It is considered that the comtent of petroporphyrin in the oil-generating formations depends on the quantity and nature of organic matter, sedimentation environmaut and burying depth. There is a porphyrin-rich interval at the depth of 2,200--2,700m with the corresponding geothermal temperatures ranging from 93° to 119℃. It is also an all-accumulating zone. Nickel in the crude or in the nucleus of petroporphyrin was accumulated during the process of oil generation. Nickel porphyrin in the oil-generating formations has a negative correlaticn with the content of nickel.Evaluation of oil-generating formations has beau made on the basis of petroporphyrin.展开更多
