Results show that an ultrashort pulse can manipulate a coherent rotational wave packet of D2 se- lectively. In the calculation, a first laser pulse was used to create a coherent rotational wave packet from an initial thermal ensemble of D2 at the temperature of 300 K. The second laser pulse was used to manipulate the rotational wave packet selectively around the first quarter and the three quarters revival. The alignment parameter and its Fourier transform amplitude both illustrate that the relative populations of even and odd rotational states in the final rotational wave packet of D2 can be manipulated by precisely selecting the time delay between the first and the second ultrashort pulse.展开更多

The Microcystis treated by short-time ultrasonic wave was select-ed to analyze the total protein based on 2-DE. The results showed that there were 71 up-regulated protein spots, 56 down-regulated protein spots, 54 new protein spots and 21 protein spots disappeared under short-time ultrasonic stress. Eight dif-ferential proteins were chosen for further MALDI-TOFTOF/MS analysis, and the re-sults showed that 2 unknown proteins and 6 functional proteins were detected. These proteins were relevant to some physiological processes, such as antioxidation and anti-inflammatory process, phosphate synthesis and electron transfer, which is beneficial to the metabolic balance and self-protection under short-time ultrasonic stress.展开更多

Two circles after the recovery of menstruation, color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were used to estimate the shape, size and blood flow of uterus, and pathological examinations were performed to check against any lesions to uterine endometrium and ovary. Results Forty days after FUB abortion, menstruation recovered and the volume and duration of each macaque’s menstruation were not changed compared with those be- fore gestation. CDFI and MRI suggested that the size and shape of uterus were normal. The endometrial line was clear and no lesions were found in adjacent organs. Conclusion FUB termination of early pregnancy in macaques did not damage their ovarian tissue and had no influence on subsequent menstrual recovery.Key words: focused ultrasound beams (FUB); macaque; early pregnancy; menstrual recovery展开更多

By the bilinear method, we construct the breather solutions for the extended (1+1),(2+1) and(3+1)-dimensional N-CHNLSE. The rogue waves are derived as a limiting form of breathers with the aid of symbolic computation. The effect of group velocity dispersion (GVD), third-order dispersion (TOD) and nonlinearity on breathers and rogue waves solutions are discussed in the optical communication systems.展开更多

N-soliton solutions for such an equation are constructed and verified with the Wronskian technique. Collisions among the three solitons are discussed and illustrated, and effects of the coefficientsσ1(x, t),σ2(x, t),σ3(x, t) and v(x, t) on the collisions are graphically analyzed, whereσ1(x, t),σ2(x, t),σ3(x, t) and v(x, t) are the first-, second-, third-order dispersion parameters and an inhomogeneous parameter related to the phase modulation and gain(loss), respectively. The head-on collisions among the three solitons are observed, where the collisions are elastc. Whenσ1(x, t) is chosen as the function of x, amplitudes of the solitons do not alter, but the speed of one of the solitons changes.σ2(x, t) is found to affect the amplitudes and speeds of the two of the solitons. It reveals that the collision features of the solitons alter withσ3(x, t)=-1.8x. Additionally, traveling directions of the three solitons are observed to be parallel when we change the value of v(x, t).展开更多

The high-order harmonic spectrum is calculated by solving the time-dependent Schr6dinger equation using the split-operator method. In our calculation, we present the difference of the high-order harmonic spectrum from one-dimensional (1D) model hydrogen atom and three-dimensional (3D) real hydrogen atom. We found that the plateau of the high-order harmonic generation from the 1D ease and 3D case are all extended effectively to Iv -k 35Up due to the presence of the chirped laser pulse and the HHG supercontinuum spectrum is generated by adding an ultraviolet controlling pulse at a proper time, but the efficiency of the HHC for 3D case is more higher at the near cut-off region than the 1D case. Therefore, the generation of the attosecond pulse by synthesizing the harmonics near cut-off region have some slight differences between 1D and 3D simulations. As a real 3D case study, we show that an isolated 18 as pulse with a bandwidth of 232.5 eV is generated directly by optmizing the combination laser fields.展开更多
