In order to explore the possible diffusion distance of carbon during proeutectoid ferrite transformation, a slow cooling test of low carbon steel was carried out under vacuum of the thermal simulator. The microstructure and thermal expansion curve were discussed and the carbon concentration inside the sample was measured. The ferrite layer of about 450 μm thickness was obtained without pearlite on the surface of the sample in the microstructure. The thermal expansion curve shows that the ferrite layer without pearlite is formed during the local phase transformation, which is followed by the global transformation. The carbon concentration in the core of the sample (0.061%) is significantly higher than that of the bulk material (0.054%). All results show that carbon has long-range diffusion from the outer layer to the inner layer of the sample. The transformation is predominantly interface-controlled mode during local transformation, and the interface migration rate is about 2.25 μm/s. 展开更多

Here we give a detailed scheme for realizing a modified Grover search algorithm using measurements on cluster state. We give the measurement pattern for the cluster-state realization of the algorithm and estimated the number of measurement needed for its implementation. It is found that O(2^3n/^2n^2) number of single qubit measurements is required for its realization in a cluster-state quantum computer. 展开更多

A comprehensive study on the role of the phase errors distribution on the performances of the phased array systems has been led using a complete and behavioral model for radiation-pattern characteristics. The used model has many input parameters and it has a lot of features, such as parameters simulations with results analysis, unconventional two-dimensional color graph representation capability in order to show more clearly the results. The results of the study have been discussed and reported. The main achievement of this work is the demonstration that the RMS phase error is a valuable figure of merit of phased array systems but it is not sufficient to completely describe the behavior of a real system. Indeed, this work has shown how the phase errors distribution actually affects the performances of the phased arrays antennas. 展开更多
