The karst cavern reservoirs are easiest to identify on seismic reflection data. The prediction, exploration, and development of this type of reservoir require theoretical research on seismic wave fields reflected from complex inhomogeneous media. We compute synthetic seismic sections for fluidfilled cavern reservoirs of various heights and widths using random media models and inhomogeneous media elastic wave equations. Results indicate that even caverns significantly smaller than 1/ 4 wavelength are detectible on conventional band-width seismic sections as diffractions migrated into bead-type events. Diffraction amplitude is a function of cavern height and width. We introduce a width-amplitude factor which can be used to calculate the diffraction amplitude of a cavern with a limited width from the diffraction amplitude computed for an infinitely wide cavern.展开更多

Firstly, Basic magnesium carbonate was prepared from magnesite, and the characteristics of the product were detected by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Subsequently, the thermal decomposition process of basic magnesium carbonate in air was studied by thermogravimetry-differential thermogravimetry (TG-DTG). The results of XRD confirm that the chemical composition of basic magnesium carbonate is 4MgCO3·Mg(OH)2·4H2O. And the SEM images show that the sample is in sheet structure, with a diameter of 0.1-1 μm. The TG-DTG results demonstrate that there are two steps in the thermal decomposition process of basic magnesium carbonate. The apparent activation energies (E) were calculated by Flyrm-Wall-Ozawa method. It is obtained from Coats-Redfem's equation and Malek method that the mechanism functions of the two decomposition stages are D3 and A1.5, respectively. And then, the kinetic equations of the two steps were deduced as well.展开更多

To investigate clinically useful markers for determining the seventy of hemorrhagic shock and adequacy of resuscitation Methods. Prospective study was undertaken in 12 dogs, using an established model for hemorrhagic shock. The anesthetized dogs were bled to a mean arterial pressure of 40 mmHg which was maintained for 3 hours. Then each animal was resuscitated with heperinized whole blood followed by intravenous infusion of dobutamine at a rate of 5 ug. kg-1. min-1 for 10 minutes. Arterial and mixed venous blood gases, arterial lactate concentrations and hemodynamic Parameters were measured throughout the study. Results. A difference in the PCO2 and pH values between arterial and mixed venous blood was observed. Arterial-venous PCO2 and pH difference increased significantly after sustained shock. The arteriovenous carbon dioxide and pH gradients recovered more rapidly than arterial lactate levels after successful resuscitation with blood and dobutamine. Conclusion. Arterial blood gases fail to reflect the acid-base status of tissues during hemorrhagic shock. The differences in PCO2 and pH values between arterial and mixed venous blood could be used as clinical in- dicators for assessing the seventy of shock and efficacy of resuscitation.展开更多

The catalytic gasification of coal samples by CO2 in the presence single or mixed alkali carbonates was investigated by thermogravimetric analysis. The experimental results indicate that the catalytic effect of Li2CO3 is significantly larger than that of Na2CO3 or K2CO3. The catalytic effect of the mixed, bi-metal carbonate containing Li2C03 and Na2C03, or Li2CO3, and K2C03, is related to the compo- sition of the catalyst and the proportion of the two components. The bi-metal carbonates having a mole ratio of 9:1 (lri:x) has the largest catalytic effect for PS coal gasification. A synergistic effect between Li and K, or Na, carbonate appears at temperatures greater than 1300 K. An un-reacted shrinking core model is suitable for kinetic analysis of catalytic gasification of coal samples in the presence of alkali carbonates. It is inappropriate, however, to evaluate the catalytic effect only by the activation energy obtained from the kinetic calculations.展开更多

X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to analyze the composition and microstructure of the surface film. The results showed that there were two anodic peaks at -600 mV and -350 mV. The surface film formed at -600 mV mainly consisted of ferrous carbonates and ferrous hydroxycarbonates. It had a small reaction resistance. It was metastable and possessed poor protective property. Numerous pits and microcracks existed on the film, which could be the active paths for the initiation of stress corrosion cracking. The surface film formed at -350 mV, mainly consisted of ferric oxides. It has high reaction resistance and offered good protection for the substrate.展开更多
