To be specific, a source-destination (SD) pa...In order to enhance the physical-layer security of wireless transmission in a wireless heterogeneous network (HetNet), a two-stage-based cooperative framework is advocated. To be specific, a source-destination (SD) pair is opportunistically chosen at the beginning of the transmission slot, which can be used to assist the transmissions of other SD pairs. Under this framework, a transmit antenna selection assisted opportunistic SD pair scheduling (TAS-OSDS) scheme is proposed, and the intercept probability (IP) of the proposed TAS-OSDS, the conventional round-robin source-destination pair scheduling (RSDS) and the conventional non-cooperation (non-coop) schemes is also analyzed, where the RSDS and non-coop schemes are used for comparison with the proposed TAS-OSDS. Numerical results show that increasing the number of the SD pairs can effectively reduce the IP of the TAS-OSDS scheme, whereas the IP of the RSDS and the non-coop remain unchanged with an increasing number of the SD pairs. Furthermore, the TAS-OSDS scheme achieves a lower IP than that of the RSDS and the non-coop schemes, showing the superiority of the proposed TAS-OSDS.展开更多

This paper discusses the definition and connotation of Theme Shopping Tourism(TST) destination,and reveals the attractive distance of TST destination based on the utility function derived from the supposed demand func...This paper discusses the definition and connotation of Theme Shopping Tourism(TST) destination,and reveals the attractive distance of TST destination based on the utility function derived from the supposed demand function.An attractive model is deduced.According to this attractive model,it is can be known that the attractive distance is related to the price difference of the theme commodities between TST destination and tourist origin place,the average expenditure of transport,the demand elasticity of price,the actual price of sightseeing spot,the critical price that a tourist will afford,the number of nights that a tourist stays on the TST destination and the price level of accommodation in the TST destination.The change mechanism of attractive distance of TST destinations is revealed in this paper,and implications on TST marketing are put forward.First,theme commodities should be luxuries.Second,lower price is the primary pulling factor of theme shopping tourism.Third,the route combining with sightseeing spots is beneficial to shopping tourism.At last,TST development is one way of rejuvenating the falling destinations.展开更多

The study area--Pull area--is a place to stop along the way to the two most popular international des...The purpose of this research is to explore the influence of transportation revolution on local tourism development. The study area--Pull area--is a place to stop along the way to the two most popular international destinations--Sun Moon Lake and Qing-Jing Farm of Central Taiwan. Pull area once was the tourism community providing dining and accommodation facilities for the travelers heading to the two international destinations, but since the availability of National Highway 6 more efficiently connects to National Highway 1 to the public, travelers get to the two international destinations becoming easier. Pull area definitely transformed its nodal function of tourism, and further reconstructed the new spatial relationships among the travel nodes of destinations after the transportation revolution. In this research, the author termed this phenomenon of travel nodes of secondary nodes or primary nodes emerging on rapidly in tourism development after transportation revolution to ＂vine effect＂.展开更多

As it is 'Advanced English', it certainly has brought some difficulties to our teaching. Some teachers feel it hard to teach the book in a communicative approach and so most of the time in class, the teacher talks. Even if there are questions and answers in class, they are often dull and passive, not dynamic. Consequently, the class gets so boring that students think the book impractical and useless. To be a successful teacher of Advanced English , I think we should have some clear and specific focuses in our teaching to ensure the communicative approach. This paper exemplifies the application of the effective focuses in order to evoke instructional conversation and exchange of ideas and emotions through language.展开更多
