The structures of the as-cast and spun alloys were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM). The effects of Nd content and spinning rate on the structures and hydrogen storage kinetics of the alloys were investigated. The results show that the as-spun Nd-free alloy displays an entire nanocrystalline structure, whereas the as-spun Nd-added alloys hold nanocrystalline and amorphous structures, suggesting that the addition of Nd facilitates the glass forming of the alloys. Both the Nd-addition and the melt spinning significantly improve the gaseous and electrochemical hydrogen storage kinetics of the alloys. The addition of Nd and melt spinning enhance the diffusion ability of hydrogen atoms in the alloy, but both of them impair the charge-transfer reaction on the surface of the alloy electrode, which makes the high rate discharge ability(HRD) of the alloy electrode first mount up and then go down with the growing Nd content and spinning rate.展开更多

The characterization of electrode alloys by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) shows that all the as-cast and the annealed alloys hold two major phases of (La,Mg)2Ni7 and LaNi5 as well as a residual phase of LaNi3. Moreover, the increase of La/Mg ratio brings on a decline of (La,Mg)2Ni7 phase and a rise of LaNi5 and LaNi3 phases. The variation of La/Mg ratio gives rise to an evident change of the electrochemical performances of the alloys. The discharge capacities of the as-cast and the annealed alloys evidently decrease with growing the La/Mg ratio, while the cycle stabilities of the alloys visibly augment under the same condition. Furthermore, the high rate discharge ability (HRD), the electrochemical impedance spectrum (EIS), the Tafel polarization curves, and the potential step measurements all indicate that the electrochemical kinetic properties of the alloy electrodes increase with the La/Mg ratio rising.展开更多

The densification of the compacts and the microstructures of the prepared alloys were studied. The results demonstrate that the liquid phase is formed around 1300 ℃ and nearly full densification is obtained at 1450 ℃ for 5 min via microwave irradiation. The microstructures of microwave sintered samples have finer and more uniform WC grains than those of vacuum sintered samples. Besides, the WC grain size and distribution are only decided by the sintering temperature. Holding time has negligible effects on them. No matter how holding time is, the mean grain size is 2.7 pan when the sintering temperature is kept at 1450 ℃.展开更多

The sintering process for sintered wic...Miniature cylindrical metal powder sintered wick heat pipe (sintered heat pipe) is an ideal component with super-high thermal efficiency for high heat flux electronics cooling. The sintering process for sintered wick is important for its quality. The sintering process was optimally designed based on the equation of the heat transfer limit of sintered heat pipe. Four-step sintering process was proposed to fabricate sintered wick. The sintering parameters including sintering temperature, sintering time, sintering atmosphere and sintering position were discussed. The experimental results showed that the proper sintering temperature was 950 ℃ for Cu powder of 159μm and 900 ℃ for Cu powders of 81 and 38 μm, respectively, while the wick thickness was 0.45 mm and sintering time was 3 h. The optimized sintering time was 3 h for 0.45 and 0.6 mm wick thickness and 1 h for 0.75 mm wick thickness, respectively, when copper powder diameter was 159μm and sintering temperature was 950 ℃. Redox reduction reaction between H2 and CuO during sintering could produce segmentation cracks in Cu powders as a second structure. Sintering at vertical position can effectively avoid the generation of gap between wick and the inner wall of pipe.展开更多

The effect of Sc content on the precipitation of Al3(Sc,Zr) during heat treatment at 475 °C for 12 h was studied. Nucleation, precipitation and distribution of Al3(Sc,Zr) precipitates were found to be strongly related to the Sc content. With increasing the Sc content, the average radius of the precipitates decreases, while the number density of the precipitates increases, as investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The distribution of the precipitates becomes more and more homogeneous when the Sc content is increased. The recrystallization resistance of samples that was 90% cold rolled and isothermal annealed for half an hour in the temperature range of 200-600 °C was investigated. The results show that the recrystallization temperature varies from 250 °C for the alloy without Sc to about 600 °C for the alloy containing 0.15% Sc because of the high density of Al3(Sc,Zr) precipitates.展开更多

All alloys consist of a single LaNi5 phase with CaCu5 structure, and the lattice constant a and the cell volume (V) of the LaNi5 phase increase with increasing x value. The maximum discharge capacity gradually decreases from 319.0 mA?h/g (x=0) to 291.9 mA?h/g (x=0.20) with the increase in x value. The high-rate dischargeability at the discharge current density of 1200 mA/g decreases monotonically from 53.1% (x=0) to 44.2% (x=0.20). The cycling stability increases with increasing x from 0 to 0.20, which is mainly ascribed to the improvement of the pulverization resistance.展开更多

The results show that the main phases are S(Al2CuMg), T(Al2Mg3Zn3) and Mg Zn2, with a small amount of Al7Cu2 Fe and Al3 Zr in the as-cast 7X50 alloy. The volume fraction of the dendritic-network structure and residual phase decreases gradually during the homogenization. After homogenization at 470 °C for 24 h and then 482 °C for 12 h, the T(Al2Mg3Zn3) phase disappears and minimal S(Al2CuMg) phase remains, while almost no change has happened for Al7Cu2 Fe. There is a strong endothermic peak at 477.8 °C in the DSC curve of as-cast alloy. A new endothermic peak appears at 487.5 °C for the sample homogenized at 470 °C for 1 h. However, this endothermic peak disappears after being homogenized at 482 °C for 24 h. The T(Al2Mg3Zn3) phase cannot be observed by XRD, which is consistent with that T phase is the associated one of S(Al2CuMg) phase and Mg Zn2 phase. The volume fraction of recrystallized grains is substantially less in the plate with pre-homogenization treatment. The strength and fracture toughness of the plate with pre-homogenization treatment are about 15 MPa and 3.3 MPa·m1/2 higher than those of the material with conventional homogenization treatment.展开更多

文摘Al-doped ZnO (AZO) target was prepared by hot pressing using ZnO and Al2O3 powder in mass ratio of 98:2.The effects of hot pressing conditions including temperature, pressure and preserving time on relative density were investigated.Pore evolution and phase structure change during densification process were studied. The results show that AZO target with super high relative density of 99% was prepared by two-stage hot pressing method under pressure of 35MPa,temperature of 1 050℃ and 1 150℃ with preserving time of 1 h,respectively. At temperature around 1 050℃,the number of isolated pore wasminimum. At temperature lower than 900℃,there existed Al2O3 phase. At temperature higher than 1 000℃,ZnAl2O4 phase was generated and its content was increased with temperature increasing.Hot pressing method had the advantage over pressureless sintering that the content of ZnAl2O4 was lower and sintering temperature could be also lower. With increasing the hot pressing temperature and preserving time, the electric resistivity of AZO target decreased greatly.A low resistivity of 3 10-3 cm was achieved under the temperature of 1 100℃,pressure of 35MPa and preserving time of 10 h.

文摘The(Mg24Ni10Cu2)100-x Nd x(x=0, 5, 10, 15, 20) alloys with nanocrystalline and amorphous structures were prepared by melt spinning technology. The addition of Nd and melt spinning enhance the diffusion ability of hydrogen atoms in the alloy, but both of them impair the charge-transfer reaction on the surface of the alloy electrode, which makes the high rate discharge ability(HRD) of the alloy electrode first mount up and then go down with the growing Nd content and spinning rate.

文摘In order to investigate the influences of the stoichiometric ratio of La/Mg (increasing La and decreasing Mg on the same mole ratio) on the structure and electrochemical performances of the La-Mg-Ni-based A2B7-type electrode alloy, the as-cast and the annealed ternary Lao.8+xMgo.2_xNi3.5 (x=0-0.05) electrode alloys were prepared. Furthermore, the high rate discharge ability (HRD), the electrochemical impedance spectrum (EIS), the Tafel polarization curves, and the potential step measurements all indicate that the electrochemical kinetic properties of the alloy electrodes increase with the La/Mg ratio rising.

文摘WC-8Co cemented carbide samples were processed via microwave irradiation in a 2.45 GHz, high-power multi-mode microwave cavity. No matter how holding time is, the mean grain size is 2.7 pan when the sintering temperature is kept at 1450 ℃.

文摘Miniature cylindrical metal powder sintered wick heat pipe (sintered heat pipe) is an ideal component with super-high thermal efficiency for high heat flux electronics cooling. Sintering at vertical position can effectively avoid the generation of gap between wick and the inner wall of pipe.

文摘Al-x%Sc-0.11%Zr alloys (x=0, 0.02, 0.05, 0.08, 0.11, 0.15) were produced by a chill cast procedure. The results show that the recrystallization temperature varies from 250 °C for the alloy without Sc to about 600 °C for the alloy containing 0.15% Sc because of the high density of Al3(Sc,Zr) precipitates.

文摘La0.7Ce0.3Ni3.75Mn0.35Al0.15Cu0.75-xFex (x=0-0.20) hydrogen storage alloys were synthesized by induction melting and subsequent annealing treatment, and phase structure and electrochemical characteristics were investigated. The cycling stability increases with increasing x from 0 to 0.20, which is mainly ascribed to the improvement of the pulverization resistance.

文摘The evolution of the eutectic structures in the as-cast and homogenized 7X50 aluminum alloys was studied by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS), differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and tensile test. The strength and fracture toughness of the plate with pre-homogenization treatment are about 15 MPa and 3.3 MPa·m1/2 higher than those of the material with conventional homogenization treatment.

文摘In order to develop the liquid phase sintering process of WC-Ni3Al-B composites, the preparation process of WC+Ni3Al prealloyed powder by reaction synthesis of carbonyl Ni,analytical purity Al and coarse WC powders was investigated.DSC and XRD were adopted to study the procedure of phase transformation for the 3Ni+Al and 70%WC+(3Ni+Al) mixed powders in temperature ranges of 550-1200 °C and 25-1400 °C,respectively. The results demonstrate that the formation mechanism of Ni3Al depends on the reaction temperature.Besides WC phase, there exist Ni2Al3,NiAl and Ni3Al intermetallics in the powder mixture after heat treatment at 200-660 °C,while only NiAl and Ni3Al exist at 660-1100 °C.Homogeneous WC+Ni3Al powder mixture can be obtained in the temperature range of 1100-1200 °C.The WC-30%(Ni3Al-B) composites prepared from the mixed powders by conventional powder metallurgy technology show nearly full density and the shape of WC is round.WC-30%(Ni3Al-B) composites exhibit higher hardness of 9.7 GPa,inferior bending strength of 1800 MPa and similar fracture toughness of 18 MPa-m1/2 compared with commercial cemented carbides YGR45(WC-30%(Co-Ni-Cr)).

文摘First-principles calculations were carried out to investigate the structural stabilities and electronic properties of RhZr.The plane wave based pseudopotential method was used,in which both the local density approximation(LDA) and the generalized gradient approximation(GGA) implanted in the CASTEP code were employed. The internal positions of atoms in the unit cell were optimized and the ground state properties such as lattice parameter, density of state, cohesive energies and enthalpies of formation of ortho-RhZr and cubic-RhZr were calculated. The calculation results indicate that ortho-RhZr can form more easily than cubic-RhZr and the ortho-RhZr is more stable than cubic-RhZr.The density of states(DOS) reveals that the strong bonding in the Rh-Zr and Rh-Rh or Zr-Zr interaction chains accounts for the structural stability of ortho-RhZr and the hybridization between Rh-4d states and Zr-4d states is strong.
