A field study on the behavior of three destructive piles in soft soils subjected to axial load was presented.All the three piles with different diameters were base-grouted and installed with strain gauges along the pi...A field study on the behavior of three destructive piles in soft soils subjected to axial load was presented.All the three piles with different diameters were base-grouted and installed with strain gauges along the piles.The complete load transfer behavior of the base-grouted pile was analyzed using measured results.Moreover,the thresholds of the relative pile-soil displacement for fully mobilizing skin frictions in different soils were investigated,and pile tip displacements needed to fully mobilize tip resistances were analyzed.The results of the full-scale loading tests show that the skin frictions are close to the ultimate values when the pile-soil relative displacements are 1%-3% of pile diameter,and the pile tip displacements needed to fully mobilize the tip resistances are about 1.3%-2.0% of pile diameter.The load transmission curve of the soils around the pile tip corresponds to a softening model when the pile is loaded to failure.展开更多

In this method we introduce the idea of a stratified phase shift migration into the split-step Fourier (SSF) migration to make an accurate and efficient wave field image when sharp discontinuities appear in the velocity field. In principle, the ASDSSF migration is a multi-reference slowness (reciprocal of velocity) (MRS) migration. Compared to previous MRS migration methods, this method uses fewer reference slowness values without accuracy loss. The reference slowness is determined in this paper according to an error-control parameter of the perturbation term in the SSF operator and the variation of the complet velocity field. The velocity corresponded to reference slowness can define a spatial division. Each division can also be divided into several discontinuous spatial subdivisions to effectively reduce the number of reference slowness values needed. The choice of reference slowness, including the number of reference slowness values needed and how to construct the spatial divisions, is adaptive and reasonable at each extrapolation step (depth step). A simple and economical smoothing filter in the wave number-frequency domain is designed to avoid artifacts in the wave field extrapolation due to the presence of sharp discontinuities in the velocity field. For comparable conditions the present approach to migration is expected to be computationally more efficient and accurate than other MRS migration methods. The performance of the method is demonstrated on a simple 2D prestack model and the prestack SEG/EAEG salt dataset.展开更多

Above all,a cross-layer optimization model is designed,which considers transmission delay and wavelength-continuity constraint,as well as Doppler wavelength shift. Then CL-DRWA is applied to solve this model,resulting in finding an optimal light path satisfying the above constraints for every connection request. In CL-DRWA,Bellman-Ford method is used to find an optimal route and a distributed relative capacity loss method is implemented to get an optimal wavelength assignment result on the optimal route. Moreover,compared with the dynamic routing and wavelength assignment algorithm based on minimum delay strategy( MD-DRWA),CL-DRWA can make an improvement of 5. 3% on the communication success probability. Soil spatial variability is difficult to evaluate due to insufficient test data.An alternative option is estimation by indirect methods such as inverse analysis.In this paper,two examples are presented to demonstrate ...Soil spatial variability is difficult to evaluate due to insufficient test data.An alternative option is estimation by indirect methods such as inverse analysis.In this paper,two examples are presented to demonstrate the capability and accuracy of the probabilistic estimation method to characterize soil spatial variability with displacement responses.The first example is a soil slope subject to a surcharge load,in which the spatially varied field of the elastic modulus is estimated with displacements.The results show that estimations based on horizontal displacements were more accurate than those based on vertical displacements.The accuracy of the estimated field was substantially reduced by increasing variance of elastic modulus.However,the estimation was generally acceptable as the error was not more than 10%,even for the high variance case(COV^l.5).The accuracy of estimation was also affected by the type of covariance function and the correlation length.When the correlation length decreased,the accuracy of estimation was reduced.The second example is a validation of laboratory model tests where a horizontal load was applied on a layered ground.The estimated thicknesses of soil layers were close to those in the real situation,which demonstrates the capacity of the estimation method.展开更多

A novel prediction network composed of some chaotic operators is proposed to predict the wind speed series.Training samples are constructed by the theory of phase space reconstruction.Genetic algorithm is adopted to o...A novel prediction network composed of some chaotic operators is proposed to predict the wind speed series.Training samples are constructed by the theory of phase space reconstruction.Genetic algorithm is adopted to optimize the control parameters of chaotic operators to change the dynamic characteristic of the network to approach to the predicted system.In this way,the dynamic prediction of wind speed series can be completed.The wind acceleration series can also be predicted by the same network.And the prediction results of both series can be fused by Kalman Filter to get the optimal estimation prediction result of the wind speed series,which is superior to the result obtained by each single method.Simulation results show that the prediction network has less computation cost than BP neural network,and it has better prediction performance than BP neural network and autoregressive integrated moving average model.Kalman Filter can improve the prediction performance further.展开更多
