In order to improve the bias stability of the micro-electro mechanical system(MEMS) gyroscope and reduce the impact on the bias from environmental temperature,a digital signal processing method is described for improving the accuracy of the drive phase in the gyroscope drive mode.Through the principle of bias signal generation,it can be concluded that the deviation of the drive phase is the main factor affecting the bias stability.To fulfill the purpose of precise drive phase control,a digital signal processing circuit based on the field-programmable gate array(FPGA) with the phase-lock closed-loop control method is described and a demodulation method for phase error suppression is given.Compared with the analog circuit,the bias drift is largely reduced in the new digital circuit and the bias stability is improved from 60 to 19 °/h.The new digital control method can greatly increase the drive phase accuracy,and thus improve the bias stability. 展开更多

We propose and analyze a novel Si-based electro-optic modulator with an improved metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS) capacitor configuration integrated into silicon-on-insulator (SOl). Three gate-oxide layers embedded in the silicon waveguide constitute a triple MOS capacitor structure, which boosts the modulation efficiency compared with a single MOS capacitor. The simulation results demonstrate that the Vπ Lπ product is 2. 4V · cm. The rise time and fall time of the proposed device are calculated to be 80 and 40ps from the transient response curve, respectively,indicating a bandwidth of 8GHz. The phase shift efficiency and bandwidth can be enhanced by rib width scaling. 展开更多

A 2GHz differentially tuned CMOS monolithic LC-VCO is designed and fabricated in a 0.18μm CMOS process. The VCO has a 16.15% tuning range (from 1. 8998 to 2. 2335GHz) through a combination of analog and digital tuning techniques (4-bit binary switch-capacitor array). The measured phase noise is - 118.17dBc/Hz at a 1MHz offset from a 2. 158GHz carrier. With the presented improved switch,the phase noise varies no more than 3dB at different digital control bits. The phase noise changes only by about 2dB in the tuning range because of the pn-junctions as the varactors. The VCO draws a current of about 2. lmA from a 1.8V power supply and works normally with a 1.5V power supply. 展开更多

A new partitioning methodology is presented to accelerate 130nm and beyond large scale alternating phase shift mask(Alt PSM) design flow.This method deals with granularity self adaptively.Phase conflicts resolution approaches are described and strategies guaranteeing phase compatible during layout compaction are also discussed.An efficient CAD prototype for dark field Alt PSM based on these algorithms is implemented.The experimental results on several industry layouts show that the tool can successfully cope with the rapid growth of phase conflicts with good quality and satisfy lower resource consumption with different requirements of precision and speedup. 展开更多

This paper introduces a novel digital transceiver for the cordless telephone zero (CT0) standard,which uses a digital modulation and demodulation technique to handle the signal instead of the traditional analog meth-od. In the transmitter,a fractional-N phase locked loop (PLL) is utilized to realize the continuous phase frequency shift key (CPFSK) modulation,and a 2 Ts raised cosine (2RC) shaping technique is used to reduce the occupied bandwidth. In the receiver,a novel digital method is proposed to demodulate the 2RC CPFSK signal. This chip is fabricated using an SMIC 0.35μm mixed signal CMOS process with a die size of 2mm × 2mm. With an external low noise amplifier (LNA),the sensitivity of the chip is better than -103dBm. 展开更多

In this paper, direct sequence spread spectrum multiple access (DS/SSMA) communication system employing serially concatenated trellis coded modulation (TCM) and continuous phase modulation (CPM) over flat Rayleigh fading channel are presented. The performance of this concatenated TCM/CPM DS/SSMA system is exploited by the theoretical analysis and numerical simulations. The results demonstrate that significant improvements in error probability of this DS/SSMA system over the system with single TCM or CPM of different modulation indices can be achieved under the same conditions. 展开更多

By injecting the compensation current into the passive loop filter during the delay time of the phase frequency detector(PFD),a maximum reduction of the phase noise by about 16dB can be achieved. Compared to other compensation methods,the technique proposed here is relatively simple and easy to implement. Key building blocks for realizing the noise cancellation,including the delay variable PFD and compensation current source, are specially designed. All-optical regeneration based on self-phase modulation in microstructured fibers is studied. The effects of pulse peak power into the fiber, pulse width and filter parameters on the performance of the regenerator are investigated. The effects of normal dispersion and anomalous dispersion of the microstructured fiber on optical regeneration are compared. The nu- merical results show that optical regeneration can be achieved by using microstructured fibers with normal dispersion or anomalous dispersion, but the normal dispersion decreases the oscillatory structure in the broadened spectra and obtain a better regenerator transfer function. In order to achieve optical regeneration, the input peak power into the microstructured fiber and the filter parameters need to meet certain requirements. By optimizing those parameters, a better regeneration result can be obtained. 展开更多

Self-diffraction appears when the strong laser goes through two-dimensional material suspension,and this spatial self-phase modulation(SPPM)phenomenon can be used to measure nonlinear optical parameters and achieve optical switch.At present,the mechanism of SPPM is still ambiguous.The debate mainly focuses on whether the phenomenon is caused by the nonlinear refractive index of the two-dimensional material or the thermal effect of the laser.The lack of theory limits the dimension of the phase modulation to the radius of the diffraction ring and the vertical imbalance.Therefore,it is urgent to establish a unified and universal SSPM theoretical system of two-dimensional material. 展开更多

The electro-hydraulic servo system was studied to cancel the amplitude attenuation and phase delay of its sinusoidal response,by developing a network using normalized least-mean-square (LMS) adaptive filtering algorithm.The command input was corrected by weights to generate the desired input for the algorithm,and the feedback was brought into the feedback correction,whose output was the weighted feedback.The weights of the normalized LMS adaptive filtering algorithm were updated on-line according to the estimation error between the desired input and the weighted feedback.Thus,the updated weights were copied to the input correction.The estimation error was forced to zero by the normalized LMS adaptive filtering algorithm such that the weighted feedback was equal to the desired input,making the feedback track the command.The above concept was used as a basis for the development of amplitude phase control.The method has good real-time performance without estimating the system model.The simulation and experiment results show that the proposed amplitude phase control can efficiently cancel the amplitude attenuation and phase delay with high precision. 展开更多

The proposed algorithm can greatly reduce the state number,thus leads to the computation complexity reduction. It also minimizes the degradation in Euclidean distance with decision feedback in the reduced state trellis.
