can help system to react in real time when facing fatal errors.A cloud environment in production,MagicCube,is used as a test bed.Extensive experiments over both real world and synthetic traces show that when using urgent data,monitoring system can lower the response latency compared with existing monitoring approaches.
文摘Methods and techniques for the identification, monitoring and management of natural hazards in high mountain areas are enumerated and described. A case study from the western Himalayan Kullu District in Himachal Pradesh, India is used to illustrate some of the methods. Research on the general topic has been conducted over three decades and that in the Kullu District has been carried out since 1994. Early methods of hazards identification in high mountain areas involved intensive and lengthy fieldwork and mapping with primary reliance on interpretation of landforms, sediments and vegetation thought to be indicative of slope failures, rock falls, debris flows, floods and accelerated soil surface erosion. Augmented by the use of airphotos and ad hoc observations of specific events over time, these methods resulted in the gradual accumulation of information on hazardous sites and the beginnings of a chronology of occurrences in an area. The use of historical methods applied to written and photographic material, often held in archives and libraries, further improved the resolution of hazards information. In the past two decades, both the need for, and the ability to, accurately identify potential hazards have increased. The need for accurate information and monitoring comes about as a result of rapid growth in population, settlements, transportation infrastructure and intensified land uses and, therefore, risk and vulnerability in mountain areas. Ability has improved as the traditional methods of gathering and manipulating data have been supplemented by the use of remote sensing, automated terrain modeling, global positioning systems and geographical information systems. This paper focuses on the development and application of the latter methods and techniques to characterize and monitor hazards in high mountain areas.

文摘Cooperative financing, with existing problems involving legal person man-agement and property supervision is highly demanded by farmers in China. It is fea-sible to explore a shareholding system to resolve the management mode issue of rural credit cooperatives in order to introduce investments, formulate the right struc-ture for rational stock and to establish effective monitoring mechanism for property right. Hence, information issuing would be reinforced and a rural credit cooperative would be established to be a modern financial enterprise with transparent property rights.

文摘The dynamic monitoring of landslides in engineering geology has focused on the correlation among landslide stability,rainwater infiltration,and subsurface hydrogeology.However,the understanding of this complicated correlation is still poor and inadequate.Thus,in this study,we investigated a typical landslide in southwestern China via time-lapse electrical resistivity tomography(TLERT) in November 2013 and August 2014.We studied landslide mechanisms based on the spatiotemporal characteristics of surface water infiltration and flow within the landslide body.Combined with borehole data,inverted resistivity models accurately defined the interface between Quaternary sediments and bedrock.Preferential flow pathways attributed to fracture zones and fissures were also delineated.In addition,we found that surface water permeates through these pathways into the slipping mass and drains away as fissure water in the fractured bedrock,probably causing the weakly weathered layer to gradually soften and erode,eventually leading to a landslide.Clearly,TLERT dynamic monitoring can provide precursory information of critical sliding and can be used in landslide stability analysis and prediction.

文摘A new real-time algorithm is proposed in this paperfor detecting moving object in color image sequencestaken from stationary cameras.This algorithm combines a temporal difference with an adaptive background subtraction where the combination is novel.Ⅷ1en changes OCCUr.the background is automatically adapted to suit the new conditions.Forthe background model,a new model is proposed with each frame decomposed into regions and the model is based not only upon single pixel but also on the characteristic of a region.The hybrid presentationincludes a model for single pixel information and a model for the pixel’s neighboring area information.This new model of background can both improve the accuracy of segmentation due to that spatialinformation is taken into account and salientl5r speed up the processing procedure because porlion of neighboring pixel call be selected into modeling.The algorithm was successfully used in a video surveillance systern and the experiment result showsit call obtain a clearer foreground than the singleframe difference or background subtraction method.
