The distribution, affinity and removability of the trace elements were studied by float-sink experiments and petrological methods. A high mineral content, dominated by clay minerals, was found in the No.14 coal from the Huolinhe mine. The concentrations of As, Sb and Hg are relatively high compared to the average values for Chinese coals. As, Cr, Hg, Li, Mn, Pb are mainly associated with the minerals while Cd, Co, Ni, Sb, and Se are evenly distributed between the minerals and the organic matter. Be and Ba are mainly distributed in the minerals with a minor proportion in the organic matter. Most elements have a low organic affinity, although Sb, Se, Co, Cd, Ni are closely integrated with the organic matter. High theoretical removabilities are indicated for most trace elements. So it may be possible to lower the concentrations of trace elements during coal preparation.展开更多

Although there was an obvious indication of low levels of essential nutrients in the reclaimed farmlands (organic matter=0.32 g kg -1 ,total N=380.8 mg kg -1 , available P=4.7 mg kg -1 ), compared to the undisturbed farmlands (organic matter=2.5 g kg -1 , total N=1 220 g kg -1 , available P=20.8 mg kg -1 ), the uneven pattern of nutrient distribution was also shown to have been the major limitation to successful reclamation. Further improvement can be achieved through the integration of intensive eco farming systems using proper fertilizer field correction (PFFC) and organic manure for successful reestablishment and management of newly reclaimed farmlands overlying the Xuzhou coal mine subsidence.展开更多

There are a lot of gold deposits in the Altai ore belt in Xinjiang, China. These gold deposits belong to two genetic types: volcanogene late-stage hydrothermal type and fractured altered rock type. The authors discuss mainly the geological and mineralized features of fractured altered rock type of gold deposits in Altai gold ore belt. Base on this study, the metallogenic law is summarized and the deep metallogenic prognosis has been done in Duolanasayi and Tuokuzibayi gold deposits, and some mineralized anomalys have been discovered.展开更多
