A fault injection model-oriented testing strategy was proposed for detecting component vulnerabilities.A fault injection model was defined,and the faults were injected into the tested component based on the fault inje...A fault injection model-oriented testing strategy was proposed for detecting component vulnerabilities.A fault injection model was defined,and the faults were injected into the tested component based on the fault injection model to trigger security exceptions.The testing process could be recorded by the monitoring mechanism of the strategy,and the monitoring information was written into the security log.The component vulnerabilities could be detected by the detecting algorithm through analyzing the security log.Lastly,some experiments were done in an integration testing platform to verify the applicability of the strategy.The experimental results show that the strategy is effective and operable.The detecting rate is more than 90%for vulnerability components.展开更多

Methods: Based on geographic information system technology, the management information system for SARS disease in Shaanxi province of China was established using "SuperMap Objects 3.0" GIS development platform and Delphi 7.0.Results: The following functions were implemented in the system: the real-time collection and monitoring, management and analysis, dissemination of SARS disease information, and assistant decision-making support for prevention against SARS disease. Conclusion: The system that integrates epidemiology theories and GIS techniques together can provide a scientific, efficient means for monitoring, prevention of SARS disease in the future.展开更多
China's supervisory mechanism is peculiar in that it integrated the supervisory board (SB) of the German corporate governance (CG) model in 1993, and has simultaneously adopted the audit committee (AC) of the A...China's supervisory mechanism is peculiar in that it integrated the supervisory board (SB) of the German corporate governance (CG) model in 1993, and has simultaneously adopted the audit committee (AC) of the Anglo-American model since 2002. This paper aims to reveal the effectiveness of SBs in coordination with ACs in China. The regulations for Anglo-American and Chinese systems are compared and further evidence is provided through interviewing two governors of all listed companies in the SSE and of 79 investment corporations in Hangzhou. Both statements indicate that China still faces difficulties and problems in meeting the two indexes of independence and expertise of supervision to give effective supervisory functions. Both opinions differed in terms of the co-ordination of SBs and ACs in the future. The evidence presented forms a basis for proposals of how key characteristics of effectiveness and co-ordination can be improved to make supervisory functions in China more effective.展开更多
The turning motion of a tracked pipeline-robot implemented by skid steering is a nonholonomic dynamic problem with intrinsic nonlinearity, to which the classical control method is inappropriate and cannot be applied. ...The turning motion of a tracked pipeline-robot implemented by skid steering is a nonholonomic dynamic problem with intrinsic nonlinearity, to which the classical control method is inappropriate and cannot be applied. This paper presents a novel path tracking control method based on hierarchical fuzzy structure. The controller consists of three sub-level low dimensional fuzzy control systems: fuzzy supervisory control, fuzzy steering and fuzzy velocity control. As a result, establishing the bases of rules for the fuzzy control becomes feasible and simplified, and the related controller can be adapted to complicated ground and environment. Using this method, the number of fuzzy controt rules is greatly decreased so that the curse of dimensionality causing the multivariable problem does not occur. Simulation and experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method with satisfied performance on path tracking. Autonomous navigation of the caterpillar-inspired pipeline-robot is also implemented based on the sensor feedbacks.展开更多

It provides arguments for a more holistic approach towards leadership develop...The purpose of this paper is to define a leadership competency framework for nuclear within Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA). It provides arguments for a more holistic approach towards leadership development in nuclear organization. It further provides leadership framework that can be used (adapted/adopted) by other regulatory bodies for developing leadership within the organization. It is expected that new countries embarking on nuclear power programme will especially find this interesting and useful as they will also face similar challenges as faced by Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority during its formative year. Paper further provides insights into the process of leadership development in organization. It is suggested that an integrated approach is important to develop nuclear leadership within the organization. It was also found that an effective leadership development program is not only long process but requires commitment from top leadership. Leadership gap analysis, providing open feedback and action learning project were important elements for leadership development.展开更多
