The flotation separation of smithsonite from calcite and quartz using a alkyl diamine ether(GE-609)as the collector was investigated through micro-flotation experiments and the real ore flotation experiments.The resul...The flotation separation of smithsonite from calcite and quartz using a alkyl diamine ether(GE-609)as the collector was investigated through micro-flotation experiments and the real ore flotation experiments.The results show that GE-609exhibits good collecting capability to three minerals without selectivity.The presence of sodium sulfide enhances the flotation of smithsonite and calcite while inhibits quartz.Moreover,both sodium silicate and sodium hexametaphosphate exhibit good selective inhibition to calcite.The real ore test results show that a zinc concentrate containing23.51%Zn with the recovery of71.02%is obtained in the closed-circuit test.To understand the adsorption of GE-609on smithsonite surface,zeta potential measurement and FTIR analysis were carried out,and the results indicate that the collector GE-609can adsorb on smithsonite surface through both electrostatic adsorption and chemical adsorption,and the presence of sodium sulfide enhances the adsorption of GE-609.展开更多
Worldwide environment has resulted in a limit on the sulfur content of gasoline.It is urgent to investigate the desulfurization of gasoline.The polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)/polyetherimide(PEI)composite membranes were pr...Worldwide environment has resulted in a limit on the sulfur content of gasoline.It is urgent to investigate the desulfurization of gasoline.The polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)/polyetherimide(PEI)composite membranes were prepared by casting a PDMS solution onto porous PEI substrates and characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM).The membranes were used for sulfur removal from gasoline by pervaporation.The effects of feed temperature,sulfur content in the feed and PDMS layer thickness on membrane performance were investigated,and an activation energy of permeation was obtained.Experimental results indicated that higher feed temperature yielded higher total flux and lower sulfur enrichment factor.The total flux varied little with the increase of sulfur content in the feed,but the sulfur enrichment factor first increased with the amount of thiophene added into the gasoline,and then the variation was little.The increase of PDMS layer thickness resulted in a smaller flux but a larger sulfur enrichment factor.The result indicates that the PDMS/PEI composite membranes are promising for desulfurization by pervaporation.展开更多

The aromatic S-compounds are grafted to the polymer through Friedel-Crafts reaction and removed facilely along with the polymer. The OADS mechanism is identified by scanning electron microscope and analyzer with surface area and pore size of the polymer. The influ- ence of some factors on the OADS is studied, e.g. the type and amount of chlorinated polymers and Lewis acids. It is nroved that thionhene and benzothioDhene can be removed efficiently from oil by PVC+AlCl3 mixture even in the presence of 25% (by mass) of benzene due to the synergetic effects of the adsorptive desulfurization of AlCl3 and the alkylation desulfurization of PVC.展开更多
