The theoretic model shows that households with higher income have lower average an...This paper studies the relationship between the widening urban-rural income inequality and weak household consumption demand in China. The theoretic model shows that households with higher income have lower average and marginal propensity to consume (APC and MPC), and that the larger the income gap is, the weaker household consumption demand becomes. This paper tests the theoretical model with the panel data of 28 Chinese provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions from 1978 to 2009. The results show that with an increase of RMBIO, O00 in income, household APC drops by 25.6 percent and MPC by 7.0 percent," and that if the income gap widens by one unit, household consumption rate drops by 6. 5 percentage points. Simulation results reveal that the widening urban-rural income inequality caused an extra drop of 3.42 percentage points in household consumption rate from 2000 to 2008, which accounts for 30.8 percent of the total drop in household consumption rate during that period.展开更多

However, the effect of urban transport policy in the local city is influenced with the complex interaction of automobile traffic and public transport traffic. Particularly, behaviours of vehicles should be described with the fuzziness of the subjective recognition and operation. On the other hand, the trip makers are influenced by various transport policies in terms of mode choice behaviour. The change in mode choice behaviour and number of public transport mode users would eventually affect traffic flow conditions on road network. Modal spilt and traffic conditions of a network are interrelated. Therefore, the present study mainly aims to integrate mode choice model and microscopic traffic simulation model based on fuzzy logic. In the study, the fuzzy logic based mode choice model is proposed. The proposed mode choice model and the existing microscopic traffic simulation model are combined. The developed model has been applied on real urban network to demonstrate the effectiveness of the installation of LRT system. Finally, it is helpful for evaluation of transport policy that the fuzzy logic based microscopic traffic simulation with modal choice model has been constructed.展开更多

This paper summarizes some useful and efficient methods and practices to make teaching more effective and to help students learn better on the basis of integrated teaching approaches, especially, the CBI, the communicative approach, the natural approach. Language is being taught depend on the students' analysis. Successful learning should be learner-centered and in real-life communication. Teacher needs to supply authentic materials, good comprehensible input and low the affective filter to motivate the students learning. Moreover, teacher is suggested to establish an English-learning environment via learning English through English and teaching English through English.展开更多
