The overlapping sequences were assembled into one that includes the complete open reading frame (GenBank accession number: AY686501). The full-length cDNA of SjeIF5 was cloned into a pET-28c^(+) vector, which generated a prokaryotic expression plasmid, and a fusion protein of 18 kDa was induced in Escherichia coll. The recombinant expression of eIF5 protein of Schistosoma japonicum was purified. The immunoprotection test against schistosomiasis demonstrated that the recombinant protein worked to a certain extent, especially in the reduction of eggs in the liver of the host.展开更多

He was an influential living Buddha (Renpoche) in Tibetan Buddhism and a talented and legendary historical figure. Nowadays, more and more scholars, poets and translators have devoted to the study of his works. Here we will focus on discussing the English translation of his poems and their value. We analyze texts of the Tsangyang Gyatso's Poems (Chinese-English) and seek to further study the translation principles such as "retaining truth, seeking goodness and preserving beauty". By doing this, we strive to improve the quality of translation, give consideration to the construction of the four elements such as poetic meaning, emotion, tone and intention, to enable the reader to achieve the senses and the acquisition of images, to provide more perfect translation in the "Tsangyang Gyatso Vogue", to promote the dissemination and sharing of Tibetan culture and to inject new vitality.展开更多

Methods: The expression of elF-4E and p53 in 32 cases of SCC was detected by immunohistochemical SABC method. Results: The positive rate of elF-4E and p53 expression was 93.8% and 56.3% in SCC, and the levels of eIF-4E and p53 were significantly higher in SCC than those in the normal skin tissue (P 〈 0.05). Conclusion: Both elF-4E and p53 were useful markers in SCC, but the specialty and sensitivity of the eiF- 4E protein was high in SCC.展开更多

DNA damage induces cellular responses that enable the cell either to repair the damaged DNA or cope with the damage in an appropriate way. Histone proteins are also the fundamental building blocks of eukaryotic chromatin besides DNA, and many types of post-translational modifications often occur on tails of histones. Although the function of these modifications has remained elusive, there is ever-growing studies suggest that histone modifications play vital roles in several chromatin-based processes, such as DNA damage response. In this review, we will discuss the main histone modifications, and their functions in DNA damage response.展开更多
