To investigate the process optimizationof Cu-en/AP composite microspheres preparation via electrostatic spraying,and to reveal the effects of droplet properties and flow rate variations on the experimental results dur...To investigate the process optimizationof Cu-en/AP composite microspheres preparation via electrostatic spraying,and to reveal the effects of droplet properties and flow rate variations on the experimental results during the electrostatic spraying process,the prepared process parameters of Cu-en/AP composite microspheres by electrostatic spray method under the orthogonal experimental design simulated by ANSYS(Fluent).The influence of flow rate,solvent ratio,and solid mass on the experimental results is examined using a controlled variable method.The results indicate that under the conditions of a flow rate of 2.67×10^(-3)kg/s an acetone-to-deionized water ratio of 1.5∶1.0,and a solid mass of 200 mg,the theoretical particle size of the composite microspheres can reach e nanoscale.Droplet trajectories in the electric field remain stable without significant deviation.The simulation results show that particle diameter decreases with increasing flow rate,with the trend leveling off around a flow rate of 1×10^(-3)kg/s.As the solvent ratio increases(with higher acetone content),particle diameter initially decreases,reaching a minimum around a ratio of 1.5∶1.0 before gradually increasing.Increasing the solid mass also reduces the particle diameter,with a linear increase in diameter observed at around 220 mg.Cu-en/AP composite microspheres with nanoscale dimensions were confirmed under these conditions by the final SEM images.展开更多

[ Metho...[ Objective] The research aimed to study effects of material physical properties on white-rot fungi mycelial growth and provide theoretical basis for further expanding the application range of white-rot fungi. [ Method Four common species of white-rot fungi were cultivated by wood meal fowl dung mixture in test tube and culture dishes. The relationship between physical properties of culture material and the growth of these mycelials were studied. [Result] The results showed the water retention capacity of culture material was decreased with the increasing of its grain size and porosity, but the decrease of its specific gravity reduced the material water retention. And the dehydration rate of medium prepared with these materials at the same moisture conditions tended to increase. These physical properties of material, such as grain size, specific gravity, porosity, water retention and water drainage, influenced the growth of white-rot fungi mycelial by affecting the moisture and ventilation condition of media. The results hinted that above material physical properties had feedback effects on the growth of white-rot fungi mycelia. [ Conclution] Physical properties of culture material have significant effects on the growth of white-rot fungi mycelial.展开更多

As the mainline green starts randomly in vehicle-actuated signal systems, the random theory is applied to obtain the distribution of the unused green time at side streets based on the green gap-out mechanism. Then, the green start time of the mainline can be selected at the point with maximum probability to minimize the delays or stops caused by the randomly started mainline green. A case study in Maine, USA, whose traffic conditions are similar to those of the middle-size Chinese cities, proves that the proposed method can significantly reduce the travel time and delays.展开更多

The influence of the certain specific vacuum pre-oxidation process on the phase transformation of thermally-grown oxides(TGO) was studied.The CoCrAlY high temperature corrosion resistance coatings were produced onto...The influence of the certain specific vacuum pre-oxidation process on the phase transformation of thermally-grown oxides(TGO) was studied.The CoCrAlY high temperature corrosion resistance coatings were produced onto the nickel-based superalloy substrate by high velocity oxygen fuel(HVOF).It suggests that the TGO usually consists of a great number of chromium oxides,cobalt oxides and spinel oxides besides alumina during the initial period of the high temperature oxidation if the specimens are not subjected to the appropriate vacuum pre-oxidation process.Furthermore,the amount of alumina is strongly dependent on the partial pressure of oxygen;while the CoCr2O4 spinel oxides are usually formed under the conditions of higher partial pressure of oxygen during the initial period and the lower partial pressure of oxygen during the subsequent period of the isothermal oxidation.After the appropriate vacuum pre-oxidation process,the TGO is mainly composed of alumina that contains lower Y element,while alumina that contains higher Y element sporadically distributes,and the spinel oxides cannot be found.After a longer period of the isothermal oxidation,a small amount of porous CoCr2O4 and the chrome oxide sporadically distribute near the continuous alumina.Additionally,after the appropriate vacuum pre-oxidation process,the TGO growth rate is relatively slow.展开更多

Results show that 1) the attenuation characteristics of stress waves were related to the material proper-ties, stress waves attenuate more quickly in soft material and 2) when the explosion load was applied at the top of the roadway, the number and the length of the cracks increased with a decrease in the distance between the explosive point and roof of the roadway. When the distance was 280 mm, only some chips appeared near the source, when the distance was 210 mm, some small cracks started to appear near the road-rib and when the distance was reduced to 140 mm, larger cracks appeared at the road-rib. It can be concluded that, under a given stress the number of cracks is closely related to the intensity of stress waves. The cracks in the sur-rounding rock can be reduced by controlling the intensity of the stress waves and rock bursts can be avoided to some extent by pre-venting the formation of layered crack structures. A new experimental approach has been provided for studying rock bursts by using physical simulation.展开更多

Mic...GW63K (Mg-6Gd-3Y-0.5Zr) magnesium alloys were prepared successfully by high-vacuum die-casting. Effects of fast shot speed and vacuum level on the grain size and mechanical properties of this alloy were studied. Microstructure of the alloys was analyzed by SEM, EDX and optical microscope (OM). The effect of heat treatment on high vacuum die-casting (HVDC) GW63K alloy was also studied. The results indicate that with the increase of fast velocity, the tensile yield strength hardly changes, but the elongation first increases, then decreases. The optimum heat treatment process is solution treatment at 748 K for 2 h and aging at 473 K for 80 h. Under this condition, GW63K magnesium alloy exhibits a maximum tensile strength and elongation of 308 MPa and 9.45%. There is significant correlation between ductility and the presence of external solidified cells (ESCs). The as-cast GW63K alloy consists ofα-Mg and Mg24(Gd,Y)5 particles. After heat treatment, Gd and Y atoms dissolve intoα-Mg matrix.展开更多

Ironically, however, in a media landscape with a variety of news providers competing for audiences and tr...For a young, media savvy, radically globalized generation, television as a platform for news has lost momentum. Ironically, however, in a media landscape with a variety of news providers competing for audiences and trust, television news parodies like The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report attract new audiences as they seem to fill a gap. They succeed not only in entertaining and informing (even educating) a previously "deactivated", relatively young target audience, but also in initiating activism by using old and new (social) media. How can it be that a comedy show succeeds in promoting reason and gets young people to stand up for more sanity in politics and culture? In the sense that, in this case, critical (subversive) practice comes fxom within the mainstream, is television, as the platform that has been criticized for "dumbing down" audiences (cf. Postman 1985), actually becoming the solution for commitment7 In this constellation, what is the role of self-determined (intrinsic) and acquired (extrinsic) practices in relation to mobilized practices and practices determined by other factors? And how do they work differently in comparison to the subversive practices of tactical media and media activism that question the methods of biopower? This paper examines several responses to the (more and less serious) calls for action of the two shows and discusses their delicate role as entertainers, watchdogs, and activists for reason, sanity, and what is left of truth in the media. The dynamic mechanical properties of rock specimens after thermal treatment in the air-filled environment(AE:i.e.,at the free surface)have been extensively investigated,yet they are rarely estimated in the quasi-vacuu...The dynamic mechanical properties of rock specimens after thermal treatment in the air-filled environment(AE:i.e.,at the free surface)have been extensively investigated,yet they are rarely estimated in the quasi-vacuum environment(VE:i.e.,far from free surface),which is of special importance in engineering practice.Several precise laboratory tests(i.e.,split Hopkinson pressure bar test)on marble samples in both AE and VE were performed to investigate physical and dynamic mechanical behaviors of marble after heat treatment(25℃ to 900℃)in AE and VE.The tests results demonstrate that related properties of marble could be divided into three different stages by corresponding critical temperatures of 300℃ and 600℃,at which heat damage factors are 0.29(0.30)and 0.88(0.92)in VE(AE),respectively.The thermal damage developes more fully in AE than in VE.The thermal environment plays an important role,especially in Stage 3.Specifically,a conspicuous difference(greater than 20%)between AE and VE occurs in corresponding dynamic strength and the anti-deformation capacities of tested marble specimen.The influence of heat damage of rock is very important and valuable in engineering practice,particularly when the temperature is very high(greater than 600℃).展开更多

By experiment with aerial photographs and Landsat TM data, accuracy of spectral, spatial, and combined classification results was evaluated. It was confirmed that the incorporation of spatial information in spectral classification increases accuracy significantly. Secondly, through test with a 5-class and a 3-class classification schemes, it was revealed that setting a proper semantic framework for classification is fundamental to any endeavors of categorical mapping and the most important factor affecting accuracy. Lastly, this paper promotes non-parametric methods for both definition of class membership profiling based on band-specific histograms of image intensities and derivation of spatial probability via indicator kriging, a non-parametric geostatistical technique.展开更多

Initially, the article focuses on the development of the Church's doctr...The article highlights the guiding principles which make the Conciliar Declaration Dignitatis Humanae so outstanding and prophetic in character. Initially, the article focuses on the development of the Church's doctrine from a position of "error has no rights" to one where elements of truth are recognised in other religions. The questions addressed include the foundational principles of religious freedom, its limitations, as well as the positive attitudes embraced in its exercise. The article touches upon the role of the initially ~'disinvited" John Courtney Murray (1904-1967) and the unique contribution of Pietro Pavan (1903-1994) to the Declaration, as well as the evaluation made upon it by Ladislas 0rsy (b.1921) and Robert Drinan (1920-2007). With the publication of Dignitatis Humanae, the Church took a quantum leap which allowed it to gain a degree of credibility in the context of its new commitment to religious tolerance. This leap has to be seen in connection to Lumen Gentium 16 and Nostra Aetate 2. Finally, the lasting relevance of Dignitatis Humanae is understood in the light of the Council's focused and authentic attention to human needs within a socio-political context which continues to evolve from day to day.展开更多

But in an actual PN ranging system, digital signal processing limits the ranging accuracy, only level up with meter-scale. Using non-integer chip to sample time ratio, noncommensurate sampling was seen as an effective solution to cope with the drawback of digital effects. However, researchers only paid attention to selecting specific ratios or giving a simulation model to verify the effectiveness of the noncommensurate ratios. A qualitative analysis model is proposed to characterize the relationship between the range accuracy and the noncommensurate sampling parameters. Moreover, a method is also presented which can be used to choose the noncommensurate ratio and the correlation length to get higher phase delay distinguishability and lower range jitter. The simulation results indicate the correctness of our analyses and the optimal ranging accuracy can be up to centimeter-level with the proposed approach.展开更多

First, a new texture segmentation method exploiting the JND profile is devised to detect and classify texture regions in video scenes. In this step, a spatial-temporal JND model is proposed and the JND energy of every micro-block unit is computed and compared with the threshold. Secondly, in order to effectively remove temporal redundancies while preserving high visual quality, an AR model is applied to synthesize the texture regions. All the parameters of the AR model are obtained by the least-squares method and each pixel in the texture region is generated as a linear combination of pixels taken from the closest forward and backward reference frames. Finally, the proposed method is compared with the H.264/AVC video coding system to demonstrate the performance. Various sequences with different types of texture regions are used in the experiment and the results show that the proposed method can reduce the bit-rate by 15% to 58% while maintaining good perceptual quality.展开更多

As with Heidegger, this is attempted through a turn towards art and the "emancipated contingency" that characterizes much creative production. In contrast to action and production within the knowledge economy, the creation of the artwork concerns a knowing of unknowingness (described by Maurice Blanchot as the neutral) that demands a rethink of action in relation to truth and errancy. Indeed, the very working of the work of art is conceived here as a truth that is precisely "set to work" (Heidegger) by errancy. Through a consideration of the essential difference between choice and decision and the different "beginning" of art that this suggests, the essay concludes with some reflections of the theme of art's fascination and the and the affirmation of the unknown.展开更多

As Merleau-Ponty (1970) saw, the ego cogito of phenomenology symbolizes the quest for "global truth" where "what is evident for him" is or could be for all, for he "speaks for everyone". These two works, however, challenge the standard that "he speaks", and she does not: that women "as such", as it would seem, have always already been spoken for. Instead, the focus here is on "the self' not as neutral ground but as always engendered, in every sense of that word--always emergent as well as creative always acculturated, situated, embodied, sexed or de-sexed--always speaking, or remaining stubbornly silent, and always refusing, like truth itself, to be "pinned down"展开更多

文摘GW63K (Mg-6Gd-3Y-0.5Zr) magnesium alloys were prepared successfully by high-vacuum die-casting. Effects of fast shot speed and vacuum level on the grain size and mechanical properties of this alloy were studied. Microstructure of the alloys was analyzed by SEM, EDX and optical microscope (OM). The effect of heat treatment on high vacuum die-casting (HVDC) GW63K alloy was also studied. The results indicate that with the increase of fast velocity, the tensile yield strength hardly changes, but the elongation first increases, then decreases. The optimum heat treatment process is solution treatment at 748 K for 2 h and aging at 473 K for 80 h. Under this condition, GW63K magnesium alloy exhibits a maximum tensile strength and elongation of 308 MPa and 9.45%. There is significant correlation between ductility and the presence of external solidified cells (ESCs). The as-cast GW63K alloy consists ofα-Mg and Mg24(Gd,Y)5 particles. After heat treatment, Gd and Y atoms dissolve intoα-Mg matrix.
文摘For a young, media savvy, radically globalized generation, television as a platform for news has lost momentum. Ironically, however, in a media landscape with a variety of news providers competing for audiences and trust, television news parodies like The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report attract new audiences as they seem to fill a gap. They succeed not only in entertaining and informing (even educating) a previously "deactivated", relatively young target audience, but also in initiating activism by using old and new (social) media. How can it be that a comedy show succeeds in promoting reason and gets young people to stand up for more sanity in politics and culture? In the sense that, in this case, critical (subversive) practice comes fxom within the mainstream, is television, as the platform that has been criticized for "dumbing down" audiences (cf. Postman 1985), actually becoming the solution for commitment7 In this constellation, what is the role of self-determined (intrinsic) and acquired (extrinsic) practices in relation to mobilized practices and practices determined by other factors? And how do they work differently in comparison to the subversive practices of tactical media and media activism that question the methods of biopower? This paper examines several responses to the (more and less serious) calls for action of the two shows and discusses their delicate role as entertainers, watchdogs, and activists for reason, sanity, and what is left of truth in the media. Furthermore, implications for critical media studies are considered by questioning the claims of education towards truth (of. Mitterer, 1983).

文摘The dynamic mechanical properties of rock specimens after thermal treatment in the air-filled environment(AE:i.e.,at the free surface)have been extensively investigated,yet they are rarely estimated in the quasi-vacuum environment(VE:i.e.,far from free surface),which is of special importance in engineering practice.Several precise laboratory tests(i.e.,split Hopkinson pressure bar test)on marble samples in both AE and VE were performed to investigate physical and dynamic mechanical behaviors of marble after heat treatment(25℃ to 900℃)in AE and VE.The tests results demonstrate that related properties of marble could be divided into three different stages by corresponding critical temperatures of 300℃ and 600℃,at which heat damage factors are 0.29(0.30)and 0.88(0.92)in VE(AE),respectively.The thermal damage developes more fully in AE than in VE.The thermal environment plays an important role,especially in Stage 3.Specifically,a conspicuous difference(greater than 20%)between AE and VE occurs in corresponding dynamic strength and the anti-deformation capacities of tested marble specimen.The influence of heat damage of rock is very important and valuable in engineering practice,particularly when the temperature is very high(greater than 600℃).
文摘This paper seeks a synthesis of Bayesian and geostatistical approaches to combining categorical data in the context of remote sensing classification. By experiment with aerial photographs and Landsat TM data, accuracy of spectral, spatial, and combined classification results was evaluated. It was confirmed that the incorporation of spatial information in spectral classification increases accuracy significantly. Secondly, through test with a 5-class and a 3-class classification schemes, it was revealed that setting a proper semantic framework for classification is fundamental to any endeavors of categorical mapping and the most important factor affecting accuracy. Lastly, this paper promotes non-parametric methods for both definition of class membership profiling based on band-specific histograms of image intensities and derivation of spatial probability via indicator kriging, a non-parametric geostatistical technique.
文摘The article highlights the guiding principles which make the Conciliar Declaration Dignitatis Humanae so outstanding and prophetic in character. Initially, the article focuses on the development of the Church's doctrine from a position of "error has no rights" to one where elements of truth are recognised in other religions. The questions addressed include the foundational principles of religious freedom, its limitations, as well as the positive attitudes embraced in its exercise. The article touches upon the role of the initially ~'disinvited" John Courtney Murray (1904-1967) and the unique contribution of Pietro Pavan (1903-1994) to the Declaration, as well as the evaluation made upon it by Ladislas 0rsy (b.1921) and Robert Drinan (1920-2007). With the publication of Dignitatis Humanae, the Church took a quantum leap which allowed it to gain a degree of credibility in the context of its new commitment to religious tolerance. This leap has to be seen in connection to Lumen Gentium 16 and Nostra Aetate 2. Finally, the lasting relevance of Dignitatis Humanae is understood in the light of the Council's focused and authentic attention to human needs within a socio-political context which continues to evolve from day to day.

文摘A high-precision pseudo-noise ranging system is often required in satellite-formation missions. But in an actual PN ranging system, digital signal processing limits the ranging accuracy, only level up with meter-scale. Using non-integer chip to sample time ratio, noncommensurate sampling was seen as an effective solution to cope with the drawback of digital effects. However, researchers only paid attention to selecting specific ratios or giving a simulation model to verify the effectiveness of the noncommensurate ratios. A qualitative analysis model is proposed to characterize the relationship between the range accuracy and the noncommensurate sampling parameters. Moreover, a method is also presented which can be used to choose the noncommensurate ratio and the correlation length to get higher phase delay distinguishability and lower range jitter. The simulation results indicate the correctness of our analyses and the optimal ranging accuracy can be up to centimeter-level with the proposed approach.
文摘Foucault famously questioned the humor, and possibly the deceit, at the heart of Deleuze's philosophy by asserting its sincerity and seriousness. In this paper I address how humor and sincerity, and thereby truth and falsity, are philosophical concepts at the core of Deleuze's thought. Using Deleuze's work Difference and Repetition as the focal object of my interrogation, I seek to show how truth and falsity are structured by difference and repetition. Deleuze's philosophy of pure difference does not merely try to critique traditional notions of truth, but attempts to define a new model of truth and falsity that bears both differences and repetitions from the previous models in the history of philosophy.
文摘Richard Rorty thinks he has the same agenda as Donald Davidson. He is wrong. Though Rorty contends truth as only metaphor liberates us, he actually undercuts a rich interpretative ability. Davidson's agenda provides ways to explore this ability by elucidating the conditions that reside in the make up of successful communication and in which truth claims are made about the world. Thus, Davidson and Rorty have different agenda, and Davidson's offers more promise for philosophy to help explain what we seem to know-we can communicate truthfully about the world.

文摘In order to achieve better perceptual coding quality while using fewer bits, a novel perceptual video coding method based on the just-noticeable-distortion (JND) model and the auto-regressive (AR) model is explored. First, a new texture segmentation method exploiting the JND profile is devised to detect and classify texture regions in video scenes. In this step, a spatial-temporal JND model is proposed and the JND energy of every micro-block unit is computed and compared with the threshold. Secondly, in order to effectively remove temporal redundancies while preserving high visual quality, an AR model is applied to synthesize the texture regions. All the parameters of the AR model are obtained by the least-squares method and each pixel in the texture region is generated as a linear combination of pixels taken from the closest forward and backward reference frames. Finally, the proposed method is compared with the H.264/AVC video coding system to demonstrate the performance. Various sequences with different types of texture regions are used in the experiment and the results show that the proposed method can reduce the bit-rate by 15% to 58% while maintaining good perceptual quality.
文摘This essay offers a philosophical perspective that, in breaking with both the open and surreptitious dialectical method still so prominent in academic discourse, follows Heidegger in trying to conceive of a radically non-dialectical manner of approaching affirmation, negation, and neutrality. As with Heidegger, this is attempted through a turn towards art and the "emancipated contingency" that characterizes much creative production. In contrast to action and production within the knowledge economy, the creation of the artwork concerns a knowing of unknowingness (described by Maurice Blanchot as the neutral) that demands a rethink of action in relation to truth and errancy. Indeed, the very working of the work of art is conceived here as a truth that is precisely "set to work" (Heidegger) by errancy. Through a consideration of the essential difference between choice and decision and the different "beginning" of art that this suggests, the essay concludes with some reflections of the theme of art's fascination and the and the affirmation of the unknown.
文摘The theme of the cast-away has inspired numerous literary works. This paper develops a philosophical reading of two important examples, Coetzee's Foe (1987) and Bowles' The Sheltering Sky (1951), in terms of themes such as isolation, silence and truth. But who authors, or authorizes "truth"? As Merleau-Ponty (1970) saw, the ego cogito of phenomenology symbolizes the quest for "global truth" where "what is evident for him" is or could be for all, for he "speaks for everyone". These two works, however, challenge the standard that "he speaks", and she does not: that women "as such", as it would seem, have always already been spoken for. Instead, the focus here is on "the self' not as neutral ground but as always engendered, in every sense of that word--always emergent as well as creative always acculturated, situated, embodied, sexed or de-sexed--always speaking, or remaining stubbornly silent, and always refusing, like truth itself, to be "pinned down"
