A general modeling structure of the system is established. Based on concepts of cluster and closed ball, an algorithm is put forward for multi sensor multi target data fusion and an optimal solution for state estimation is presented. The simulation results prove the algorithm works well for the multi stationary target locating and the multi moving target tracking under the condition of the sparse target environment. Therefore, this method can be directly applied to the field artillery C 3I system.展开更多

Generally, the region-information-based approach is sensitive to illumination changes and small movement in the background, while the edge-information-based approach often obtains incorrect results for ambiguous images. The two types of information are introduced in computing the image force. Edge-information-based features make the algorithm fast and robust, and region information makes the active confour energy function obtains correct results for ambiguous images. Furthermore, an automatic contour initialization method using double difference images is given to meet the requirement of video sequence tracking. Meanwhile, a simple forecast section is added to estimate the position of the contour in the algorithm so that it can improve the convergence speed of the active contour. Experimental results show that the computation time of the algorithm is less than 0.1 s/frame. And it can be applied to a real-time system.展开更多
Unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)was introduced as a novel traffic device to collect road traffic information and its cruise route planning problem was considered.Firstly,a multi-objective optimization model was proposed a...Unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)was introduced as a novel traffic device to collect road traffic information and its cruise route planning problem was considered.Firstly,a multi-objective optimization model was proposed aiming at minimizing the total cruise distance and the number of UAVs used,which used UAV maximum cruise distance,the number of UAVs available and time window of each monitored target as constraints.Then,a novel multi-objective evolutionary algorithm was proposed.Next,a case study with three time window scenarios was implemented.The results show that both the total cruise distance and the number of UAVs used continue to increase with the time window constraint becoming narrower.Compared with the initial optimal solutions,the optimal total cruise distance and the number of UAVs used fall by an average of 30.93% and 31.74%,respectively.Finally,some concerns using UAV to collect road traffic information were discussed.展开更多

BIM is a design-oriented tool, which generates a virtual three-dimensional model of a ..."BIM (building information modeling)" and "sustainability" are two frequently used words in construction and academia today. BIM is a design-oriented tool, which generates a virtual three-dimensional model of a project. Sustainability refers to prudent use of earth's natural resources, and construction sustainability is the application of this principle to building activities. Societies in general and the construction industry in particular--one of the largest in terms of natural resources consumed and waste produced--place high hopes on BIM and the principles of sustainability to reduce consumption and waste and to increase industry productivity. BIM's capabilities and limitations, currently more focused on model creation and energy simulations, are not well understood as they relate to construction sustainability and its goals. No method yet exists to evaluate BIM's contribution comprehensively to construction sustainability goals. This study presents a construction sustainability goals contribution matrix for BIM. The matrix indicates that this contribution may be more limited than it is commonly thought.展开更多
To improve the robustness of the Low Earth Orbit(LEO) satellites networks and realise load balancing, a Cross-layer design and Ant-colony optimization based Load-balancing routing algorithm for LEO Satellite Networks(...To improve the robustness of the Low Earth Orbit(LEO) satellites networks and realise load balancing, a Cross-layer design and Ant-colony optimization based Load-balancing routing algorithm for LEO Satellite Networks(CAL-LSN) is proposed in this paper. In CALLSN, mobile agents are used to gather routing information actively. CAL-LSN can utilise the information of the physical layer to make routing decision during the route construction phase. In order to achieve load balancing, CALLSN makes use of a multi-objective optimization model. Meanwhile, how to take the value of some key parameters is discussed while designing the algorithm so as to improve the reliability. The performance is measured by the packet delivery rate, the end-to-end delay, the link utilization and delay jitter. Simulation results show that CAL-LSN performs well in balancing traffic load and increasing the packet delivery rate. Meanwhile, the end-to-end delay and delay jitter performance can meet the requirement of video transmission.展开更多
