The compositions and structures of the ligands and their complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivities, electronic absorption spectra and infra-red spectra. Their inhibition rates to free radical, such as O2, were also tested. The results show that all of the obtained complexes display significant activities, among which the copper(Ⅱ) complexes have the best inhibitive effects.展开更多

Ru(Ⅲ) is chelated with two O2N anionic tridentate Schiff bases derived from 5-X-salicyladehyde and 2-aminophenol. Spectroscopic titrations of the Ru(Ⅲ) compounds with CT DNA (calf thymus DNA) in the LMCT (ligand metal charge transfer) region have shown moderate intercalation properties of compounds with binding constants KD = 2.06-3.85 × 104 Ml. Electrochemical evidence of intercalative mode of binding is based on the decrease of current and shift of anodic and cathodic peaks towards higher values of potential with IxL-increment of CT DNA in Ru(Ⅲ) compound solution.展开更多

The peptide content was determined by TCA-biuret method, and amino acid was determined by Ninhydrin. The antioxidative activity of the hydrolysates was investigated by measuring the reducing ability, the inhibition of lipoxygenase activity, and antioxidative ability in linoleic acid oxidation system. The hydrolysates exhibited high antioxidative activity. In addition, the hydrolysates scavenged 58.38% on hydroxyl radical and 46.88% on superoxide radical.展开更多
